It was amazing for my family and I for about a year or two and then when we started paying attention to the transactions and the treatment plans it got sketchy. If you decide to go here, keep ALL your documents and be on top of everything. Make sure you are loud and clear about what you want/ need. I had a specific issue on my left side and it took 6 months as well as the hygienist (AMAZING DR) and the receptionist, 3 separate times to correct the Valerie Scola on which side we were treating. Long story short, she took full responsibility to not listening to me or anyone who advocated for me and when I decided I no longer wanted them to treat me, tried to bill me almost $300 which they dropped 6 months after the fact because they were "being nice". Emily was the only nice receptionist everyone else either can't do the job, doesn't know what's going on, how to print a receipt, or is rude, the phone etiquete is almost as bad as the service. read more

Dr Scola is a most outstanding provider. I was a very challenging case that required, for all intents & purposes, rebuilding my whole mouth. She was as effective as a cosmetic dentist, took as much time as she needed to get each & every tooth done correctly & comfortably so I could chew again after a significant oral surgery and 5 months of no ability to eat solid foods. Goal accomplished! and with a smile, always. She's a perfectionist in her work & a pleasure to be in her presence. I adore this place, especially Dr Scola herself! She is soooo personable around town (at the Rod Run), and, professionally, I could not imagine a finer dentist. She recently wowed me even more than I thought was possible by calling to check on my dental follow up (to an extreme sensitivity I experienced). She'd said, "We'll call you" and she took the time to call me herself. This woman has 4 kids and a full time job! And obviously, a heart of gold. My socks were blown off. Dr. Scola (and staff!) How do I love thee? Seriously, amazing experience every time I go. It doesn't matter if it's me or my teenagers, consistency in care every time. Today, I had the "pleasure" of having some fillings replaced. I almost fell asleep in the chair. Dr. Scola is so gentle and her voice is so soft and soothing, it makes the experience so much better. Valerie Scola is by far the greatest dentist in the Inland Empire. I had some office issues with regards to their previous staff but she stepped in and made it right. Professional Plus! Such a positive, friendly vibe my entire time there (about 1.5 hours). Got me in with only one day notice. Dr. Scola meticulously filled the top of a bottom front tooth which I tore off by using it as a tool to open a bag of trail mix...sound familiar?! Looks (and feels) so much better! First of all, Dr Scola and her team deserve the 5 stars! Second of all, I am a real scaredy cat when it comes to the dentist but after asking for recommendations Dr Scola was suggested to me as being a great dentist to visit. Their recommendation was so accurate! Dr Scola is a highly accomplished dentist which gave me great confidence, but the big difference for me is her very caring, gentle, non-judgmental treatment of sensitive patients such as me. I am cancelling this appt with the office I do not want to feel harassed by my dentist or hygienist. This is exactly what I told you on my first visit that I did not want to feel like I was at a used car lot. Your comments to me about expecting to be addressed about my decision and having to sign a refusal form are absurd. You can also check out my comments on yelp ! Bad office policy Really bad .......... 8/14 at 2pm is reserved for you! Please keep in mind, your dental hygienist and Dr. Scola will address the need for scaling and root planing again, and may ask you to sign a treatment refusal form. Outstanding dental and customer services! The office is very clean and I liked the open feel it had. Not like I was trapped in a room. I needed to get my teeth cleaned before my wedding, and even with a booked schedule, Dr. Scola's team made it happen! Natalie provided an incredible two hour session with a full work up of X-rays and cleaning. She made me feel relaxed and was incredibly knowledgeable about ortho, and was just down right funny. She's a very pleasant person (the kind of person you trust all up in your mouth lol) I'm going to embarrass myself here, and admit I haven't been to the dentist since college back in 2012... that's 6 years people! *gasp* and she got all the nasty plaque buildup off my teeth! I then asked about cosmetic whitening services because I wanted to spruce up my smile before my wedding day. So I opted for the GLO whitening treatment. I loved it!! I'm deathly afraid of dentists so I normally just don't go. Over the weekend I had a toothache and called Dr. Scola's office and was able to get in the next day. The office staff was super nice and very helpful with the questions I had. Dr. Scola was amazing! She made me feel right at ease although I was trembling with fear. I had to get 2 fillings and she truly made the whole experience that much better. I walked out of that office called my husband and said that it was truly an amazing experience at the dentist. I've been devoted to this dental practice since the building was built back in the early '90s. I've experienced all three dentists that have had their practice here. The office is clean and inviting. Their staff, spams your email and phone with messages about appointment reminders. Scare you with cancellation reminders. But twice I clear my schedule for appointments and they don't make sure insurance is covered before I drive out of the way to come to them. I have had full insurance coverage both times this happened. I figured the first time it happened it was a a fluke. But the second time, was disappointing. Such a shame, I would have liked to stay with them, but their front staff were curt and incompetent. read more

Dr. Scola is wonderful! I had a root canal done with her and the operation went very well, no infections or anything like that. So Dr. Scola called me in December 2015 to personally apologize for the mix up with the billing in her office. Apparently she had no idea I was having an issue with the billing because they never told her, even though they told me she said not to refund me. Don't worry, that person no longer works there. Dr. Scola was very sincere and obviously cares a lot about her business' reputation. I'm glad everything worked out because as my first review states I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS DENTIST. P.S. I drive about 30 miles from Oceanside just to see Dr. Scola. I have had a ton of dental work done over the years by quite a few different dentists, and none have ever made me feel comfortable like Dr. Scola does.
