They call themselves the kings of the Carne asada on the radio. I cal bs. Look at what I got. My family went withought a complete dinner this day because I bought flankenribs from Vallarta. All fat and bone. The skinny ribs had no meat the fat ribs were all fat. Your commercials are hilarious Vallarta. Do yourself a favor and go to the many places on main in hesperia for Carne asada or even adelanto. I went in and talked to the manager on 12/6 and was told I needed a receipt. Like I care about 25 dollars. I just wanted to give them a chance to make it right I would spend 200 a week here 52 weeks a year. Add that up. I won't be coming back here. Ill pay more at the mom&pops and other Mexican markets in the area gladly. If I could stop one person from spending 20 dollars here I will be happy

I really enjoy coming to this location. There's never a lot of people you always are able to find a parking spot. There's always plenty of cashiers open and everything is always organized. The food that they make there the hot food that they make is always on point is always delicious. Don't even get me started on how they prepare the meat.. have you ever tried the prepared Carne para tacos? Sooo good. The tortillas are good too.

These are the tamales that have obviously been sitting there longer than a few hours. Not just extra dry but also rock hard.

Tried the tamales and I can honestly say that it was a one time thing. I have no idea how long they keep them under the heat lamp but it has to be way too long to be any kind of healthy. If you're wondering about the tamales take a look at the pics and pass.

Pupusas are not good. Salsa 50% good Curtido is not good. Is discolored and has a rare flavor. That curtido in pic i made my self so dont think its their curtido cuz its not!

A good friend stopped by on her way between business meetings to check out the Pokemon card drop…read more She was approached after just five minutes and asked to leave because she was "loitering" and it was "messing with their numbers". About to leave, another customer said that this store notoriously does this - they kick customers out right before the drops so that they can buy the products themselves (if they want to buy them themselves, perhaps they can just talk to the vendor to sell to them privately instead of harassing customers). During the minute that this other customer was talking to her, a man came and reiterated that she needed to leave or he would call the police for LOITERING - less than ten minutes! The man told her that California has a ten minute law on loitering (which is an outright lie). What kind of employee threatens to have a customer ARRESTED, by way of false police report, for waiting a few minutes to purchase items from a machine that the business brought in, in order to drive foot traffic into the store?! Make it make sense! The employee (I'm assuming a manager) also said he could ask her to leave and permanently ban her from the store. Again, wtf. All this because the employee wants to buy some damn Pokemon cards? Making a false police report is an actual misdemeanor crime. In California, loitering laws generally are enforceable when ill intent is at play - waiting for cards is NOT ill intent. Wasting valuable police and public resources on frivolous calls is also extremely unethical. The fact that this behavior is known by other members in the community shows that this is an ongoing issue. Grocery customers spend thousands of dollars per year at their local grocery stores - families can spend tens of thousands per year. I will NEVER shop at a Food 4 Less again, and I will tell my friends and family to do the same. It's absolutely absurd to threaten anyone with a permanent ban and/or a false police report for "loitering" in your store for a machine you presumably WANT to drive traffic with. Just awful behavior. Just over the weekend I was at a different retail store myself and the employees kindly let me wait fifteen minutes in their lobby for my Uber to pick me up since it was very cold outside. THAT is excellent service, and I'll be giving them a great review for their kindness! Food 4 Less can learn a thing or two from them.

Hello everyone. If…read moreyou're ever in the city of Baldwin Park and like shopping at Walmart, may I suggest you go see Angel in the produce section he helped this senior citizen out tremendously even though he was busy working. Angel was very kind to go get plastic bags so I could I put my fruits and veggies from the back and brought some for me and everybody else that was shopping for groceries. Also there was this nice young lady I can't remember her name but she was very helpful and showed me where I might find Italian dressing. Walmart you need more ppl like her and Angel working for you!

Joann is such a rude employee!! Never have I met a person working in customer service with such a…read morehorrible attitude as hers. I have no idea how this woman is allowed to work in the front!!!!! We were here at about 3pm checking out and while she was helping a customer in front of us, he asked her for a bag and she replied "Well ten cents" so he started looking for change in his wallet. He took out a quarter and with a voice filled with attitude told the man who very clearly had trouble speaking English "How many do you want? I said ten cents" and he replied "Yes one bag" and so she proceeded to put his quarter back on the shelf and take a dime away from him. I get it, maybe it's easier to just get the dime instead of giving him change for a quarter but maybe he just didn't understand. No need to be rude! THEN - when we had room to put our stuff on the conveyor belt, I was waiting for a bar to separate our items and she literally THROWS the bar towards us on top of the conveyor belt instead of using the designated space to slide it down on. My mom and I just stared at each other in disbelief, had that just happened?? Whatever, we proceeded to put our items down and once it came time for her to scan our TV in our cart, she stood there with a scanner in hand and didn't say a word but expected us to somehow magically know we have to push our shopping cart around to her. Has this woman ever heard of speaking to customers to let them know what we need to do? Usually when we have big items in our carts the employee comes around and scans it but I guess that's too much work for her. Then, I was handing her my ID card for her to verify my age since I was purchasing alcohol and she completely ignored it so I put it away since she had already scanned the alcohol anyways. Someone tell me why this lady then pauses the whole transaction to stand there just staring at me. I'm confused now and don't say a word either since that's the attitude I'm receiving she can get it right back!! With an obvious anger in her tone, she says "ID???" so I give it to her AGAIN. What a horrible way to treat your customers. Why work in customer service if you can't provide a simple smile and a nice attitude?

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Tokyo Central yet, though I've stopped by here…read moredozens of times - my go to is their sushi tray options! They have the BEST tasting salmon sushi/sashimi all around, at this price point, even better salmon quality compared to nearby sushi restaurants in my opinion. (Our Japanese native friend also agrees.) Best part is - 20% off after 7 pm!!!! But the trays get snatched up quickly. Too bad I'm not around the area at that time, otherwise I'd make Tokyo Central my weekly run for dinner. Their Kimchi Tako Poke is another regular we get, it's so good. However, recently, the only option I saw was the Shoyu Tako Poke - and I didn't like this version one bit - too hard and the flavor is not to my liking. Will never get it again. The hot food area has quite a decent selection, priced and weight by the pound, self-served. Often around 3-4pm, you may see 20% discounted packaged hot food placed out, whatever that's leftover from the lunch rush hour. Tried it a few times, but felt most of the food is heavily dosed in MSG, so I'd be selective on what I get. They also have sashimi party trays which require pre-order. Great pricing for the quality and convenience. Overall, love their sushi selection, and it's a regular stop for us. As for the market itself, there's not as much to buy, and pricing is on the higher end. However, they have a larger selection of some products that I can't find elsewhere, and sometimes their advertised specials are decently priced.

This Tokyo Central is larger and better thank most of their other locations! Great supplies of all…read morethings Japanese; especially food! My favorite #1: Their eggs have golden yellow yolks, which you won't find in most supermarkets. My favorite #2: their baked teriyaki eels; you can make Eel Rice for the a small family with one package, usually between $25-35 but sometimes on sale for under $20. My favorite #3: their thick sliced bread (厚片土司) - each slice is about twice as thick as ordinary sliced break; very gratifying when they pop out of the toaster! They also have a huge selection of ready-made food from bento boxes to sushi. A great place for busy working people to get easy meal solutions!
