The manager of the deli Ben it's very rude. My mom and I went to the deli to buy some chicken. He didn't ask us what we wanted. He asked the other girl what we wanted he did not speak to any of us very unprofessional. A Caucasian couple walked up to buy some chicken. He was smiling and grinning and they face spoke to them. It's very unprofessional. We did not buy anything in that store. We left everything in the basket and went to Stater Brothers instead they know how to speak to people and be professional. This is unacceptable. This is my experience in this store. We will never go again by your beware. read more

It's gonna be a really long time before I go to this Winco. The chicken wings that I like to buy are always hidden and in some strange place that they shouldn't be. They're not with the regular frozen food. They're not in the freezer doors and they're not with the regular chicken wings where the frozen vegetables are either and it seems like they're always in some odd area and then I run out of time and energy searching for him so there's really no point in going to the store however, but I saw today in the bulk bands put the final nail in the coffin. I went to go get some cranberries and there was a long blonde dish squiggly curly hair that was buried in there and it's the workers job to make sure that this kind of stuff. Stays out of there after I was discussed with that I go around the corner to the spices and it's attracting these huge horse flies. I'm gonna upload the photos so that you can see it for yourself all in all. I'm disgusted I won't be coming back. when I went to report this to the blonde Hispanic cashier on my way out, she kept calling me, honey, and patronizing me, what that does is it immediately tries to be little the person that's making the complaint by acting like she's superior like she's my mother calling me, honey and baby that just shows what little self-worth she has. She didn't handle it well while she tried to be compassionate, but she really tried to do was act like the customer was making a big deal out of nothing and finding hearing in your food is not a small deal finding flies flying around the spice and bulk bins that's not a small deal at all Heck there was even flies around the cashiers at the front. The good things: wide aisles, variety and good prices. Cashiers are very nice. Large parking lot although it's very busy. The not so good: It's Hemet. Because customers must self bag and quite a few of them are elderly, both sides of the conveyer belts are taken and I usually have to bag in inconvenient ways. Can you get some help for the old folks? I think I've only gotten a conveyer belt to myself twice, and I go once a week for my Mom. Otherwise I would not shop here. And the bathrooms are disgusting. read more

This morning I bought groceries at the Winco in Hemet. When I got to the register I couldn't find my ATM card. I panicked and asked the cashier if she could suspend the transaction so I could check my car. When I got outside I did find the card in my purse. VERY SWEET NIGHT STAFF! So I had to grab a couple things and as I love to go engage in late night shopping, WinCo is my go-to. I didn't have my card on me, I forgot it at home and my Mom who was in another line managed to beat me. I was thinking I would be able to use Apple Pay but they don't use that here. I had to borrow my Mom's car and held up the line for a couple seconds. I was so embarrassed but the cashier (a younger girl with a mask and glasses) was so gracious and kind, it was amazing! She was super quick and helpful with everyone! I appreciate this kind of service during 24/7 shopping. The staff seemed to be alert and in a good mood. The overall ambiance was calm, no crazy shenanigans or hoodlums! I came in for some non-dairy frozen yogurt and they had a solid selection. The bakery was also well-stocked. I can tell the store is consistently well-stocked as I saw the staff hustling. Love this WinCo! read more

I sought out legal advice and I was informed that this LP team has violated my civil rights and inFACT committed criminal acts. Although theft is a crime and a bad decidion, sometimes life brings hardships and hunger, The servants upholding the moral and law at winco in hemet, ca. are frauds. The individuals in position to enforce the lawc can not match public actions and even one up them. This can not be the only incident im calling them out on. Once you get confronted by LP, they have no right to physical force, unless justified.( in this case,NOT) My legal consultant also said, "they cant search your person or belongings beyond what is in plain sight for stolen goods."Not only a pocket search was conducted but they "confiscated" personal items that were NOT STORE MERCHANDISE. So taking them isnt recovering store goods they actually committed an assault and/or theft on me! Taking my personal items and keeping them is an illegal act. My lawyer says that is a crime. Im calling for immediate action on these 2 individuals. I also want to know if winco legal team is aware of this strong arm and do they approves of these actions. Also are these policies and procedures in writing . I cant believe these actions fall under the guideline of shopkeepers mandated hanbook, rules, regulations and legal limits. This Winco needs a security guard here at night. Place is a haven for the desperate homeless in the area. They enter late at night and steal food and no one stops them. I felt bad for one real filthy one so I gave him 5 dollars and I was invaded and overwhelmed by 5 more homeless begging as soon as they saw. It was like feeding seagulls, they all swarm as soon as they see the dollar. I like Winco, just think I'll stay away at night from now on. read more

I arrived at the pizza counter at 7pm today 9/6/24 and ordered 2 all meat grinders. I was told they wouldn't be ready until 8:30 pm. I saw 3 tickets waiting beside mine. It was not that busy. The person making the pizzas kept leaving to go into the store to get ingredients and to just walk around.They told me my order was next when I paid at 7:45 half hour later I was still waiting. I really like this Winco. Truth be told, this is the only one I have ever been to. This store is huge and has sooo many selections. They have a bulk buy section, just like sprouts does for grains and candy. My favorite part of this store is the bakery. They usually have cherry and strawberry rhubarb pies that, in my opinion, are delicious. They have great meat options, and the prices aren't crazy high. I wish this store was a bit closer, but that's ok. It's worth the drive. Thank you to the employees who are always willing to help me find things. Thank you to the employees who keep the store super clean. Now if y'all could stop gossiping around the customers that would be great too. We have shopped at Hemet Winco and have for the last five years. Selection is great and shelves are always stocked well. Prices are great. But, come on, management, do you ever have anyone pick up trash in your parking lot? Unfortunately, lots of people just drop their trash wherever they are. We just left your store and was very disappointed how much trash was everywhere we looked. We'll keep shopping at your store but would love to see the outside cleaned up. read more

We have been having quite the experience in this town lately! My husband is Caucasian and I am Mexican but am very light skin and can pass for "white". We don't know for a fact if this is a racial issue or not but our cashier Andrielle H was so RUDE and snippy with us. She couldn't even give us the smallest amount of customer service, more or or less an acknowledgment. I went out of my way to be nice and even smiled at her with my own greeting and nada from her! There was an uncomfortable tension in the air coming from her. However, as soon as she helped the person behind us, she was very nice and the tone of her voice was soft and sweet and inviting. We didn't take it personally at first until we saw her interactions with the other customer. Most of the time our experience at this location is great. We have a grocery store much closer to our home near Park Ave. that we could easily go to. Hopefully our next experience will be better and I can change this review in the near future. Very well kept and maintained WinCo Store. Everything is nice and clean as well as organized. They had about 2-3 employees working in the produce department meaning sure everything was nice and clean. The deli/meat department was well kept and very well presented. Overall, very organized. The only thing I'm not a fan of at WinCo is that they only take debit cards. No credit cards people. I'm just someone who tends to use their credit cards just because of the identity theft that's been going on. I'd rather close out a credit card and get a new one reassigned, than a bank one. Anyways, besides that, I love this store. You can pretty much find anything. They have many bulk items as well, including granola, spices, different types of rice, cereals, candy, dog food, you name it, they probably have it. read more

This is the most Ghetto Winco store I've ever been to. Do NOT shop here at night. Festering Hobos and Ghouls loitering in the parking lot waiting to break in your vehicle. There were no handicapped carts available, they were all locked up ! Only one cashier open which took over an hour to check out . Very dirty compared to Palm Desert location. Restroom was horrible with feces smeared all over the walls. Open boxes of stock all down the aisles with no one cleaning them up. Worst Winco ever !!! read more

If I could rate this store a big fat ZERO, I would! To start off, they don't greet you when you walk in there they just stare at you. Upon checking out at the register of the lady helping us did not even say " hi how are you?" She was more nice to the person in front of us who was a Caucasian man, that being said, I can already tell this lady is racist. It is her job to work and count things, how hard is it to do your job girl? Also, don't appreciate that they don't even help you bag things especially my mom being handicap I'm not able to walk tops it off because they don't even ask you if you need any help to your car. The pizza is actually good but the service is terrible. Every time we order there the employees are super put out to be there and actively try to discourage you from ordering. They say it will take hours and we tell them it's fine we are going to shop first, then it's miraculously done in 30. Today we were ignored for a solid 10 plus minutes and had to flag down a person to try and order. Told it would be 3 hours. 3 hours?? So we just bought a box pizza from the store and left. If you don't want to serve pizza, close the area, if you don't want to make large pizzas, stop advertising it everywhere. Maybe it's just Hemet but their system is ridiculous. They appear to hate the customers. It's fine if you want to buy a slice that's been sitting for hours, otherwise good luck. read more

While in our regular Winco doing our shopping as we were getting into the checkout line, this guy with his wife and kid starts looking at me weird. Then comes out at me saying to stop following him. I'm like, your too ugly to be following dude, get out of my space. He keeps it up and then swings and hits me in the face, knocking off my glasses and Tesla hat. I say "Hit" because it couldn't have been a punch from this lite weight and it felt like a hit from my wife. So, none of the Winco employees help whatsoever, just watch. And I'm a regular customer in there. A Military VET and Senior Citizen. But when the assaulting guy darts out the door with his wife and kid? Several of the Winco employees go out with him. They come back in 20-30 mins later and tell me, sorry, we couldnt get a description of the vehicle or plate. I would venture to say they more and likely assisted this guy in leaving and escaping. My Tesla hat was stolen and I reported it to Winco Corporate but they said they can't release the video tapes without the Police Officers coming to them with a report in hand. America's are getting lazerier and rudder every day! I won't shop in the place again myself. If they don't care anymore about their customers safety and personal items? Tuesday June 20, 2023, probably my worst shopping experience at this WinCo location. I had no intention of reviewing WinCo Foods on here since I gave them a feedback earlier today on their survey about the cashier who was interested of having the last words instead of leaving well enough alone. It was the price discrepancy of the Brisk Ice Tea. I said I walked in and saw the price for the Brisk Ice Tea for 88 cents, but there were multiple flavors in the bin (the bins at the entrance as you enter the store). I wasn't sure whether the price was for 1 flavor or not so I got other flavors and made mental note to have the price checked at the register before deciding to buy the rest or not... Since the price wasn't the same as how I saw it (and mind you I was even calculating the price for all the drinks that I grab with my husband just in case the price was legit, so my husband is a witness). It turned out that instead of 88 cents, it's 98 cents. Well I don't like these practices if it's intentional, or a mistake in their pricing system so I just told the cashier no, I don't want those drinks. I also requested for them to update the sign on the bins. Guess what? The other associate came back to say that it's 98 cents. I don't know what happened during the 45mins of me being in the store and spent $137 there, but remember when I stated that the cashier loved having the last words? Guess what she might be saying when we continue talking about it? Fastforward... I decided to cook the shrimp that I bought today (just half the bag), the 31/40 size bag for $26.90 (as printed on my receipt). The smell was rotten... I just wished that I was able to smell it through the bag before buying the shrimps. The bag states "Sell by 09.17.23." (Picture of date on the bag is attached to this review). But today is 06/20/2023 so it should be good, but... the smell, the stench, made my nose clogged up and it was worse while cooking it. I bought the same size shrimps in the same type of package (5lb bag) multiple times in the past, but never has the shrimp ever smell this rotten to the point my nose all clogged up. I am very sensitive to rotten food, either I couldn't swallow the food in my mouth or I ended up throwing up if I do swallow it. In this case, I couldn't even swallow the food. I threw away all the shrimp I cooked and also the remaining shrimps in its original bag/package. WinCo couldn't rip me off on the price differences of those Brisk drinks, but they managed to ripped me off $26.90 by selling me rotten shrimps. read more

Hi i was a loyal customer for years until today. I was treated like i was a shoplifter. I walked through the self checkout because i was only buying one thing and did not want to walk all the way around the store. I was yelled at by employees. I bought my item and only wanted to explain how yelling at me like that was not right . Then i was yelled at by another employee again as i was leaving. The employees are way to aggressive and stressed out and very rude look out for the maintanance guy with one hand he is very rude and his buddy with the long beard and balding head he is very rude and a bully . The store manager does nothing about the homeless asking for money in front of the store very unsafe place to shop now.
