I've been here multiple times but this time in specific has been my most memorable time. I came with my girlfriend and we had a New York-style steak with steak bites. When I tell you the food was delicious, it was delicious. Service was amazing and for dessert we had a cowboy cookie, and it was truly scrumptious. My Son wanted a steak for his 8th grade Graduation so we landed on this place. Luckily we beat the crowd, waited less than 20 mins to be seated. The atmosphere was good, western and I like the dim lighting. They have a bar that seemed to be rambunctious for a Tuesday but didn't get to that area. It was our first time. Ordered the steak bites with mash potatoes which came with your choice of soup or salad. I picked the beef stew soup which ended being really good. The starters came about family style. Rack of bread and butter, a small pot of beans ( this we didn't know was shared) but that's ok. My friend got the lobster Mac n cheese. Everyone (3) got the prime rib with either fries or salad. We had a party of 16, no reservations, the restaurant was very busy however, the manager opened an area in the restaurant so we didn't have to wait long and we were able to sit together. Service was fast and the food was delicious. The clam chowder was tasty and the steak was tender, seasoned just perfectly. We stopped by Cool Hand Luke's as we came into town and absolutely loved the western vibe -- such a fun and welcoming atmosphere! My daughter had the steak bites, and they were incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. I went with the BBQ tri-tip sandwich, which was a great choice. I really appreciated that the BBQ sauce was served on the side -- kept the sandwich from getting soggy or messy, and the flavor was spot on. My boyfriend ordered the seared ahi tuna, and wow -- it was packed with flavor and definitely a complete, satisfying meal. We also grabbed the Jim Beam bourbon salmon to go -- haven't tried it yet, but it looks absolutely delicious! We placed an order at noon today for a Thanksgiving dinner, which was confirmed. Ten minutes before our scheduled pickup time, the order was suddenly canceled. This left my family and most sadly, my kids, who had specifically requested dinner from here without the meal we were counting on. I understand things happen, but if they were unable to fulfill the order, it would have been considerate and professional to let us know hours before pick-up, not just 10 minutes prior. OMG. The food was amazing!! I had stew for starters and my husband had salad: Both fresh and delicious. We both had steak tips and I can't say enough about great they were !! Had dinner last night with my family. I ordered the steak sandwich. It came with fries. Bread was soggy. But the meat was super flavorful. We had potato skins for appetizer and it was very good. That said, the food was just okay this time. We visited about a year ago and were surprised by how different the atmosphere felt now. The restaurant had a musty smell, like dirty carpet, and the décor above as well as the window curtains were visibly dusty. First impressions matter, and the entrance was noticeably dirty. There was even a Swiffer left out near the front desk, which looked careless. This used to be a great steakhouse. It's all good, I've been to cool hand Luke's a few times and it's always been good? Our waitress was amazing and literally remembered everything. She deserves an award. Truly. Drinks were good. Apps were mid. We ordered their Sundance Shrimp and it was very disappointing. Looked nothing like the picture and was soggy. Fried shrimp dipped in sauce should ideally come out warm and somewhat crisp. This dish came out room temp and soggy. Huge disappointment. I decided to order something off their specialty menu and omg it was a huge mistake. Laugh at me for ordering a country fried steak but if they're claiming it's a fan favorite it better be good. But it was soggy and somewhat cold again. I was really sad :( It was warm/room temp which made me feel like maybe it was pre made but idk.. whatever. Bottom line is that I could've gotten better from Pappys. My boyfriend had ribs, brother had steak bites, and my cousin had a steak salad. Those were pretty good but again also not hot. I took my family there last evening. We got there at 6 o'clock. They got us right in within 2020 minutes. I thought it was better than a fast food restaurant, but I would rate this like a fast food restaurant because the ribeye was look like a flank steak my son ordered the pork chops. He was happy with meat, but they gave him an applesauce that looked like it had been mixed with salsa and the salad dressing appeared to be watered down so next time I'll go to a real steakhouse for dinner. read more

First time here with my two sisters. Friday night 7pm. Seated immediately and brought water and additional drink order taken. Menus left on table. Our waitress arrived shortly and introduced herself. We let her know we would need a few minutes to look at the menu. No problem. She came back in an appropriate amount of time. We ordered an onion blossom to start. Yummy horseradish sauce it comes with! I ordered ribs with a baked potato and it came loaded. Sister #1 ordered Steak bites with a baked potato and Sister #2 ordered shrimp and we shared. Our food arrived hot and ready to eat. Our server asked us if we wanted beans and bread for the table. What??!! of course we do. Bring it on! We were hungry and so started eating and chatting and eating and laughing and oh boy we were having a great time. Our server kept checking in on us to see if we need more drinks. She was great! We weren't going to order dessert but we weren't ready to call it an evening so we ordered a seasonal dessert, warm berry cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream. It was delicious. Oh and coffee too. Oh the outstanding disappointment We can start with the positive and that is the fact that their fries are good, and they have ranch so that's a plus. Both of our entrees were below par - the salad wasn't too bad except the pieces of lettuce that should have been discarded when they were prepping but I can see they are tying to save money where they can The staff is maybe under staffed ? We waited - party of 2 for about 25 minutes and the whole restaurant had open tables when we walked in. Very misleading. I understand sections being closed but this was weird to me. Went in today January 1st 2026, there was no hostess to greet anyone we stood there fir a good 10 minutes. I walked in dining area to see if someone was there, but only saw 1 server and 4 tables with people seated, 1 table was a larger party. I went to bar ask the guy if anyone was out front to help us. We don't leave stuff and didn't give her a number which by the look on her face she didn't like that we gave no number. She then tells us it will be about 20 to 25 minutes for a table to be ready.....there were only 4 tables with people at them the place was empty. Unless they were only using just those 4 tables.. So I went to the bar and asked if it would be quicker at the bar, he said "Well maybe" you can sit at the pub tables and I'll be with you as soon as I can. I said can we sit and eat at the bar. The manager who is named George personally took our order at the bar and then personally served us outside the outdoor patio. Our appetizer was brought to the table cold. What was brought to our table looked nothing like picture in the menu. That is okay but the tempura shrimp was not served right away and unfortunately the dish was not even lukewarm. The chicken fried steak is not good. Bad batter and mushy texture. No flavor in steak. Don't worry though, the garlic mash has so much garlic flavor you will have lingering flavor to help eat the steak. Our server was nice. We did not complain to her about our food.
