Warning: Do not go to Sutton Place Dermatology! I went there to get a laser procedure done and basically the person who did it stamped the area around my lips with round dots. It was horrendous and a huge embarrassment - I could not even cover the spots up with makeup. The prints lasted on my face as bright red for 2 months and it took 8 months for the coloring to fade. Just got back from my first appointment here with Dr Schadlow and what a sweetheart she was! First things first... getting an appointment took a month and a half (yeup thats right!) so at first I found that frustrating... but like most things in new york city, the best places always have the longest wait lists... so I took it as a good sign... especially since my last dermatologist was a nightmare (you can read up on my review if you're interested) and she was only a 1 week wait. Hmm... maybe its a sign? Sutton Place Derm is quite a bit out of the way more me to get to but Im definitely one who will do whatever it takes to get a good doctor so I woke up a bit earlier and traveled all the way there from Brooklyn. And Im glad I did. The office is pretty small but very clean. Full of samples which I always see as a plus and what should be expected at a good dermatologist office. Skin products are expensive and not everyone can afford the trial and error route like its nail polish at the drug store. The staff behind the design was incredibly nice and explained everything thoroughly and what I liked even more is they were QUICK and efficient. I got in to see the doctor in about 10 minutes. Dr. Schadlow has a very sweet and warm bedside manor and really takes the time to listen to your concerns. I drilled her about this and that and made her write down her diagnosis on one of her prescription papers (because Im a little crazy and would like to know what shes talking about) and she was incredibly patient and through. And she said to definitely call her any time with any other concerns and she would be happy to follow up. Count me in as a member of the Dr. Schadlow fan club. I was so excited when I found out she was covered under my new insurance plan. Which was a bonus because I was still going to her out of network, she's that good. Very thorough, knowledgeable and laid back. She really takes the time to ask a lot of questions, listens to my concerns and then she makes recommendations. This is how people in the medical world should be. I have been going to Dr Foitl for about a year now. I have voiced various issues and he always has a solution. I recently had the PDT done and my skin looks amazing! The staff are all so nice and made me feel so much better prior to the procedure. He has treated my acne, sun damage and mole removal successfully. He also has never pushed cosmetic procedures on me. As a 36 yr old woman who has never had Botox I really appreciate that. If I ever decide to move forward I would definitely feel comfortable having it at this office. Another dermatologist I went to in the city brought it up before she even did a full body skin check! Overall I would 100% recommend Dr. Foitl! read more

Dr. Foitl is an exceptional doctor. He is extremely caring, objective and thorough. I have had several cosmetic procedures at Sutton Place Dermatology, as well as dermatologic emergencies and it is always a positive experience. Dr. Nabatian performed a laser treatment. I was totally blown away, because the entire process was unexpectedly quick and painless. I arrived early and was seen immediately. Dr. Nabatain has very kind, attentive, and professional. He thoroughly listened to all of my concerns and provided me with several options and also keeping in mind of my sensitive skin. I had a great dermatologist in the general area who had recently retired, so I chose Dr. Monica Schadlow as the replacement after some reviews I read. She was very sweet, but clearly didn't listen to my issues. She prescribed me a face cream, which I thought would treat the face issues I had, but it only made it worse. When I raised my concerns she said "oh, this is really not meant to treat that." She then prescribed a medication, but when I took it to my pharmacy, they said it was the generic of a medication to which I'm very allergic (I know I had written that on my chart). She also kept trying to get me to try anti-wrinkle treatments and Botox. I went to her for about a year because I kept thinking she was making innocent mistakes, since she was so nice and on time (a rarity!). But after the medication mix-up, I couldn't risk going back. read more

I've been seeing her for five years or so and not only has she helped me clear up some mild acne, she is lovely to interact with, a great listener, and always willing to help, whether it's a prescription whose copay is too high or help spot-treating a minor issue. Dr. Daniel Foitl is such a great dermatologist. I'm a heath care professional so I had lots of questions. He answered all my questions and concerns, very professional and gentle. (Great bedside manners) This was my first time getting Botox and fillers and I was very concern about looking tight and unnatural. He was the best, have to say that he even talk me out of getting a more costly and invasive procedure. The results were amazing, in a few minutes he took 10 years away from my face. The staff is great, especially Phil. He is sweet, funny and very competent. I always recommend Dr. Foitl to all my friend and family members.
