    Tacos de asada and carnitas
    Juan P.

Went to go get Tacos and wings. There was a small line ahead of me, but it went by pretty fast. The tacos were 3.49 each. They are a decent size Taco, I would most likely return. The Asada had very good flavor, it was very well marinated. The service was good as well, the lady was nice. Pleasant experience overall. The area look very clean. I have no complaints. Great job everybody.

Ten years ago, I was the first to review and I was not impressed. It is time for an update. I have since come back for their fresh fruits and vegetables and some choice pan dulce. The workers seem to be more friendly and helpful. I love that their meat market section does not have an off-putting smell like some other grocery stores. They even have some Succulents for sale. On busy days parking can be a problem as there are a few other businesses in this plaza including a Pizza place, a Chinese restaurant, an auto parts store, a laundromat to name a few.

    Charging tax on bottled juice!

Charging tax on bottled juice! Isn't should be no tax item? Even i told there manager but i didn't get answer for it.

Cashier Faviola was rude and unprofessional did not greet. Second she wasn't handling some fragile items carefully. Thirdly she asked if I wanted a bag I reply yes and at the end she asked again and I reply no thanks. While receiving my products and meat I have purchased she teared a meat package and didn't even bother to let me know or ask if I wanted a new packet. It's not sanitary to have a cashier stick her dirty hands finger on the meat and for a customer to have to take it home an open package, and falling from the package. Lastly, after I brought it to the cashiers attention advising her to be more careful due to her damaging the package she ask if I wanted to exchange the package and I reply yes please. She had me wait and still help the next customer. My experience on a holiday season was horrible and your cashier needs more training for that red vest position.

Typical Mexican supermarket. Prices for everything were very high and the selection was really poor. Disappointed.

A good friend stopped by on her way between business meetings to check out the Pokemon card drop…read more She was approached after just five minutes and asked to leave because she was "loitering" and it was "messing with their numbers". About to leave, another customer said that this store notoriously does this - they kick customers out right before the drops so that they can buy the products themselves (if they want to buy them themselves, perhaps they can just talk to the vendor to sell to them privately instead of harassing customers). During the minute that this other customer was talking to her, a man came and reiterated that she needed to leave or he would call the police for LOITERING - less than ten minutes! The man told her that California has a ten minute law on loitering (which is an outright lie). What kind of employee threatens to have a customer ARRESTED, by way of false police report, for waiting a few minutes to purchase items from a machine that the business brought in, in order to drive foot traffic into the store?! Make it make sense! The employee (I'm assuming a manager) also said he could ask her to leave and permanently ban her from the store. Again, wtf. All this because the employee wants to buy some damn Pokemon cards? Making a false police report is an actual misdemeanor crime. In California, loitering laws generally are enforceable when ill intent is at play - waiting for cards is NOT ill intent. Wasting valuable police and public resources on frivolous calls is also extremely unethical. The fact that this behavior is known by other members in the community shows that this is an ongoing issue. Grocery customers spend thousands of dollars per year at their local grocery stores - families can spend tens of thousands per year. I will NEVER shop at a Food 4 Less again, and I will tell my friends and family to do the same. It's absolutely absurd to threaten anyone with a permanent ban and/or a false police report for "loitering" in your store for a machine you presumably WANT to drive traffic with. Just awful behavior. Just over the weekend I was at a different retail store myself and the employees kindly let me wait fifteen minutes in their lobby for my Uber to pick me up since it was very cold outside. THAT is excellent service, and I'll be giving them a great review for their kindness! Food 4 Less can learn a thing or two from them.

I have no idea how this woman is allowed to work in the front!!!!! We were here at about 3pm checking out and while she was helping a customer in front of us, he asked her for a bag and she replied "Well ten cents" so he started looking for change in his wallet. He took out a quarter and with a voice filled with attitude told the man who very clearly had trouble speaking English "How many do you want? I said ten cents" and he replied "Yes one bag" and so she proceeded to put his quarter back on the shelf and take a dime away from him. I get it, maybe it's easier to just get the dime instead of giving him change for a quarter but maybe he just didn't understand. No need to be rude! THEN - when we had room to put our stuff on the conveyor belt, I was waiting for a bar to separate our items and she literally THROWS the bar towards us on top of the conveyor belt instead of using the designated space to slide it down on. My mom and I just stared at each other in disbelief, had that just happened?? Whatever, we proceeded to put our items down and once it came time for her to scan our TV in our cart, she stood there with a scanner in hand and didn't say a word but expected us to somehow magically know we have to push our shopping cart around to her. Has this woman ever heard of speaking to customers to let them know what we need to do? Usually when we have big items in our carts the employee comes around and scans it but I guess that's too much work for her. Then, I was handing her my ID card for her to verify my age since I was purchasing alcohol and she completely ignored it so I put it away since she had already scanned the alcohol anyways. Someone tell me why this lady then pauses the whole transaction to stand there just staring at me. I'm confused now and don't say a word either since that's the attitude I'm receiving she can get it right back!! With an obvious anger in her tone, she says "ID???" so I give it to her AGAIN. What a horrible way to treat your customers. Why work in customer service if you can't provide a simple smile and a nice attitude?

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Tokyo Central yet, though I've stopped by here…read moredozens of times - my go to is their sushi tray options! They have the BEST tasting salmon sushi/sashimi all around, at this price point, even better salmon quality compared to nearby sushi restaurants in my opinion. (Our Japanese native friend also agrees.) Best part is - 20% off after 7 pm!!!! But the trays get snatched up quickly. Too bad I'm not around the area at that time, otherwise I'd make Tokyo Central my weekly run for dinner. Their Kimchi Tako Poke is another regular we get, it's so good. However, recently, the only option I saw was the Shoyu Tako Poke - and I didn't like this version one bit - too hard and the flavor is not to my liking. Will never get it again. The hot food area has quite a decent selection, priced and weight by the pound, self-served. Often around 3-4pm, you may see 20% discounted packaged hot food placed out, whatever that's leftover from the lunch rush hour. Tried it a few times, but felt most of the food is heavily dosed in MSG, so I'd be selective on what I get. They also have sashimi party trays which require pre-order. Great pricing for the quality and convenience. Overall, love their sushi selection, and it's a regular stop for us. As for the market itself, there's not as much to buy, and pricing is on the higher end. However, they have a larger selection of some products that I can't find elsewhere, and sometimes their advertised specials are decently priced.
