Shocking how poorly this theater is run. I offer a warning to anyone planning to attend a show here. Do not pick up tickets at the will call. If you must plan on at least 2 hours to stand in line. We were at a show on December 26 and arrived almost an hour before to pick up tickets. The line was like an airline security line and over 2 hours long. The problem is that all shows use the same box office line. They do not have a will call line that is For the current show, so you end up waiting in the same line as people looking to buy or pick up will call for the other five shows at the theater. People were so pissed because they could tell an hour before the show began that they were going to miss it based on the long line. People started skipping in line and yelling for the manager but no one wanted to help. it was absolute anarchy. I would never want to be around such a stressful scene on my vacation again. We ended up missing our show after waiting in line because they finally opened a separate will call line for our show 5 minutes after it started. Everyone waiting behind us jumped in that line so we ended up at the back of a second line. Fun stuff. I suggest you find another venue for a show if at all possible or buy tickets somewhere that you don't have to wait in the will call line. read more

Almost wanted to skip the theater all together, how much of a horrible experience your management gave us. Reyna was so unaccommodating. We paid for VIP at our hotel for the Comedy Show & were under the impression that we just show up & collect our ticket. We came 45 minutes ahead & were finally made it through the line to the box office staff maybe 20-25 minutes before show time. VIP only had 2 open seats that were not together & we had a party of 4. The manager, Reyna just shook us off & basically told us there's no space & we have to leave. Thankfully the other man working the register got us set up for the Zombie Burlesque show. Good variety of shows to watch. Most seats are in good position to see stage. Nice and clean. (unlike the Windows theater at Ballys...yuk!) My only hitch was that it was difficult to find. Great show, horribly run theater. We bought tickets in advance, thinking we would save time. Not so. We waited in one line for 25 min to get our tickets and then they told us to get in line a minimum of 45 min before the show started to get in. I thought this was odd since we already had our tickets. It was because they make everyone line up in one line so they can take your picture in front of a green screen so they can try to sell you some campy photo on the way out. This added an HOUR to our wait. After that line you get in the actual line to get in the theater... And wait there for 40 minutes. Just a horribly run theater with inept staff. They started late, corralled you in like cattle and told you where to sit in a "first come first served" ticketing scheme, we were all sent to the back of the the room even though we were at the front of the line. They were still trying to find seats for people after the show started and it was very distracting. They seated people in the isles in stack chairs and folding chairs. The "Ultimate Variety Show" was great and well worth the ticket price! The V Theater was a frustrating experience that nearly ruined a great show. Several people including us almost left because of the wait. Management of the V Theater: DON'T BE GREEDY! People don't need to spend an additional 45 minutes in line just so you could take their picture and try to sell it them later. Have some respect for your patrons' time and for the theater experience itself. Shame on you. read more

My friends and I went to see the Las Vegas Live Comedy Show at the V Theater and it was a good experience. My boyfriend and I each had tickets in both of our names for a total of six tickets. Fortunately there was no line when we got to the box office so we met with a ticket agent right away. The ticket agent was very nice, made small talk, and definitely made us feel welcomed. I guess part of his job is to upsell, so we had to answer question on monitors that were in front of us, such as do you want to upgrade to VIP, we said no. Do you want souvenir cups, we said no. And there was one other question which I cannot remember but whatever it was, we said no to it. The theater itself is quite small which is actually a good thing when it comes to comedy shows. It felt quite intimate. There were definitely plenty of empty seats in the back, and the ushers did a pretty good job of seating everybody to the front of the theater. I've been to shows in the past where there were empty seats in the front rows which really makes no sense to me... just move people to the front. There is a bar outside the theater to the left, down the hall with plenty of seats. So don't buy your drinks in the restaurants downstairs where it will probably cost you more. We paid $36.00 for a total of 6 shots and 2 beers... not bad. read more

This review is for the venue (the V Theater), not the show we saw there. This theater has some good points and some not-so-good points. Hence the 3-star average rating. First the positives: -the theater is really clean -it's well-lit pre-show, so it's easy to navigate the stairs and rows and find a decent seat -the seats themselves are comfortable -acoustics are fine. We could hear our show clearly -the rows are tiered well enough so that no one in front of you will obstruct your view As another reviewer astutely noted above, this theater really does feel like an off-Broadway venue in New York (for those of you out there who know the NYC theater scene well). Now for the cons: -the set-up at the Will Call ticket counter and after, to wait in line for the show itself, is severely lacking. Why such a protracted process? Surely it can be streamlined. First you wait in a line an hour or so before the show at Will Call to get your tickets. There are 2 primary categories: VIP ticket holders and General Admission ticket holders. If you're in the latter group, you need to arrive early to get in line (which gets quite long), as it's first-come-first-served for seats inside the theater. (Hubby and I got there an hour and some prior to show-time). If you're a VIP ticket holder, you can arrive later, just before show-time, and you'll be ushered into an adjacent bar's lounge to wait. You can order drinks if you like. The biggest bonus, as I see it, is the fact that you can sit down in chairs as you wait (and you'll get priority seating inside the theater, in the front and center sections). For those of us waiting in line, it got pretty old, fast. Many of us "older" folks had a hard time standing, not moving, not sitting, for over an hour. And the few kids present also had a hard time. Granted, we bonded fairly quickly, complaining about our bum backs and knees. But it wasn't pleasant. -many of us weren't keen on the obligatory picture taking of us after we picked up our tickets, before joining the line. Seems an unnecessary thing nowadays, now that we all have cameras on our phones and take photos of ourselves and sites, like. ALL the time. Many of us don't appreciate feeling obligated to do something - even if it's just having our photos taken, - especially when we're on vacation, or when we feel we don't look our best, or when we feel pressured to purchase something. -my tip for General Admission ticket holders is to get a seat as close to the middle of the theater stage as possible. If you get a seat at the far sides, your view of the stage (especially the far right and left of the stage) will be obstructed by columns and by the sheer angle of your seat relative to the stage. read more

I have been trying to reach someone in regards to a refund since everything was shut down in Vegas. They are not answering their phone and they have not responded to multiple emails. Not even one response. It appears to me that they are just ignoring all there customers and do not plan on refunding anyone. I was a fan of this Theater and they were always responsive when it came to booking and the shows were a good price and great entertainment but I will not be a customer after this for sure! V Theater is intimate and cozy. There is not a bad seat in the house. I saw Hitzville there and it was non stop fun. HItzville takes you on a journey through Motown with your glamorous hostess, Jin Jin. She's got quite the voice and she makes the show so much fun! Her Tina Turner will make you stand up and sing along! If you like the songs of Marvin Gaye, The Temptations and Four Tops, you will love this show. It's a hand clapping- out of your seat, toes tapping good time. You will not want to miss a moment.. The costumes are beautiful for the ladies, and the gentlemen wear the suits from that era and it makes you feel like you are able to be in that time period, without all the time traveling jet lag. This show is perfect for all ages no matter what generation you grew up in. I took my parents and they had a great time. I saw little kids having fun too. This is good family entertainment. The show is very interactive, and if you are having a really good time, you might get pulled up on stage for a little serenade. I have seen HItzville twice and I love it! V Theater at Planet Hollywood also provides refreshments. At the end of the show, you get a chance to meet and greet the casts of the show. You will also get to purchase photos with the cast and merchandise as well. HItzville is definitely a big HIT! read more

So what a sham I went to this Show last nlght. At the box office I was told that the budget seats where sold out and would have to upgrade my tickets with a substanchial extra cost to me if I wanted to see the show. So I did. When I got in the theater the seating I requested originally had not a soul sitting in them. I felt lied to. I approached the manager and questioned what was going on after I had the bar tender dump a drink all over me by accident with no apology.rude .so I had to go dry off. As I talked to the manager and asked him to look for himself at all the available sections that they told me was sold out he refused to look or explain . He said tickets not refundable and shut us out of the main entrance. I have front row tickets I purchased for tonight and probably won't use because the theater is no way nice to the public. Just saw Hitsville today. What an amazing show! Top rate musicians, singers, an incredible stage and lighting, and the sound was perfect. Not a bad seat in the house. This is truly an amazing show, and at full price it's very reasonable, but my bf and I found a Groupon and so we saved a ton of money. Now for the bad... You get your tickets and you're told doors open at 5 for the 5:30 show. So we got there at 4:30 and got in line. Mind you, everyone has been out in the heat, walking all day, tired, and not expecting to wait longer than 30 mins on their feet. These people didn't open their doors until 5:25, 5 mins before show time! Needless to say, our feet were killing us and we were very annoyed when the show started. Came her for Zombie Burlesque and had such a great time! We sat in the third row and if you can buy tickets up front, I would def recommend it. Our tickets came w drinks and we were able to enjoy those before the show in their bar area. They also pose for pics after the show at no cost. The show was funny and everyone is so talented! There is singing, dancing, music w a live band and lots of audience interaction w crude jokes. There was one 11 year old in the crowd for anyone wondering if they allow in children, however, there is also a lot of jokes about male genitalia and the ladies do remove their clothing. WOW! Hands down a show to be had! We went out of our way to come check this show out because we had heard great things about the Variety Show. The performers, comedians, and magicians where all of great Las Vegas Style Quality! A lot of bang for your buck at these shows! talk about stretching a bill. Fairly small but it does the job because these shows don't seem like they're really wanting a ton of people in them. Small, quaint lobby and entrance and exit. Efficient box office too. I'd def reccommend seeing the Marc Savard hypnotist show too by the way! A lot of fun. read more

This theater is rundown and smells awful. The seats are crammed together. They have added additional rows of seats by the stage by setting up conference room chairs. I feel sorry for the poor people who spent money to sit in those chairs. To get in to see the show: You stand in line to show your ticket then are pushed into getting a photo whether you want one or not. Then you either stand in line (general admission) or are directed to a bar (VIP is defined as soak you for more money) whether you want a drink or not. After waiting in the bar you get back in line to go inside and have your ticket checked again. At this point I understand why they don't give refunds. This place sucks. read more

Negative stars should be allowed. This was worst ran event I have ever attended. Elementary school plays are ran better than this. So we get our tix for the 8:30 pm Variety Show. We are told to be back around 8 pm. We come back just before 8pm and get in line. The line starts growing. We are just outside the doors but close enough to see the start of the line. At about 8:40 pm, a staff member yells, "we will get you seated shortly...the show won't start until you are seated." That was the only announcement made for the next HOUR and 20 MINUTES!!!! Many ppl went to the counter to ask for a refund or different tix. My husband went up there and we were told No Refunds. They didnt At 9:05 pm, they started to let us in the theater. Several ppl around us ask staff memeber taking tix if we are going to get a full show because it is suppose to be 75 minutes. But there is a 10 pm show behind this one. We hear them say yes. We sit down on our seats and nothing happens. Ppl start screaming "start the show" and other things. We finally get up and go to the counter. It is mayhem!!! Everyone starts flooding out after that...they finally yell out there are two options. Rainchecks or new tix. But you have to see a manager for new tix. There are only 2 managers. Had they made announcement earlier and offer this earlier ppl would not have been as angry or mad. There was no customer service and appreciation of ppl's time. Apparently, this was over a sound issue. If a reboot didnt bring it back up why make ppl wait if you aren't equipped to fix the situation. Most of us are on vacation and this is Vegas there is plently of other things to do!!!!! read more

This is al alright place to see a show. It as a few different small theatres. They rotate shows in and out with ease. Each theatre is small - which makes it so there's not really a bad seat in the place. However, they will corral and hold you in the bar area until your theatre is ready to be entered. So if you arrive 15 mins before show time, prepare to spend those 15 mins in the bar area and not in the theatre. Staff are not exactly the nicest and friendliest. Drinks are crazily overpriced and not good. Beer offerings are meh. Pro tip: Get your drink on before you come here. No outside drinks or food allowed in, of course. It's easily accessible as it's in the middle of the Miracle Mile shops. The line to get or pick-up tix moves quickly. Staff will try to up-sell you on VIP seats and drinks. Pro tip: Pass on both and everything. read more

Smelly theater. Fabric of chairs and floor reeks of old spilled beer that no one has cleaned for ages. The Live Comedy Club show (12/25/18 @ 9 pm) was pathetic and sheer waste of $40+ and time . The comedians had very little original material. All they did was pick on various audiance members and made fun of thier race, culture, religion and age. Watching audience member getting ridiculed like this is not comfortable, neither does it qualify as "comedy" that you pay for. This is the kind of talk we can all get for free with bunch of friends sitting around and trash talking over beer. We don't need to "pay" a lame comedian to watch him do this. Overall, it was a lame excuse for comedy show. Ticket box office staff was rude and slow. No concept of "will call". They were taking general future sales customers and immediate show's "will call" customers through one line, causing massive delay for 'will call' customers. The staff had no concern that they were causing customers to miss part of the show. One guy behind the counter "Ureal" was laughing and having a good time on the phone for five minutes while several customers were standing in line, getting delayed for thier show that they had already paid good money for. The ticket counter staff at the V-theater needs to learn the basics of customer service. read more

The server asked us if wanted any drinks because she was the only one serving a show for approx 150 people. When we said water she said no and walked away. Turns out she's not the only waiter. They just want your money. I asked to speak to manager about getting Ice water. She told me she is informed not to serve water. Only bottle. I pointed out that at the bar plenty people are given ice water. She told me I needed to calm down and not yell. I have plenty whitenesses standing by like clearly he's not yelling. She then continues saying she doesn't know where a manager is and that she could lie to inform me in any random direction. I have some good laughs with the main act, but I'm subtracting two stars because of the below: I wrote the following to the box office's email address on Nov 14 and as of today, 12/1, I have not received a reply: Dear Manager, A guest of mine and I missed the first part of the show because the usher seated us incorrectly and I had to go out and get the usher and then when we got back to the theater he argued with me about which seat was which at which point I had to bring him back outside to the booth to show him the map and then when we go back in, he was not efficient in moving the people out of our seats. I definitely missed the first act but the bigger issue is how humiliating it was to be taunted by the other patrons while I was trying to fix your employee's mistake...what a buzz kill for everyone, especially those in my party. We had a minor mix up on what was included when we bought everything through them but when you have $500 worth of shows and food on 1 credit card I guess there is a bit of leverage ;) The manager on site (I believe her name is Sophie) was extremely professional and helpful. Super funny comedy club. Okay bartender, the Ultimate V is really good don't get the peach drink nasty! The waitress was super nice love her. All the comedians were really funny! 2 white guys, one looked stoned and one black dude. I guess the black guy was a professional comedian dude, omg! he was soooooo funny! 3.5 stars It's a small theater but comfortable enough. I actually like when shows are held in an intimate setting like this because it makes most any seat a good seat. The box office is a bit shady. They'll offer you 50% off tickets for subsequent shows in advance, but there's always cheap or free ways to get these shows anyway. Many of them seem to appear on Groupon often. When we did a timeshare, we got free show tickets to a number of the Planet Hollywood shows (with a $5 convenience charge per ticket, but that's still less than you'd pay at the box office). Also, the shows often appear on Fill a Seat (a paid membership for free tickets to shows - usually the membership pays for itself after you've attended 2 or so shows). I also dislike that they force you into a lounge before the show starts. You're not required to buy any drinks but, if you're like most people waiting for the show, they're there so you're going to indulge in overpriced libations in a cheap looking bar. Make sure you get a good buy somehow but don't spend too much hard-earned cash on a show here. read more

Your lines are ridiculous and your workers are unresponsive and so, so slow. We wasted literally almost all of the Ultimate Variety Show because of how slow your workers are. When you've lived in Vegas over six months, you're buffet'd-out, casino'd-out, and show'd- out. All you want to do is go to work and go home. The only times you go to the strip or downtown are if you have friends or family in town; and you wouldn't believe how many friends and relations you have until they find they have a free place to stay in Vegas. That being said, the V Theater is a nice small-venue theater in Planet Hollywierd. We've seen Evil Dead - The Musical, as well as the Popov Animal Circus there. They have quite a few nice shows there, and most of them can be seen free if you've subscribed to houseseats.com. So, if you've nothing to do in an evening and want to kill some time with a good show, this is a good place to do it. read more
