The longer I have been an owner, the more I understand all of the perks of being one. What I like to do is book a few rooms, that way more of my friends can come & enjoy the vacation too. We have done Maui a few times, Vegas, Ocean Shores & a few others. It makes the trip that much more memorable when more people get to come along & make those memories too. The other thing I have done, is used it a gift for lifes milestones. Weddings, anniversaries & birthdays. It is so hard now a days to come up with a gift, when sending them away on an extended weekend is soooo much easier. I would love a mini vaca over a coffee maker anyday hahahaha We have all had a great time & the resort staff make it easy to do what you set out to do. & who doesnt know the town more than the locals. The VI Ambassador in Vegas, she was amazing! She had us dialed in & didnt disappoint on her recommendations. So they have been a great resource as well. I really love dealing with most of the Staff at the Tukwila branch too. I know I am not the easiest customer to deal with, but some have persevered & some have not. & for the ones who have, they make you feel like that Norm moment in that Cheers sitcom when you walk through the door. It maybe corny, but I like it. I have a job now where I can take more vacations than before. & by using the resorts at VI, there is no reason not to take them. I can't say enough about VI and how great they are! We own a couple timeshares and VI by far out classes, the others. We've been to more locations than we can count. Our favorite resort is Torres Mazatlan all the rooms are great, but if you get a chance to do the penthouse, holy moly, it's stunning. Every single room in the whole place faces the ocean, so there's not a bad view anywhere you go. I would absolutely recommend VI to anybody looking to travel. read more

Won a free trip from the fair and was told to attend the presentation to receive the package gift. I scheduled and went to the presentation. They do not allow cell phones to be used. Anyways... upon arriving the room is very welcoming with vacation decorations and photos. It was very nice and exciting. I was being assisted by a very nice lady. She basically did interview asking personal questions which took about 20 ish minutes. Then a man did the presentation. He talked to fast and gave out so much information at once, my brain was exhausted trying to keep up. They try and sell you the "once in a lifetime" kind of deal that you can only purchase that day. And they will not give you any options. They refuse any answers you give and give you extreme high pressure to purchase their deal. To me, I'm not at an age where I want to invest in thousands of dollars for travel and vacation. I have other priorities and I told them that. I even said down the road I would most likely consider this offer. They disregarded me and pressured me STILL but with even more aggravation. Any answer was not a good answer. We were held there for a few hours. It was not a pleasant experience, I would avoid this place and I would not come back due to the experience I received that day. Folks, let me save you your money. If you don't feel like reading this review in its entirety, at least take one thing out of it... Do. NOT. Sign. With. VI. The sales people at VI in Tukwila are desperate to sign you up to anything. We spent 4 hours there on a Saturday (I know what a waste). Basically we went in to claim our "prize" - ticket and stay at a hotel 2 nights in Vegas. Sounds attractive right? Sure, why not go on a free vacation! Part of the deal to claim the prize is to sit through their "90 minute presentation" where they obviously try to sell you VI and bla bla bla. Here's what I didn't appreciate: - The Fakeness: the whole tactic of we're going to slowly introduce you to our team that's like a little family - yeah right . It was fake. Disingenuous. While one sales representative is so-called getting to know you (this is the warm up part which also felt a bit invasive- too many personal questions), the rest of the representatives are just there in the background just staring at you. I wasn't comfortable but went with it. I gave short responses. - The Pressure. The pressure. It's the way they speak, put you on the spot and so on. How they call on each other to come for a minute and introduce themselves and talk at you. - The Freakin' Music. This was a pain. It was waaay too loud and the sales dude was talking in a low voice. Again, I believe part of their tactic to distract you from listening to the numbers breakdown and all, and to create a "hype". The offer simply wasn't attractive. It felt like a scam. The majority of the properties VI owns are old and outdated. Don't be fooled by the one pic they have (think it was in Puerto Vallarta). Based on my google search afterwards, it also seems like so many people struggle to find any bookings in their preferred places. Maybe do a bit more research into other timeshare options in other places if this is an area of interest....but again...stay away from VI. Thanks for making it this far! read more

Went for a timeshare presentation. We've done a handful, and this was by far the worst. The first salesman we spoke to was polite and respectful. The second one that was brought in was incredibly rude and belittling. Although we weren't interested in purchasing at this time, the way that that man spoke to us alone would lead us to never go back. There are reviews that say people were left in tears and I don't doubt that. Save yourself the time, and even if you're interested in a timeshare, go someplace else. To the man who feels the need to speak to people this way, I truly hope things get better for you. I can't imagine life is happy considering the way you're currently behaving. read more

I can't write enough about how happy I am with VI ! We did puerto vallarta and mazatlan resorts and I just love everything. So convenient with 2 small kids . The giant kitchens have more that you need , the activities are so fun , the staff is so friendly and helpful. It's so worth it! Torres mazatlan is a bit bigger resort and if you can get 1 st floor , you can just roll out to the pool :) and the restaurant is delicious too. read more

"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" -- someone wise. This place is a scammy wammy, stay away! They are not accredited by the BBB (better business bureau) and have had multiple complaints filed against them. Good thing I googled them before giving them any more of my time. They called saying 'you've won a free vacation because you entered in our sweepstakes at the ____fair!" and when asked what company they affiliated with, they started mumbling saying we should come by to accept our free vouchers. OK sure. We stop by at 8PM. Red flags from the moment we arrived: 1) They are located in some random complex with ratty furniture even tho they said the location was new? 2) The stench of Scam was heavy in the air (pumpkin spice candle to hide the stale cigarettes) and loud, mind-rattling "feel good" music. Also the photos on the wall were weird black and white stock photos. Not of real people enjoying their free vacations or holding up vouchers with smiling faces. Thems was stock ass photos. And the magazines on the tables were books taken from old libraries or were second-hand from SOMwhere. They still have the serial number stamped on them and the covers are old and ratty. The pages inside were yellow like no one had ever opened it for a long time. Why would an AwESomE vacation company not have the latest edition travel mags? Pamphlets detailing their resorts? They're intentionally keeping you blind at the front before you go in. 3) I put my occupation down on the info form vaguely as "teacher" and the lady checking my ID kept pressing me for an answer. "what kind of teacher? Where at"? NUNYA. as in nunya business. Why do she need to know so many private details if im receiving a so-called "free" vacation? So they can make me payyy for it!!!! Ehhh? Good, right? (They need to make sure I have money for them to take ;) It gets better. There were other couples in the waiting area too, and I realized they make EVERYONE who entered the sweepstakes think they won a vacation ...and then they lock you in the sales room to hassle you until you buy something. Why would they have a NO CELLPHONE sign in the age of cell phones? So you can't keep track of time or you can't call the cops on them mid-harassment. I walked out of there real fast and made sure to take my info sheet along with me before they entered my details into the computer, which could mean they would continue calling me in the future for more "free" vacations I might win. read more

We had family vacation with guest friends invited too. We stayed in P.V. and was one of our first places we took our children growing up. We had been here many times and yes you feel welcome when you come back. The other resort in Mexico is nice too and big if you need more space. We have been VI owners since back in the day when you would have to call in and they wrote your names down. Lots has changed and planning in advance is the way to do it. If you are a last minute family which is all good and all might not be for you. We always plan a year in advance. We have celebrated birthdays and weddings in Hawaii. From one room studio for us two to Penthouse with extra rooms for guest and family makes the stay so much fun. We always book an extra day so the day of departure we have all day to enjoy and not rush out. read more

They tried to scam my wife and I years ago and just tried again today over the phone. 90% of the time, if you are at a trade show and there is a vacation giveaway, it is from this company. It is really about time shares and intensely high pressure sales. There are better more economical ways to take a vacation. Don't limit yourself with a timeshare and pour a bunch of money down the drain. The lady that called me today clearly didn't like that I asked her which company she was calling from because she quickly hung up on me. Very classy. P.S. The lady tried to lure me with a Vegas trip today listing off a few hotels she said would have a nice room. Run!!! also the free vacation is BS!!!! we won a trip to cali we are in Oregon for one after taxes and fees it ended up being 500$ then when we Finally get to plan the trip the lady tells us we will have 2 lay overs both ways there will be a very late 10 hr flight one day at Disney and fly out at 6am the next day for another 10 hr flight we said no thank you!!! read more

Stayed at a VI Timeshare in Kona in December of 2016.It was very clean and serene just like the amazing vibe that The Big Island of Hawai'i' vibes as! I purchased a beautiful necklace and sunrise shell pendant at the Green Flash on that trip! I did meet wonderful Mistie the artist of the most beautiful piece!It was bc of Mistie and her fellow wonderful office colleagues who inspired me to look into it bc of how they run the gorgeous and very hospitable Kona property! Then recently fast forward 6 months ago) I was so impressed by VI and really wanted to be able to afford a timeshare and I got ahold of Corporate and linked up with a wonderful sales-woman Trisha and she put together a lovely package with a financing option for this now physically disabled woman who wants to really share the joy of the Hawaii experience!Thanks VI Kona and corporate!I really wish to be able to partake in a future timeshare to share with friends and family! These guys were outside of the Cinemark tonight with a big wheel that you could spin to win a Vegas vacation. I asked if I needed to pay for or sign up for anything first and the guy manning the wheel said no, so I gave it a whirl. I was already suspicious (there's no such thing as free lunch), but after I "won" he pulled out a binder and launched into a spiel about my partner and I putting $20 down to claim the tickets down at their office in Tukwila. He also mentioned his company's vacation packages and I immediately recognized it as one of those timeshare presentation scams. Folks if it seems too good to be true, it's probably fake. I was disappointed to see all the negative reviews of Vacation International timeshare on Yelp in Honolulu. I have been a VI owner for over 10 years and my parents bought it about 40 years earlier. Vacation International owns condos in the Royal Kuhio and Aloha Towers. The office VI office for Honolulu is located in the Royal Kuhio. I'm staying in a two bedroom unit at the Aloha Towers. I feel the positives out weigh the negatives. It takes a 6 min. drive or a 15 min. walk to Waikiki beach and a shorter distance to the shops in downtown Honolulu . Our two bedroom condo is very spacious my estimate is over 1300 square feet. The main bedroom is spacious and the second bedroom is about 12' x 14'. The living room has a very nice couch that also coverts to a bed if you want to sleep 6. If you want a balcony it has a table that seats four. It has a full size kitchen and is well stocked with kitchen supplies to cook and serve 6 people. Free parking is provided. It does have a small washer and dryer. A friend of mine had a room at the Hilton. It was very nice but very small and cost over $500 a night and all they had was a small fridge. The cost in points for me on VI was about $160 and I saved more than that by having a kitchen. Ok now for some negatives. Yes you do have to plan a year ahead if you want to choose a place to stay. The two elevators in the Aloha Towers are small. The building was probably build in the 1970's so it is not new. The main bathroom is small especially the shower. The caulking around the bathtub in the master bathroom needs improvement. A small item like a newer soap dish would be helpful, but I have a feeling it will probably be a new one shortly after we report that it needs to be replaced. read more

If you want to waste your time then this is the place. We were told we could choose both hotel and airline for the promised "gift" trip for sitting through the 90 minute pitch. Fortunately, we asked to confirm this immediately after sitting down. This was absolutely not the case. Yes, you may get to choose a hotel but not the airline. They said it will be the cheapest flight available and almost certainly Spirit or Frontier. That's a hard pass. Also when inquiring about caliber of hotel, please know they are clear that it will not be the Bellagio but you can expect Circus Circus or the like. Yes, we all have different ideas of how to take a vacation but this is not the way for us. They were very quick to show us the door when we told them that was not what was promised and we weren't going to continue the pitch. read more

Just got back from Mazatlan Torres resort, and as always VI Resorts has made our vacation AMAZING. The condo was so perfect with stunning views of the clear blue water, and the fish tacos on the beach were better than any fish tacos we have ever had in in Mexico. We paid literally $25 for the entire 7 nights, and my wife wanted to stay another week lol. If I didn't need to get back to work I would have loved to stay longer. I was called because I entered on Facebook for a trip to Leavenworth, they asked me to come to a preview of their company in Tukwila, they said about it would last about 90 minutes. I was hesitant at first because I couldn't remember filling it out, I went on Facebook and found the NW getaway page where I DID enter. So, I decided to go to the presentation to get my "Gift". To be honest, the presentation wasn't bad at all. It only took the 90 minutes, and I really did get my trip. The salesman was very respectful and offered to show us vacation options for my Christmas vacation every year. I did not feel pressured to buy or join anything with their company to receive the trip, and I look forward to booking with them in the future! They seem to hide the Tukwila location from Yelp, so I will post here..and this is why...We came in knowing the free trip we "won" came with strings attached, listening to their resort/time share spiel. What we didn't expect at the end when we decided it wasn't for us and we didn't have the money for the monthly fee or time due to taking care of a parent with Parkinson's we were berated and asked if we lied about our income. Said WE came to THEM and now we didn't want to join, didn't have the "time" He said " you had time to come here" The man was so upset his hands were shaking. I immediately told them I didn't come in to be berated and accused. Finally someone in the office came over and said, let's just get their voucher. I was almost in tears when we left. Never would I send anyone to this company to be treated this way. Look them up in goggle and check the reviews. read more

We purchased some certificates to stay at one of the resorts to support a local charity. The booking process was a nightmare! I had to call 3 separate times and wait on the phone for over an hour and a half just to find out that I could only book my trip during a less ideal season. They booked me and locked me into a time frame that I was not happy with. Multiple agents were very unfriendly and unhelpful. I wanted to move my trip to 2 weeks later (mind you this trip is booked 10 months in advance) and they told me there is no way to change it. I offered to pay a fee, and they said its impossible. This is so infuriating!! I'm normally not one to write reviews, but I'm so bitterly displeased with the service that I hope to spare someone from making the same mistake I did. I just came home from point brown resort In ocean shores wa and I honestly can say wow! I want to point something out here...the pic's you see on the vi website don't do the rooms justice. The unit we stayed in was beautiful BEAUTIFUL! Im actually going back next month to stay longer. I'm currently frustrated as an owner because while we have enjoyed our timeshare usage through VI, it seems like increasingly the sales people who work for VI are not in agreement with the owner rules side of VI. They will say that you can extend points and/or do other things but the owner services side will say no and they win on rules. Make sure when you buy your timeshare points or make them permanent that you double-check with owner services who set the rules. Also, there is very very little availability at many of the resorts so it is hard to get in so if you do buy points and they give you free points, there is a high liklihood that you can't use them due to no availability. We always have to book a year in advance for availability and even then it can be tough. I wish they had more inventory. read more
