Strolled into Valentina's to have 3 items tailored and was very pleased with the service provided. Extremely impressed by her ability to make suggestions like tapering the lower leg area on my jeans which really improved the visual of my jeans. No one has ever taken the time or effort prior to me coming into Valentina's so your suggestions are much appreciated. Also my Versace sweatpants were altered for length. Gianni would have been proud by her sewing ability's and so am I. Needless to say I will make the drive from Seattle anytime I have alteration needs in the future! read more

I've been coming to Valentina's for about a year and a half now. I can trust her with tailoring (hemming/tapering) my clothes and making sure its done right. She has always done a great job. She also has great advice for tapering/hemming pants and has never been wrong. She has a reasonable turnaround time as well (allow 3-4 days). Only downside here is she is fairly expensive compared to other places in the area. Parking is also limited. read more

Brought them a dress and asked them to do a simple alteration just sewing a straight line across a dress to hold down a flap so it didn't roll up and they just said "no sorry we can't help you" lol read more

Hemming Jeans: $30 and my new $300 jeans became total garbage.. and the lady was trying to convince me that they were perfect.... look for somewhere else around $15 and better service Plus: it's prepaid here... you have to pay before you see the service they provide... i feel like i just got robbed __________________________________________________ Update: I took the jeans to another tailor shop that was rated 4.5 on yelp... and they told me the hemming was done by someone who has absolutely no experience on how to hem jeans.... I brought all my dry cleaning to Valentina's when I worked in Bellevue. I'm really bad at paying attention to prices, so I can't comment on that. But the employees were always pleasant and I was always happy with the service (quality and turnaround time). I used the tailor shop in the mall, so unlike the other reviewer I cannot comment on Valentina's tailoring skills or lack thereof. I remember seeing signs about how they specialize in wedding dress alterations. I'd ask to see samples of their work or get referrals before trusting them with The Dress! I am not one to write negative reviews or dwell on negative reviews but I was very disappointed with this experience. I had a bridesmaids dress hemmed and it was $135 because there was multiple layers. When I got it back I took it straight home to try on (should have looked at it closer in store) and the hem was uneven, the front was 1" longer than the back and the stitching was not straight it was very sloppy. In addition, I needed the straps shortened, when I got it home one side was not even attached. To spend as much as the dress cost to get it hemmed and with poor quality work I will never go back. read more

DRY CLEANING RIPOFF !!! took a shirt in for dry cleaning, lady said it'd cost $2.50. when i picked it up she said sorry but it costs $8.00. and at the other dry cleaning i've gone to in the past, it is always $2.50 thought i'd give them a try since they are only 1 block away from where i live. but now they've lost a customer forever. should be "illegal" to quote $2.50 & charge $8.00 read more

This Taylor is awesome! I took an expensive riding (horse show) coat in to have it altered and she said she couldn't save the (very tiny) piping on the sleeves (buttons in the way, etc...). It was hardly noticeable anyway but when I picked it up she had shortened the sleeves KEPT THE PIPING and fixed a number of issues. Now it looks custom made for me! I highly recommend this place. Its not fancy but who cares if the work is good! read more

Can't say enough about the altering skill and perfectionism of Valentina's. We needed 5 jackets altered after my daughter grew 2 inches. They were all perfect and you would never know that they he been altered. Not sure any other tailor would have been able to do this job. read more

I think the dry cleaning is ok, but they dont want to do harder things, so definitely not worth going here for part of your tyhings and then driving to another cleaners. Better off finding a cleaner that will do it all read more

I have been going to Valentina's for over 7 years. They have done all my dry cleaning and alterations. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The quality of work is always exceptional and you can tell that they take pride in what they do. My alterations is always spot on with the specifications that I requested. Which saved me tons of money from having to buy new pants or shirts for work. My dry cleaning is always ready in a timely manner and Valentina's even accommodated several rush dry cleaning orders. I am very particular with my clothes so when finding a tailor or dry cleaner I want to make sure it is in good hands. In all of the 7 years that I have been coming here Valentina's has not disappointed me, but exceeded my expectations. It's unfortunate to see all the negative reviews on here, because it does not accurately reflect on the staff or the craftsmanship that they do. read more

Unbelievably rude people. Overly priced. Bad quality. Never going back!

I was very disapointed with Valentina's since Valentina has retired. Valentina was an excellent seamstress and I always received my items on time. She has retired and I don't know if there is a new owner but service has deteriorated. I used Valentina for some 25+ years. When I moved to Eastern Washington (3 hours from Bellevue), I continued to use Valentina's because she did excellent work, I was willing to bring my Items to Bellevue because Valentina was so good. BUT there is a new person or new owner and the service and work has deteriorated. On August 16 I took in 2 items to be altered.and told her I would be back in town on Sept 1 to pick them up. I actually went to pick them up a day later on Saturday Sept 2 and one of the items had not been completed! She had over 2 weeks to work on it and I was scheduled to drive back to Eastern WA. She told me -" wedding dresses take priority". I had specifically told her that I live in Eastern WA and I would pick them up on Friday Sept 1- that gave her her more than 2 weeks to work on them. When I asked for a credit she asked me what amt- I said 30%- she basically said no way so i said 20%. She gave me $10 refund which was less than 10%. And then she said "I really don't have to give this to you because I said I would finish them ( while I waited) in 40 minutes and I did it in 30 minutes!" They were suppose to be done the previous day! I will find another tailor. Her attitude and her service are unacceptable to me. I cannot use someone who is not going to have my items finished when they say they will be finished since I drive 3 hours to have the work done. read more

Took my clothes to get a quote for alterations because the shop is located conveniently by Bellevue Square with several of its own parking spots. However, Valentina the owner is rude and unpleasant. She sits behind the counter and appears to be the primary interface with customers. Prices are on the higher side, so I suggest shopping around where if you are going to pay $$$, at least get pleasant service with it. read more

Valentina recently made alterations to my Millennium tuxedo. Her years of experience and years-in-business at the same location gave me confidence that I would be satisfied with the results. I like that she first used her experience to evaluate whether the tux could be altered successfully, then took charge in identifying what needed to be done with both the trousers and the jacket. Originally, I thought only the trousers needed 'easing out', but she point out where the jacket was bunching and told me what she would do to fix it. She was very pleasant, asking questions about the event where I would wear the tux. I am very pleased with the work she did; I recommend her. read more
