I'm so grateful for the volunteers at the USO Honolulu. They were an incredible help ahead of my travels to visit my active duty spouse in South Korea. This location is incredibly clean, well-stocked, and filled with tons of activities for all ages. It was a great way for me to relax and gather my thoughts ahead of a 11 hour flight. They provide guests to the USO with complimentary iced tea, hot coffee, water, bagels, muffins, and a few other treats. There's about a dozen puzzles to choose from to keep yourself busy. Televisions, computers, free WiFi and lots of other fun stuff. Another incredibly thoughtful addition was the feminine products and basic necessities they provide like toothbrushes and razors. I really appreciated the quiet place to unwind and get away from the large crowds at the airport.

USO-HNL is located on the ground floor between Baggage claims G & H, near the escalator leading from the ground to Lobbies 5 & 6. Normally its not a must-go stop when I fly on my preferred carrier. But I sometimes have to fly another carrier. It definitely came in handy when I got my check in time mixed up and got to the airport 6 hours prior! They offer a complete list of basic amenities: media room; counter & bar tables; recharging stations; internet terminals & printers; showers; a canteen with snacks, beverages, or meals; and information services. Used to use the USO often when I started out in the military and during deployments, a nice alternative in airports! Definitely keep it in mind for future trips! Repeat and recommend!

No mind you I've been serving in The NAVY close to 30 years, been to ALOT of USO ACROSS THE WORLD. This one at the Airport is possibly the worst every time I come here. Staff is not trained on customer service, I was asked if I had headphones for my phone, I was like is there headphones for the main TV BLASTING? The food here has gone down hill. They have cleaned this place up a little. I feel like I am being monitored in here. This is not a relaxed feeling being in here. USO FOR MILITARY should be as compatible as United Airlines lounges or premier lounges. Change the name on the shirts here to (Warden) instead of volunteer

Love this USO! So cozy and the volunteers are always welcoming and helpful! They had chili the evening we were there that was AWESOME!! Next, this is the USO so everyone please support! Even if you just stop by to check in and grab a snack or a quick clean bathroom break while at the airport, I definitely recommend supporting any and all USO!

What is USO Hawaii? It's an acronym for United Service Organization and basically it provides morale, welfare and recreation for U.S. military troops and their family. Up until today I didn't know that Hawaii had one. Where is this USO Center? It's located at the Honolulu International Airport. Best way to get there is to drive up the Departure Ramp and find parking either on the second or fourth floor of the parking garage (nearest the sky bridge). Walk across the sky bridge and no matter what floor you're on - press 1 to the baggage claim area. USO Hawaii is located between Baggage claim E and F by the elevators and indirectly below the Starbucks on the second floor. Like all the other reviews indicate there are amenities and services that make the weary U.S. military traveler (and their dependents & family) feel more comfortable during their temporary stay at the airport. This is especially helpful when their time at the airport is lengthy. My son was dropped off at the airport roughly around 1:00 pm and was expected to stay (and not leave) the airport until his flight departs at 8:00 pm. That's a long time to be at any airport but somehow that is the process for military recruits preparing to depart for Basic Military Training. Thank goodness for the USO!! I was able to comfortably visit with him at the USO before he deployed for training. I could tell that just by having someplace comfortable and relaxing put my son (and myself) at ease before the rigors of basic training. There are recliners, snacks, clean bathrooms and computers as well as a outlets to charge your electronic devices.

Is it possible for Japanese people to use the shower? If it is available and a fee is required, please let me know the price.?

The USO is exclusively for US military members and their dependents.

Is it after or before TSA for those who are waiting for a flight?

Aloha! The USO is outside of TSA, on the ground floor of Terminal 2 in baggage claim.

Does the USO HNL have showers? If so are amenities included (towels, shampoo, soap, conditioner)? Thanks!

The USO Honolulu does have a shower and all toiletries and towels available.

The missing 1.5 is for a smaller selection than most premium lounges. Their miso braised pork was stand-out and their lilikoi cheesecake bar was delicious. Most of their produce/fruit offerings were local and fresh - can't say that about every lounge I've been to. Staff were continually refilling the stations. Drink selection is quite bare - 1 hard seltzer and 2 beers, a few different wines (I didn't check). No spirits, which other self-serve lounges even have. They make it a point to tell you that everything is self-service, including bussing your own plates and dishes. As such, some guests still leave their dishes and trash behind and it really doesn't seem like anyone is paying attention, so tables can stay full for a while. There are very limited big/full tables with outlets nearby, so I ended up bussing someone else's dishes myself to use the table for our party. Everything seemed clean, including bathrooms. Someone is also regularly cleaning it. Wifi wasn't strong enough for me to download anything off Netflix, which was strange, but maybe it was just me. All in all, this would be a 3.5/5 lounge experience, but still glad to have it.

We lucked out with seats right in front of where the Honu was parked! I love the convenience of the lounge being right above the departure gates in Terminal 2. There's a variety of every course: rice, chicken curry, udon, sandwiches, açaí bowl, musubi, drinks, alcohol. Lots of stalls in the clean bathroom, by the kids play area. There is a separate jet bridge that connects passengers while boarding the upper cabin of ANA's Airbus 380 Aircraft. There is a regular lounge and a Suite lounge both sharing one same entrance. Me and my other half booked premium economy and was first to get to the regular lounge as my cousin and his other half were both booked in business class having access to the suite lounge as well. The regular lounge had a semi-full bar, a full spread of buffet selection, an udon bar, as well as non-alcoholic beverages with a premium coffee maker serving illy brand coffee. This lounge is spacious, seating area is extensive, especially considering that HNL isn't a very large airport. There are mainly three different types of seating; comfy lounge chairs and sofas with coffee tables line the large floor-to-ceiling windows, providing a spectacular views of the tarmac and runway. If you are going to Tokyo Narita on the A380, you'll see the HONU aircraft just outside the window. Many passengers were airplane spotting as the first Honu was taxiing out and taking off. Long benches with communal tables are another seating that also serves as a workstation. The dining space also has AC power as well as USB outlets. There is also restaurant style with round cocktail tables, rectangular dining tables making it a very nice space to enjoy snacks, cocktails, or full meal before the flight. Food servers and ground staff agents are professional, and friendly. The entire lounge is kept sparking clean including the restrooms located just past the children's play area. Table and counters were constantly wiped down, the air conditioning temperature and ambiance is truly a Hawaiian/Japanese environment.

It is air-conditioned and is a nice respite away from other portions of the terminal which are open air and can get a little warm depending on the season. We didn't stay very long as the lounge got full very quickly and felt a little crowded so we decided to leave and head to arcade a little early. All in all a nice spot for a quick rest but not somewhere I would find myself staying too long as you are not able to have a private conversation as there is no auditory privacy here. But I do appreciate the cold beverages and a soft, comfy chair.

The server won't come to take your order. Not sure how this is handled if you have no phone. They may have menus and drinks written on chalkboard at bar or maybe request a paper menu. She brought us waters with a bottle to refill on our own, plates, cutlery and napkins. Drinks didn't take long and were deliciously concocted. We ordered chips with ahi dip- lots of dip and not enough chips but I'm sure if you asked for more they would acquiesce. Yummy and right flavor not too salty. Also onion rings which were large and plenty in the basket! You had choice of ranch dressing or brown mustard and we wanted to mix so she said no problem and brought them! Then we had to try the dessert flight which were three cute little prepared sweets of crème Brûlée, strawberry shortcake and a brownie with some type of custard on top. Yum! Place was clean, not too loud, and a restroom inside their place which was nice. Slightly more cooked - not caramelized - onions and a smear more mushroom paste. Over all food quality and presentation is poor at best. Descriptions are lacking information or out right deceptive.
