It's not the cheapest gas in the Mission, but I refuse to go to the place with the cheapest gas in the Mission, because it's shady and makes me feel uncomfortable. It's not the second-cheapest gas in the Mission, and while I do like that place, going there almost forces you to get on the 101 southbound, and I'm not always going on the 101 southbound after I get gas. It is a cheap gas station in the Mission, and it was located conveniently close to my apartment, and the guy who has been working most of the times I have come is very friendly. In general, I try to avoid getting gas in the City, because it's almost always cheaper elsewhere. But it's nice having a place like Valencia Gas in my back pocket, and it's even nicer that it's closer to the freeways than some other cheapish and safeish and cleanish gas stations. read more

I pulled in...someone ran over to help/ very nice...he stopped me before I could get out of my car and took my card / swiped my card/ asked for my zip code [ not my pin] He filled up my tank [ yes I got my card back]... This was the owner or a relative or someone whos been at the gas station before so I trusted them The whole thing happened so fast What he did was...he didnt ask me what grade of gas I wanted. The oil quality has always been stable, and there have never been any problems with the car. The staff are also very nice, but sometimes the information about promotional activities is not clear enough. It is recommended to strengthen the promotion, and it will be more perfect. read more

15 years of going to this great gas station and finally am writing a Yelp review. 5 STARS to Sam and his crew! 5 STAR customer service definitely. All of the guys who work there are always so pleasant, ask if I need any help, and take their time with each customer. They care. 5 STAR QUALITY OF GAS!! I drive a lot for work (including back and forth to LA) and it is quite obvious the gas is good quality. My Volvo XC 90 & Honda Fit run a lot better when the gas comes from Union 76. 5 STARS for the employees caring about the customers. The gas price is a little higher here, however, they make up for it in their quality of care/knowledge of cars. I try to fill up the gas there each time I drive off to LA and each time the employee looks at my car's oil/windshield fluid, etc. Happy Holidays to you Sam and your employees/family! This is a sincere Thank you to Sam: on Saturday, one of my tires had low air, I did not know which one, and I did not know why (I was wishing there was no nail...). I was struggling with the analog inflator gauge. Sam told me to drive closer to the garage, and with digital air inflator he checked the 4 tires. He found that one rear tire had 29 (instead of 33) and fixed it. Thank you very much! read more

This place gouges for propane. An exchange is $14 at Lowe's. Lowe's was out today so I looked up the info on blue rhino. I called this 76 and they said it was in stock here. Wow, I was having a little difficulty with having the gas station take my credit card(I know most usually only accept debit or cash), and was dealing with it on my own. Today I accidentally left the lights the ignition turned on and my motorcycle's battery ran out of juice. Pushed my bike a few blocks to the nearest gas station which happened to be the 76 on Valencia st. In the mission. When I asked for a jump the guy said he couldn't do it with the large battery they use in the garage because it would explode the smaller battery on bike. I was seriously skeptical about that bit of science but asked if he had a regular car battery he could jump me with. He said he didn't want to risk damage to his truck. I told him I've personally witnessed a car jumping a bike with no issues but he was unwilling to help me out. What is wrong with this guy? This is my closest Zipcar pick-up location (they also have cityshare vehicles). I've developed a tight relationship with them over the years. And when I actually owned a vehicle, they'd fill up my tires for free - now it's my bicycle. They're really sweet and I kind of have a crush on one of them. Hope they don't use Yelp. : / Four stars for not having biodiesel. But then I suppose that would be for EVERY gas station in the city. Past the busy street of Valencia lies one of the few gas stations around the area and also home to many zipcars for rent. Gas prices aren't the cheapest around, but it's around the average price range for most stations. You'll probably only save a quarter or so if you go to another station anyway. Inside the store has some of your regular gas station favorite as well as some colorful pipes for your smoking pleasure. Around the back is the bathroom and ice storage. They go for $2 a bag and working around here, I'm always finding myself grabbing a few bags for the restaurant. read more

Couldn't be more happy that this place is in my neighborhood. I started coming here each morning to get a breakfast bar before work and all the guys who work here have been super nice. When I had to swap out my car tires I hit them up to see if they could do it and literally they had the tire in the next day and serviced it the day after. I was so thrilled that when my car needed the brakes changed I brought it in and they handled it within just a few hours! They even took it to get fully TINTED at a local shop while I was at the office! As long as these guys are around and able to service my car I won't be going anywhere else. The water and air pump at this station are broken. Kept broken w/out a sign to rip you off of your money. you are warned..and no one will refund your money. When I notified the clerk (who might be the owner or son of the owner since he is there 5 plus days a week) he ignored me at first, and then when I refused to go away he told me to wait for his customers..which never ended. Then he yelled at me that he doesn't give refunds to call the number on the machine. That number was disconnected I told him, "really I call it every day". "great, then can you call them now". oh but here goes another customer. so he ignores me thinking I will go away b/c who really needs .75 in this rich town, eh? ME. So I ask him, please can you just give me my refund and please can you put a sign on the machine that it is broken b/c it seems like a lot of people could lose money all day and since you give no refunds.. well, a week later the machine is still broken there is still no note and the number on the machine finally works..but guess what, they don't give refunds either. This gas station clearly is ripping people off. .75 at a time. Imagine just 10 folks a day that's an easy $7.50 for nothing. oh and ladies if you care about sexism, don't buy gas here. it was a lady thing, dontcha know. .. read more

Gas here is a complete and total ripoff. Also, I dropped my car off for an oil change once. Not only did they break one of my central air vents, but without asking, they decided to try and fix a panel in the door. They never called me, and put a screw through the entire plastic panel in a total hack job. I think they had good intentions, but it was total incompetence. I would never have any repair or maintenance work done here. So, the gas is 50% overpriced and they have terrible service. Friendly, but terrible. read more

What a beautiful place! i've been to many places here in frisco, and this is my favorite gas station. They got good service, everytime i pull up there, they give me a great service, clean my window, check my oil and fill my gas. So many times I've biked by this place, noticing nothing more than the cars pulling out. Tonight was different, though: tonight, I made a brief detour to use their ATM. Though initially happy with the convenience of ride-by banking, I later realized the ATM shorted me $20! My annoyed with my (ahem unrequested) receipt softened when the receipt later proved useful during my phone call with my bank. Thanks again to Andrew in Phoenix; I couldn't have filed that dispute claim without you. I want to be clear that an ATM stealing your money is not A-OK; the 3 stars reflect pure neutrality from just another Yelp complainer. I know the ATM glitch had nothing to do with the 76 or its staff, so no hard feelings and I'll cap future withdrawals at $20. Of course gas prices are over the roof, but where aren't they? The service in this place is phenomenal! Each time I come here to fill up, I am NEVER disappointed. Customer service is literally out of this world GREAT! One of the workers, Rod I believe, always offers to fill up MY gas tank! He also never fails to update me with new merchandise & prices & always asks if I'm interested in anything in the store that he could get for me. Another worker, I forget his name, I apologize. Long curly hair and blue eye also NEVER disappoints! Everytime I pull up and he's there, he always comes up and gives my wind shield wipers some cleaning! Gas is crazy overpriced and the head mechanic is a straight up shark. I dropped my bucket off for maintenence and it was a one day thing at first, everyone complimented me on the condition and everyday a new problem came up. Eventually I was asked to do a separate repair to which I declined only to have the head mechanic call my family for permission to which they also denied. In the end he claims he did it anyway and asked me to pay 500 bucks for a fuel filter on a 2002 car... That's ubsurd, I called him on it, and never returned. read more

When my car battery died a couple of years ago, the mechanic from this station drove over to my parking garage and jumped the battery for less than $25. This was after SF Auto Works, which is right across the street from me, told me they couldn't spare their $200/hr technicians to help me out. read more
