Within 10 minutes I had an appointment scheduled for first thing in the morning. He arrived right on time and had the problem diagnosed and repaired within 30 minutes, and my dryer was good as new. It's hard to find a good appliance company you trust. Trust is the key issue in not getting OVER CHARGED in these situations. I'm not sure if I would call this guy over. Charge you $50 JUST TO GO OUT and look at the problem. What he doesn't tell you is that if he starts any work small or big he'll charge $120 MINIMUM. Turned off a safety value in the stove in 15 mins and wrote an invoice for $120. Wow. Not saying he did a bad job, but I would try to look around and maybe put him on your second call....or third...or...never? Update: They called back to apologize and wanted to make things right. I think it takes a lot to try to do your best in the community and to do the best job. read more

I have a samsung washer in which the boot gasket seal got damaged. (It's the rubbery thing in the front of a front load washer) I purchased a replacement and called Brian to install It. He quoted me 150$. The proper way to install It requires removing the housing to ensure all of the hoses seal properly. He took a shortcut and tried to install It all from the front without removing the housing. In doing so i don't think he was able to achieve an adequate seal from the inlet hoses. We ran the washer and it seemed to work. I asked him if he would warranty his work for at least a couple of weeks before paying him. and he said yes of course. So i paid him. Two days later, the washer is leaking from the front. I called him to come and repair whatever was wrong and he said one of the hose clamps must not be tight enough (he must have known during the repair, as they may be difficult to access if you don't remove the housing). He said It would be 80$ for him to come out and try to fix It. I told him that he said he would warranty his repair, and he basically said sorry I still have to charge you to come out there and I am busy until next week anyway. Why would you trust someone who doesn't do a job properly, doesn't really warranty their work, and tries to double charge you for the same repair? I wouldn't again. Bad business. read more

The ice maker in my KitchenAid freezer had been leaking water and decided to attempt to overflow after I got back home from work. I found Valencia's Appliances on Yelp as one of the few businesses open until 7pm. I spoke to Brian and he actually came over after closing shop to diagnose the problem. Of course, the ice maker decided to behave itself when he was there, but Brian stayed and asked questions until we were able to come up with a plan for repair. Long story short, he determined it was a problem with the ice maker and was back the next day with a new one to install. A few hours later and in the days since, he followed up just to see how everything was working. The act of following up just shows that they take care and pride in their work. read more

Came out to our home to fix it... ended up fixing it and buying another washer with higher capacity since ours was smaller for the size for our family.. he fixed it fast and explained what was wrong with our old washer... will update when we start using our newer washer... came with 90 day warranty. read more

In 2011, Brian, the owner came out and repaired my 20 year old Sears washer. He performed a miracle and $600 less than Sears. In 2015 I bought a used front loading washer front loading washer. I live in El Serrano and he came out, installed it and took my old one aways. It is so refreshing to know quality service is still around. I highly recommend him. read more

Brian the owner is a very smart and reasonable guy who came out to fix our washer which suddenly stopped running and gave out an error code. I got Brian's number from another repair guy who said he doesn't do our model. When I told him the problem, he right away knew what was wrong and was able to bring a replacement computer module and was able to swap it out and make the washer run again. A very smart technician. I have a LG side by side refrigerator that was not cooling properly and the freezer side was at 44 degrees F. I called several companies I found on Yelp and decided to give this company a call. The rep. Showed up and after some testing and scratching his head, stated the motherboard needed to be replaced at the cost of $400 or $440, parts and labor. Since he didn't seem to be so sure about his diagnosis, I opted to pay him the $70 fee and get a second opinion. The next company, which was a LG certified technician, discovered a leak but couldn't tell where the the source was. He replaced the compressor, the condenser coil and two other parts, all under warranty, at $400 cost for labor. The fridge is working perfectly since then. I forgot to mention that I bought this unit 2.5 years ago. Total 4 parts were changed and motherboard was not touched. LG service center also mentioned that if there was something wrong with the motherboard, the lights on the control panel would not be working. In my opinion you should always use one of the manufacturer's authorized service facilities they recommend. LG customer service center was very hard to get a hold of and useless as no real help or diagnosis was offered over the phone. read more
