We are in the neighborhood and craving for BREADS. First bakery on my search is this place. When I walked in, cakes and pastries caught my attention. I will definitely come back to try one of those cakes on display. I got croissants, empanadas and pan de coco for takeout. We enjoyed each piece. I ordered from DoorDash, and they didn't have the items I ordered! So some stupid lady at the front decided to take it upon herself, and just give me random items I didn't order. And didn't call me to ask if I wanted anything else in return. or try to cancel the order. door dash won't refund me. And I called the lady at the front desk and she pulled the "no English" card and hung up. After she confirmed that they didn't have that those items, and she decided to give me something else. Without even calling me. Do not order here. Incompetent workers. They just wanted the money from the door dash order and didn't even care about actually giving you the items you asked for. So I chose the caramel cake... DELICIOUS ... Everyone loved it. I loved that it had the whipped cream frosting. The inside of the cake was soft and moist. The decorations were beautiful for a last minute decision. I took away 1 star because they did not include the message we wanted on top of the cake and it was a special occasion so we had to write it on the box that it came in. I was really excited to see this bakery here in College Point. It definitely has a Martha's Bakery type vibe and it does seem to have potential. My review is based on two things: (1) the chocolate chip cookie I bought and (2) the uncorrelated prices from what the employee told me vs what is listed on their menu. Since it was my first time at the bakery, I always like to try something simple at first which I know would be hard to mess up. They have a couple of variety of cookies on display. They looked very appealing, so I purchased a chocolate chip cookie. I was really disappointed at first bite. I am sure my cookie was stale. The flavor was bland and tasted as if they used Splenda sweetener instead of sugar. The cookie was hard and dry in certain spots and unfavorably chewy. I'm very reluctant to try their other items based on my initial purchase, although it is possible that cakes are truly their specialty, but as a bakery they should be able to bake everything well and as good business practice they should not sell stale items. I had also asked about the price of a chocolate lava cake, to which they stated $6 but upon checking their menu later, it was listed as $4 for just the cake and $5 with a scoop of ice cream. They recently just opened so I'd be very surprised at them increasing their prices so soon. It could be possible that they included tax and rounded up but I didn't get the opportunity to clarify as I found out about the price difference after leaving the shop. I like that they have a variety of items on their menu, and I do believe I will return to try some other types of items. I hope they will not disappoint in the future! read more

I came here today after someone at work reccomend I try it. I got the strawberry shortcake and I believe chocolate ganache cake as well as the chocolate scone and the green tea latte. The chocolate ganache was good but since I'm not a huge chocolate fan, it was def. too chocolaty for me. But for those who like chocolate, it would be perfect. The strawberry shortcake was oh so good! I tried a sample of their carrot cake, and I wish I got that one instead. The green tea latte was meh for me.
