As a 31 year old male with thinning hair, I was in distress over what I was seeing with regard to…read moremy receding hairline. I did an extensive amount of research over the course of a year researching all the different clinics and hair transplantation techniques available in my area (NYC) and all the signs pointed to Bosley as the best option for hair restoration procedures. I elected to opt for an FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant) versus an FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) for several reasons (I highly recommend researching the different methods of hair transplantation as each person's needs may differ from mine). Bosley has been around since the 70's and I grew up watching commercials for the company's services. Bosley is the only hair restoration clinic (I could find) with any sort of guarantee and the company has many documented success stories. The doctor I worked with (Mark Faucher M.D.) has over 20 years of medical experience, which is really important to me as a consumer (moreso than that of expense- the procedure was on the higher end of pricing). I am very happy with how my scalp has healed thus far, and I am awaiting the final results of the procedure (which appear within 9 months or so after the procedure).

I have a lot to say about my last visit. I had my year follow up with Dr Al Peter (who retired…read moreseveral days after) on 12/16/25. I Expressed I was unsatisfied with a small area at the front of my scalp. Told me it was a super easy fix, 100 grafts. The Dr and Ken Batt took my availability and him and Ken told me someone would get back to me to schedule. For a moment I left feeling good for once. A week later never heard from anyone. I called Ken Batt a week later and was tolf that I should know that AFTER I left Dr Al Peter told Ken that I will be CHARGED for the 100 grafts. Said that the Bosley guarantee doesn't apply to me because all grafts grew in. It is IMPOSSIBLE to tell in 2 min of all grafts grew in and the tell tale sign that they didn't is patchyness and sparseness. After I expressed I don't feel like I should be charged for the 100 grafts, Ken told me he would look into it get back to me and make me an apt. He never made me that apt and I never heard back. This was a week ago. I'm not happy. I feel gaslit, and lied too. I should also mention that I got a Kleb C and staph infection from my procedure that I battled from 4/25 to 11/25. I was inappropriately treated for it by Dr Al Peter and was given cipro, a black label antibiotic for 15 days. I'm an athlete and it destroyed my joints. Not to mention cipro doesn't cover staph. One I developed tendinitis all over, I had to go to the ER and they didn't understand why I was placed on cipro when both bacterium showed susceptibility to BACTRIM. I have never met a company that doesn't care about their patients as much as this one. They only care about the money they get and that's it. They will fight you tooth and nail to not be held accountable to upholding their "Bosley guarantee. That guarantee is why I chose them and I wholeheartedly regret it. Turkey is cheaper, better and you can go for just a weekend. No I'm not satisfied with Bosley, or happy, at all. Update: I had several people tell me that someone from Bosley would contact me and I have heard from no one. The pictures provided is the sore that was left with the infection from April 2025- November 2025 when my own dermatologist had to cut it out and finally biopsy it.

As soon as I settled in she looked into my scalp with her tool and computer and asked me a few questions about my routine and any concerns I had. Then she proceeded to give me a detox mask, hydration mask both under the steamer. I don't fully recall the experience and everything that happened that day but only that my scalp felt so good and light! I opted to get a silk press because my silk press season is over by the time it's consistently 70+ degrees and want to get my hair pressed as many times as I can safely. It's good to have another stylist that I can trust with the health of my hair. Personally, my silk press wasn't as silky as I'm use to but my hair was flowing, healthy and looked very voluminous (-as my mom puts it lol) I enjoyed my services completely and am excited to see her at my next appointment!

I did the thing--"THE BIG CHOP"-- and Sophia exceeded my expectation 10 fold. I would recommend 10/10. The precision of her cut was on point and she allowed me to ask as many and any questions throughout the process. I've found my go to hot stylist in NY--the search is over!
