I have been battling two leaks, one on each side of the house where we added an addition in 2006. Jose, the owner at Restoration Roofing, was able to squeeze me in and visited me the same day I requested the estimate on Yelp while the others responded and came in a day or two. Jose arrived early for our appointment and flew a drone over the house, the other roofers relied on a company that specializes in providing sqft and other data to roofers. Jose was the only one who really impressed me and presented me with a beautifully written, thorough, bulleted estimate describing all materials to be used per my preferences (e.g., Certainteed Landmark Pro shingles) before even leaving. Jose was friendly, professional and obviously knew residential roofing based on our half an hour or so together. The other roofers all got back with estimates in a day or two, which was fine - but Jose's estimate was the best-written, clear and concise but thorough, on a one-page form. Jose did not pressure me while I was waiting on the other roofers' estimates at all, when he left he just shook my hand and asked me to contact him if I had any other questions, in a warm and genuine way. The overall sense I had, combining all the Yelp reviews and my own interaction with Jose was that he is a genuine, friendly roofing expert. When the other estimates came in, I was happy to see Restoration Roofing's was among the lowest two for a lot of reasons. One reason was the pages and pages of stellar Yelp reviews from Yelpers who had solid Yelping history. Another was his communication and person skills. In addition, Jose's company is Certainteed Master Certified and Certainteed shingles, from my research, are great value and quality. In addition to a new roof and identification of the source of the leaks and repair/prevention and the upgraded shingles, I asked for new oversized gutters and downspouts, and pvc facia. When roofing day arrived, Santos, Josh and a crew seven others were right on time and were friendly and hard-working! I watched off and on as they did herculean work to remove the old roof, including replacing some of the rotted wood in need of replacement (see pic of one leak and damaged wood). They did a fine job, paying attention to detail and photographing their progress from their lofty perch, and at the job's completion Jose provided me with a link to over a hundred photos documenting the progress. I watched as the flashing, nailing, boot replacement... everything went flawlessly. And they did a great job cleaning up and did a couple extra things no charge, like resecuring soffit. I was confident when I selected Restoration Roofing over the other highly-rated roofers. A week and a half later, my roof is beautiful! All in all from appointment to estimate, to roofing, to gutters, to the photos and the price of the estimate holding true, it was a stellar experience and I can't thank them all enough for being so great at what each excels at. We called Loudoun Roofing & Home Improvement because the ridge vents on our roof were damaged from…read morethe wind and potentially leaking. Other companies wanted to send a crew out to just "repair" the cheap aluminum ridge vents that the builder installed, but Esteban recommended a longer lasting solution. He went on the roof, took pictures and showed me the condition of all the vents. He then recommended replacing just the ridge vents with a better quality vent that would last longer and not be susceptible to wind and other damage. When he gave me the estimate, I was pleasantly surprised that the cost was very reasonable. Esteban and his crew came out 2 days later and completed the job it one afternoon. They exactly matched the roofing material we already had, and when they were done the roof looked like new. Not only did they fix the vents, they went around and re-sealed any exposed nails in other parts of the roof AND cleaned out my rain gutters (all just because they were already on the roof). I live in a 3 story townhouse and had a water leak in a bedroom on the top floor. The house was built in 2014 so I was pretty surprised that I was having an issue. The first "roof specialist" that came over spent 5 min in the attic and then 10 on the roof and told me he couldn't find any sign of the leak or its cause. Just in case, he said he had caulked where he pulled up an exposed nail and that I shouldn't have any more problems. Well, it rained the next day and the ceiling leak got worse. Luckily, I called Loudoun Roofing next and Esteban came out and wouldn't leave until he found the leak. He spent over 20min in the attic (which was like 100+ degrees) and another 30 minutes on the roof. He was VERY thorough and not only found the source of the leak, but also many other issues with drainage and some construction issues. Documenting with pics and descriptions of the work that needed to be done. Long story short, Esteban came out the next week, completed the work and the cost was very competitive with the other roofer that could not find the issue and wanted to do "exploratory surgery". I trust Esteban and Keylah and the work that they do and would 100% recommend to family and friends. Please contact me if you have any questions. With regards to the heating of our home, the windows were no better than screens. I reached out, looking for windows and installers. I had a few people come in and estimate the job. None of them impressed me until Greg from Windows on Washington came over. He walked me through several options and explained how the windows they used were manufactured and why. Windows on Washington got the job. My windows and my doors were being manufactured. So they sent out a wonderful gentleman to get the final accurate measurements. Great guy. After that, communication was wonderful as were were assessed of the stage we were in. This included when we got the email and calls explaining that, since we were on a higher floor, they needed to bring in some equipment to lift the new doors up to our balcony. No surprises. Installation day was amazing as Joon and his team came in, got everything into place, and cleaned up the areas to better than when they got here. Joon then went over the features on our windows and even explained how we get to and clean the outsides of the glass. Wonderful man and amazing team. Since then, we have gotten copies of our warranty and the guarantees. And the company has reached out twice to ask if we have any questions and to ensure that we are happy with our windows. We are. We are very happy with our windows. Almost as happy as we are with the people who got them into our home.
