The head spa was 60 min and included hair treatment, neck massage, body massage while laying down in machine, and light facial (mask). And she's always trying to push you to do other things like a mani pedi when you just want your hair done. First time visiting V's. The haircuts were decent but what really disappointed me was when they cut BOTH my kids necks, they were really rude about it when I pointed it out. I was watching from the waiting area and she kept showing him that it didn't hurt by putting the razor up against her hand saying "see it doesn't hurt".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So I thought my son was over reacting. When I went over to check on him I found that she was actually cutting his skin! When I pointed it out she got very rude and blamed it on my son. My kids get haircuts all the time and no one has ever cut them like this. Lastly- when I called to make the appt, I asked how much it would cost and she said -$24. Thankfully hair grows back but I'm sad that I did not get at all what I asked for. Please listen to your client. If your client says they want minimal length taken off then you should listen to their request since they are paying for a service. I was charged 50 dollars not even including tip for this. Vi or Vivian is the sweetest and most skillful. You can tell she takes pride in her work and is super customer service oriented. She can't be happy until you are happy with the final results. Her prices are fair, given her location in Kaka'ako. The facility is nice, newer, tidy, and always smells fragrantly fresh! For a salon that takes walk-in business and can be busy at times, they do a fairly good job at providing a variety of services. I like the fact that they're a one-stop shop where you can get a mani, pedi, haircut and color all at once. Super convenient for those who live in and around the SALT area. Parking is available in the designated lot/structure and can be validated, especially for quicker services or you can find nearby metered street parking. My hair took 2 visits/sessions to achieve the level of highlights I wanted, being that I'm a natural brunette and I ended up being very pleased with the work Vi did. Their foot spa treatments are quite good and I usually get Gel Finish French pedicure which lasts me quite some time. I like that they don't overdo the cutting of my cuticles and their foot scrubs aren't unbearably ticklish. Character limit on Yelp... basically, DO NOT GET LASHES DONE HERE! CLUE #1: Helen didn't have pictures of her work CLUE #2: The lash application area was actually a small storage unit with a sink CLUE #3: No liability forms were signed CLUE #4: No visible lash certifications (If they had I didn't see it) During service, there were a few associates that would literally squeeze through the bed and the sink, shifting the bed where I am on, where the lash tech has sharp tools near my EYES. Every day for 3 days my lashes would come off in huge clumps with my natural lashes attached, some with its FOLLICLE. I lost a lot of my natural lashes, my lashes hurt and my eyelids are inflammed. Called for a refund, Vivian profusely apologized, offered me cash refund..at the end she also practically tried to bribe me with free products and asked me not to write a review. She also said she wants to discontinue lash service at the salon..I declined the free products. Hate to leave a negative review during a pandemic, but safety first. You can park at Keauhou public parking garage and visit down to earth and other retail stores nearby for up to an hour for free, and more if you get parking validated. I've gotten my hair dyed, and cut twice. Most recently, I wanted a stylish short hair cut from having long hair for over a decade. I brought in a photo for reference and Tweety (my hair stylist) did an AMAZING job. She was so sweet too. Price came out to only about $50, so I tipped well and bought some hair product. This is absolutely the best mani-pedi I've ever experienced here in Honolulu. From the moment I walked in the door, I already began to feel so relaxed. This is not one of those noisy, acetone-smelling nail salons where you're wondering whether or not it is safe to breathe. On the contrary, it's a calm, aromatic atmosphere, where the beauticians greet you with a smile, and focus on their work and you, the customer. The massage chairs are better than any I've ever sat in, working my back from lower lumbar region to my shoulders, while one foot soaks in hot water and the pedicurist cleans, clips and polishes my toenails on the other foot. The staff here is unbelievably talented and knowledgeable in their craft. After this pedicure, I refuse to wear covered shoes. I just want everyone to notice my perfect feet!
