4.4 I can't believe this place isn't packed. Great prices and really good food. I got Samsa which was so soft and flaky and on the inside it had some flavorful ground meat. The Butter Naan was perfect It had perfect amount of butter and it was so soft and delicate, I could eat 100 of them. For the entree I got lamb kebab and it was good as well. It was tender and decent flavor, just a lil more flavor would make it perfect. I also tasted the whole fish from my friends plate and that was really good, flaky and flavorful umami taste. The cake had a good taste even though it's not my type of cake. I like moist cakes instead of dry. The employees were very attentive and helpful, my friend was allergic to butter and he made sure they accompanied us. The inside was really nice with the huge paintings and cultural decor. I can't wait to try more dishes.

Mouthwatering food Healthy portions Repeat-eligible Surprisingly delicious seafood for such a landlocked nationality. Nice decor, great flavors, adequate pricing, and quaint location. The Uyghur salad was so good, I had it for an appetizer and then again for dessert. My whole family was thrilled from start to finish with every dish we ordered. The restrooms could use some TLC, but everything else was top notch.

Homemade laghman beef

First time trying uyghur food! Everything here is halal, and they serve lamb, beef, chicken, or veggie options. If you're looking to splurge, they also cook a whole lamb or goat for $850 (order a day in advance). The laghman noodles were the traditional Chinese thick noodles with a lot of sauce and peppers. Goyro laghman had more sauce and mu'er (wood ear mushroom). I think the best noodle dish was the gambian soman because the noodles were coated in a sauce that made it more flavorful. It was slightly saltier though. All of us got noodles and it was really filling. The chicken in the laghman was also cooked really well, better than the beef. I would recommend gambian soman if you were to get one noodle dish, if you don't mind a saltier brown sauce. Otherwise, get the chicken goyro laghman which comes with mu'er mushrooms. They also sell mango lassi for $9.95, buy one get one free. I think uyghur food tasted to me like a blend of chinese, indian, and turkish cuisine. They were also playing a lot of turkish and hindi songs in the background. There's also a nice seating area on the floor, if you choose (shoes off). All the dining is upstairs so you have to go up the stairs from when you first enter. Service was a bit slow, took them a long time to give us our checks. I think it was because there was only one waiter on the floor.

Full Turkish breakfast for 2!

They get a late start. 1030ish. Didn't have a barista yet but the server could do espresso. The tea was absolutely amazing. The breakfast is probably one of my all time favorites. I wish they offered it at their DC location. Will have again. Over and over, every few weeks

Our Lunch

OK first I have to say we got a lunch delivery so......there's that. The food was truly delicious. We ordered online so there may have been a communication problem. We got one item wrong and were missing one item but were charged for it and when we called about it they said they were out of that item today,a call back to tell us that would have made the experience better. Getting charged for something that you know you don't have is a bit irresponsible. Again the food was really really good so at the end of the day I would say stay away from delivery and go to the restaurant to eat. I can't speak to that yet but I will at a later time Cheers to all!

Authenticity wins. Service was superb too. Owner was so kind that she gave us free cake which tasted wonderful too. Would certainly go back.

Yellow Spicy Cold Noodles with lamb kabobs

Had a wonderful New Years Eve dinner here. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor overlooking a neighborhood park. Interior is decorated with Silk Road style paintings, textiles and hats. The menu has Middle Eastern and Asian influences. We shared their house special tea. It had leaves and dried flowers steeped in a clear tea pot. Could taste different hints of flowers in a black tea base. For starters we shared the Adas and the samsas. The former was a light but flavorful lentil dip that came with slices of warm eerkins butter naan. The naan was more doughy and buttery than other types I've had but very good. The samsas were well-seasoned beef turnovers wrapped in a flaky pastry exterior. Both were excellent. Got the spicy yellow cold noodles with lamb kabobs. The noodles were firm and tossed in black vinegar, chili oil and paste, and cilantro. While spicy, still very refreshing. The lamb kabobs were piping hot and tender. Hints of cumin and chili powder on the kabobs enhanced their flavors. My companion enjoyed his gam bian soman. Noise levels were low, staff was friendly. Will be back to try other dishes.

I highly recommend this restaurant, the food is FANTASTIC! Not to mention the atmosphere is great as well, the restaurant is very traditional Uyghur style. They have both normal dining area as well as a traditional Uyghur style dining area. The service is also great, the employees were so nice I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the D.C Area or visiting

The food was extremely delicious it reminded me of Uyghur food back in XinJiang. This restaurant is very authentic!!! I will definitely come again. The service is also good and friendly!!!

I've been looking for a restaurant like this in the US for a long time! Incredibly delicious, although a bit expensive. I'll definitely come here more often.

Samsa, naan, manta, goyro laghman, quorma and chop fried soman

Finally made it to Eerkin's and loved the meal. Great food, good prices. This review is for takeout only so I can't speak to the dine-in service. We did have a mishap which was annoying/unfortunate (they forgot a dish, and when we called I spent 10 minutes speaking with two staff members to finally conclude that they couldn't refund for the missing dishes). The order was also not ready on time but I won't remove stars for these. The food was great. Loved the samsas, flaky delicious and addicting. The manta were nice as well, I'm sure better fresh too. Naan was good and so was the quorma - not a standout dish in terms of flavor but still very nice. Favorite dishes were of course the hand pulled noodles, goyro laghman was great and the chopped soman was the standout with a bit of heat and lots of flavor. We were missing the gam bian soman, so will need to try that on a future trip.

Gam Bian Soman ( Stir fried noodles)

About a month ago my wife and I loaded up on their UberEats BOGO deals that included Ugrah Noodle Soup, Hummus, Gam Bian Soman (one chicken and one lamb), Home Made Laghman (one lamb and one beef), and Boneless Chicken Quorma, We had enough for the entire week and loved every bite of it. It is too bad they closed the Rockville location before we could try it but would love to visit the Glover Park location some time in person and try more of their food and some tea.

First time eating Uyghur food and it was delicious! Lovely restaurant upstairs with a fun decor and comfortable seating place. I will say that the service was spotty, but I'm not a huge stickler for perfect service so it wasn't a huge deal. The food was incredible! We got the beef dumplings, which were rich and flavorful, and the home made noodles, that were specify and delicious. Definitely can tell they use fresh ingredients! Food came out relatively slow, but was worth the wait. TLDR: solid food experience here !

Many. Their food is not very spicy. What most places call as 'mild' is their spiciness level

Are the vegetarian laghman noodles and gam bian noodles also vegan? (Do they contain eggs or dairy products?)

Yes they do but they also have rice noodles you can order that are vegan. So to answer your questions vegan friendly !

Brunch review ahead!!!!!…read more Ambiance- perfect for a cute date, time with friends, family members, or coworkers. The ambiance welcomes it all. Hospitality- The hostess was incredibly friendly and seated us upon arrival. Waiter- Eric was an AMAZING waiter. Bubbly personality, very polite and personable. His service was definitely a 10/10 Brunch- My friend and I decided to try their Easter Sunday brunch and my only regret was not visiting here sooner and not selecting an earlier time to dine, LOL! The entire experience was phenomenal! Bottomless mimosas- SO worth the extra $ Standout dishes: Adana meatballs Braised lamb Chicken Golden cauliflower Crispy Falafel Desserts: Baklava Brownie Kadayıf Sadly we did not get to experience all of the brunch menu items because brunch ends at 3pm and our reservations were at the heel of this time. Nonetheless, the standout dishes and desserts were enough for me to come back. I've enjoyed their happy hour, cafe area, and now their brunch. Can't wait to return.

Three stars isn't the actual rating; I'd say more 3.5. Stopped by after visiting the Dupont…read moreCircle's weekly farmer's market to try their Sunday brunch buffet. Was warmly greeted, seated, and given an overview of the menu and brunch package options; decided to opt-out of the bottomless drinks, which had an alcoholic (mimosas and Bloody Marys) and NA (juices, sodas, drip coffee and black tea), as I wanted to try their more speciality coffee and tea. The drinks I ordered were the Turkish coffee, Levantine-style tea and digestive tea. All were quite solid. The Turkish coffee was as robust as espresso, yet not overwhelmingly bitter and slightly sweetened. The Levantine tea was a smooth black tea with natural sweetness and layered with a mint steep and floral notes of hibiscus, and rose petal. The digestive was more herbaceous with fennel and pomegranate zest, in addition to a steep of spearmint. The food was more hit-or-miss. On one hand, the meat and seafood was all very delicious and well-made. The braised lamb shank is their speciality, and well-deserved, as it's moist, savory and tender. The short rib similarly so, and the chicken casserole, lamb biajeen, Adana kebab and steamed lavraki (sea bass) were all similarly flavorful. On the other hand, the sides and mezze options were more mixed; the dolmas and fresh bites cheese with za'atar/nuts were delightful, however, the borek, cheeses, and some of the dips tasted reheated and/or not super fresh, the Brussels sprouts were quite scorched, and the savory salmon waffles were bone dry and flavorless. The French onion soup had the right flavor profile, but not the intensity; it tasted watered-down and even looked it, due to the noticeable oil blebs on the surface. Dessert was similar; the melon and fruits were fresh enough, the yogurt bar was quality, the kadayif nutty with the sweetness balanced, and the layali lubnan was intoxicatingly tasty, but many of the baked goods looked rather packaged and the fondue station was mediocre. The staff, however, were extremely friendly (my special regards to Mia, she's a great conversationalist and a sweetheart!). They answered all my questions, and one of the bartenders even gave me half a lemon to zuzh up my tea with. As I said at the start, more 3.5 stars than 3 stars. The core of their offerings are all quality, so I can't quite dock them a full two stars for the food quality because they had buffets aren't usually renown for said quality. You really can't expect perfection from AYCE, even though I naturally encourage the management to avoid sourcing pre-made items from Sysco if possible. The friendly staff and eloquent Eastern Mediterranean ambiance allows me to still say I enjoyed this experience, and may be back for dinner in the future.

Was able to do a walk-in on a recent Thursday evening…read more I had been many times before, but it had been a while, so it was great to dine at Agora again. Everyone in my group loved the assortment of small plates that we had. We considered getting the lamb chops, but it only comes with 2, and there were three of us, so we opted against it. The dishes we got instead (an assortment of vegetables, meat, and seafood) were all delicious, and we would all be happy to get them again.

The serving size of the dishes I ordered were medium to small. The service was far less satisfactory than food. I tried the following dishes: 1. Complimentary pita: ~40g per piece. Not salty and paired well with the other dishes. Definitely get some! 2. Lahmacun: The lamb+beef mixture was tasty. It came with 4 pieces. 3. Branzino: ~6oz. The fish was grilled to perfection; juciy tender, and the skin was nicely charred. It was served with freh parsley and seasoned grilled tomato (salt+oregano I think). 4. Imam Bayildi: Half of an eggplant topped with sauteed onions and tomatoes. While itself was pretty normal, it went so well with the Ottoman rice. 5. Ottoman Rice: The true highlight of all the dishes I tried! It was basically Basimati rice cooked with dried apricots, raisins, almonds & pine nuts mix, and seasoned with black currant. Overall it was warm, earthy and lightly smoky. The apricot slices added some delightful sweetness and juiciness to the dish. Should pair well with Labneh, chicken and seafood. But to be honest, I can simply eat this stuff along for a whole meal! 6. Tabbouleh: They went against the traditional recipe by substituting the bulgur with quinoa and added some pomegranate arils. I liked the special texture of quinoa. The sweetness of pomegrante arils also enriched the flavors. However, I had to constantly spit the seeds when enjoying the salad. 7. Kofte: Adana style ground beef patties. Just like what I make at home haha! I ordered it as an add-on to my salad at lunchtime. It came with only 2 pieces which weighed no more than 3oz in total... Despite the delicious food, service was disappointing. The first time, the dinner, was Okay. While my food came out slowly, at least my server was aware of it and asked me how I liked the dishes. The second time, the lunch, was horrible. Even before I was seated, my server made me feel that he was reluctant to serve me, and emphasized that I had to order asap. "Luckily", I had already decided what to order. After I got my dishes, no one in the restaurant asked me if the food was Okay. And at the check, my bill was thrown onto my table. In comparison, the two ladies dining next to me came even after I started eating, but were greeted warmly and were given lots of time to decide what to order; not to mention that the staff gave them lots of suggestions, asked about their dining experience, and even chatted with them about sightseeing in DC, etc. Such discrimitory treatment is really unacceptable.
