SOLID PANADERÍA & FRESH MEATS! Vallarta is a fun grocery store to visit as it has lots of Mexican essentials albeit a bit overpriced. The Mexican bread steadily becomes better and better upon each visit and they provide an excellent assortment. As for milk, juice, water etc, it's standard. They've got all the name brands here, just with a slight uptick in cost. If you're looking for some Mexican brands not found at other grocery stores, this is your spot. The store is fairly calm, light music can be heard across the aisles and the lighting is comfortable. Some friends and I went shopping here and we were able to locate items fast! Everything was labeled and easy to find. My friend bought some carne asada and pollo asado from Vallarta the other day and it was DELICIOUS! An excellent cookout indeed. Service is fast, attendants are always available and willing to help. I usually shop at night and utilize the self-checkout kiosks. However, if I ever need help I know it's near. Note: Vallarta shares the space with a in-house restaurant called Sayulita Taproom. The taproom offers craft beers, tasty tacos, and large screens for sports viewing. read more

Used to love coming here for my favorite Ice Cream's and desserts. Today seemed very unorganized, the Ice Cream that I normally get showed it was on sale for 7.99 so I got 2 of them. When I made it to self checkout the price rang up 9.59 ea. I brought this to the teller's attention, so she called for assistance to double check the price. The rep checked the pricing and noticed the tag had fallen off. In conclusion the teller did not want to honor the price that was shown and asked I pay the 9.59 for both. I thought this was poor customer service given the circumstances. I won't be coming back. read more

I went here twice. This place is huge and clean. They have a hot food area with lots of dishes to choose from. There is also a tortilleria and a scrions on sweets. Their meat selection is huge I got their marinated carne asada. It was delicious. I saw some reviews saying this place is little pricier but I guess it is relative. It is pricier compared to other stores but I'm visiting from the north so this is cheaper. Excellent customer service. Josh, the cashier was friendly and professional. I had to celebrate Cinco de Mayo by having some really good authentic Mexican food. So I went to where they serve hot food, and I had an amazing burrito and a bunch of tacos. They were delicious and the price was fair. I love this place. read more

I was very excited for Vallartas to open as we have Cardenas in San Jacinto and I've not had positive experience with Cardenas (flies in meat, metal in the pan). I've gone to Vallarta's a number of times and it's honestly hit and miss, whether it's the quality of the meat or friendliness of the staff. Prices are higher than other grocery stores on some things. They have some delicious pan dulces, especially the fresas con crema concha- ¡ay, dios mío! The store has always been clean when I've come and it doesn't seem as busy as it was previously so parking is pretty easy to land as well. read more

Excellent customer service! This store is HUGE and offers so much ! I couldn't believe it when I went through their grand opening ! What a fkn store man.. I love that they have a a whole TapRoom bar and restaurant attached to the store. The tacos from the tap room are pretty bomb! I tried the fish taco and it did not disappoint. They have Agua Fresca ready if you're thirsty. In the meat department, you'll find a huge variety of items to choose from as well as the seafood side of it, especially if you like ceviche they have like 6 to 7 different types of ceviche which I loved also sidenote they sell my favorite hot sauce the El Yucateca Caribbean Habanero! I used to go to Stater Brothers a lot, but this is honestly one of my new favorite stores to grocery shop at. They even have a huge section towards the left of the store near the taproom that sells tamales as well as pastries and fresh tortillas. I came here to cater food for a party of 10 and this place is huge! I've never been a Vallarta that had such a big selection of fresh food before. I was looking into buying meat per pound and they gave me exactly what I asked for. I ordered 4 pounds of carne asada and they cooked it for me. Although, I did think the rice, beans and tortillas came with how much meat I was buying since technically I was "catering" but I'm assuming it was with other packages. All in all, great selection in salsas, fresh food like rice, beans, cut up fruit, agua frescas and much more. I heard things were priced a bit higher than other places, but this is pretty much a one stop shop of all things Mexican so no more of driving to three different places to make up tonight's dinner. We went to this new store for the first time as others were talking about it. I received their advertising mailer in my driveway, but it didn't have the same store name or the address of the store. The flyer had good prices on fresh vegetables, but I was concerned that some vegetable items were recently recalled. I found the prices were higher than stores in the area for many common things: butter $6 a pound??? We checked items (we usually purchase) throughout the perimeter of the store including the restaurant portion and some of their prices too were higher than local stores. The only thing I could understand why this store is being discussed is that they have many Mexican foods specialties. Foods in the delicatessen were labeled in Spanish, but throughout the store the overhead signs were in both English and Spanish. The store was clean. read more

This morning around 9 am, my wife and wanted a fresh squeeze orange juice, we asked the girls that were preparing the guacamole inside the kiosks, they told us that we needed to go to the end of the hot food section to get the juice, we walked to the area where they told us, we waited easily 10 minutes, although they were workers all around us and they knew we where there, NO ONE came over to help us. So we decided to walk away. This is the last time we would be coming to this store, and we will make sure to tell all of our friends and relatives about the poor customer service of this place. read more

Fully stocked, Nice people and clean. I haven't tried everything yet but I had got several different things to try. I've tried horchata and it was too sweet, the rice and cinnamon was overpowering. It was stirred but the whole water taste like when the bottom portion when it sets. Only this water was stirred it just tasted like that. Today my husband got Jamaica and I got chapurrado. Again Jamaica was too sweet and the chapurrado was straight out "Nata"(milk skin)- too thick to drink. I was disappointed. read more

Such a beautiful and colorful market! Upon entering the market there is a huge painted Welcome Hemet mural - gives such a fun and inviting feeling. Today I went to buy a ham tortas with some dessert for my family. I end up throwing everything away except the dessert. Let me tell you, it was nasty and saggy. I have to said store is clean yes. great selection on products but, customer service is going down in this location. Cashier saw you on the line and once you start putting your stuff on the counter she decides to close register and asked you to move to another one which I did and surprise light is on but nobody there. Same cashier asked to move told me oh put your stuff on the counter she is around the store and she will be with you in few ...... yes she was around the store chatting and laughing with security and sore kind of supervisor. Absolutely loved this place. You can find everything you are looking for and more. We were met by two exemplary employees. Jose, who was the sampler, was just Absolutely charismatic and helpful. Not only did he excel in his job, he went above and beyond to help us find products and showed us how to make certain foods. What a kind and positive human being. Well well. Racism on the menu. Went to this place, super nice and clean. Good place to order food. Stood in line like everyone else until it was my turn. When my turn came, the little short wide mean lady asked me was I next. I said YES. She waddled past me and went to help the next customer whose skin color was just like hers. This is unacceptable. As unacceptable as her appearance. Money is green not black, white or brown. I came all the way from Lake Elsinore and let me just say this Vallarta is well kept cleaned and super organized, loved how everything had its own stations, but not but least I saw the florist lady make beautiful flowers/ramos for the customers which were very lovely! This Vallarta has like a small inside restaurant/small bar inside which is 10/10 !!! I will be definitely back to try it out but I heard lots of good things about the fish tacos !! read more

I have been giving this place some grace since it has opened, but today is the final time I will be spending my money in the hot food section. The carnitas had way more fat than meat and no flavor, the with meat was old and the meat was stringy and hard. last but not least the bolilo was hard. How disappointing after a long day this is one of staples in my home for an easy, quick, delicious dinner. Cardenas would never disappoint me like this. What a waste of time and money.
