Avoid this place at all costs! I was charged $108 for a family of five, including two adults and my younger siblings (ages 11, 4, and 1). The restaurant doesn't list prices anywhere, so you have no idea how much you'll be paying until it's too late. They charged over $15 for my youngest siblings who barely even touched their plates. The food itself isn't too bad but I enjoyed it, and the variety sucks. Service was just okay and the bathroom didn't even have soap, which is unacceptable. The bathroom looked depressing as hell too. Save your money and find somewhere else to eat.

Food wasn't as good as before, the place is the same. The service was nice with the guy but one the server's female was picking her nose and sat a group down . Without sanitizing her hands. Bummer

    Food

Not worth the price honestly. No water in toilets and the food was cold and hard. The only good thing were the oysters. And the service was bad I needed a refill on my soda and I had to raise my hands like if I were in a classroom for a refill. Honestly do better and drake was here look at this pic.

On our last day of our 3 days west coast tour and when we left the beautiful city of Solvang Ca our tour guide took us to another Buffet place which was the V Star Buffet which was the city of Santa Maria but before that on our 1st day trip we went to the Great China Buffet and now on our last day west coast trip I had the chance to go eat lunch which was my very 1st time being at the V Star Buffet for lunch and what I really liked eating at V Star Buffet was the Sushi Baked Potato Fried Squid Pizza Orange Chicken Chicken on a stick Crab Soup And after eating up all those yummy items and since it was my last day of the West Coast Trip and I wasn't full yet!!! And so I got up and went for some dessert and ate some jello and a small piece of cake!!! After leaving this V Star Buffet which was on Friday July 14 2017 and all I can say is that the V Star Buffet of Santa Maria Ca was a good place to pig out!!!

This place is as bad as it gets. Used to be so good. Food is lousy and the service is pathetic. Will never go back to this Hog Hole.

We were promptly greeted upon entering and directed to our requested booth. We chose their buffet which, at around 12 noon on a Wednesday, is $16.45 per person. There is no senior discount (at least not posted). Buffet is a nice size with a variety of common dishes like orange chicken, kung pao chicken, chow menu, sweet and sour pork, pot stickers, egg rolls, and mushroom chicken. My favorites were the tangerine beef and, orange chicken, and green beans. There was also a dessert section with soft serve and assorted cookies, cakes, and fruit. Staff was welcoming and friendly and bussed our table often. Ambiance is simple and fine. Their buffet is a great value and I'll definitely be back when I have a craving for Chinese food especially if ,I'm really hungry like this time.

The buffet was well stocked and had all of the Chinese staples people love. The orange chicken was so good. They had green beans cooked up in a super flavorful sauce that were also delicious. Food was solid. It seems like the beef items and steak were really good. Pork items were solid but not quite as good. I loved the new York steak. They didn't limit quantity on that steak. I had a 12oz steak to myself. Speciality steak was great as well. Spicy pork bulgohi was pre made and you didn't have to cook it. Never had that before. It's one of my favorite dishes and found it to be solid but not my favorite like it usually is. Service was great and efficient. Servers were friendly. This place definitely fits the need for an all you can eat Korean bbq place. Check it out.

Luckily, my friend is from Santa Maria, and when I asked for recommendations, she suggested BBQland for its affordable prices and great food. It was so good that we ended up going back twice! On our first visit, we ordered the brisket and baby back ribs. The brisket was a little dry and not quite as tender as the brisket I've had in Texas, but the ribs were outstanding--flavorful, slightly smoky, and incredibly satisfying. We enjoyed them so much that we ordered the ribs again on our second visit. The first time we went, the beef ribs were sold out, so we came back specifically to try them. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable, especially compared to some of the more famous BBQ spots in the Santa Maria area, which tend to be much more expensive. As someone who's tried a lot of BBQ in Southern California, I honestly thought BBQland was better than Phil's BBQ and many of the popular BBQ spots in Los Angeles. The flavors were more authentic, the portions were generous, and the prices were much more reasonable. Parking was easy thanks to their large lot, and they also offer online ordering for added convenience. The atmosphere inside is casual and welcoming, and they even say a prayer when you place your order, which adds a unique touch to the experience. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area.
