Great little Mom and Pop business (literally) that has been around for more than 40 years run by the Valle family. We have been coming here for as long as I remember and it's always the same. I'm a sucker for consistency. I can't even begin to think of how many times we've been here. My wife used to work around the corner at Bluff City Electronics years ago. Not everything is phenomenal but a bunch of things are. I've had some REALLY good pizza and I have had some pretty bad pizza. The lasagna is damn tasty. Never had any other pastas though... I had the Calzone only once and it sucked. I love the Meatball Sub and the Spicy Italian is a life changer. I have brought several newbies here and when they get the Spicy Italian they fall in love with the place. They almost always call me later and talk about it and then find reasons to be in the area. We did get some catering once and it turned out fantastic. You can feed 8 people lasagna or pasta for $5.50 each, which is a kick ass deal! I will return again and again... I got lucky with the new job and I am right down the road again! I'll see you there!

Very friendly people serving not the best pizza. The pizza is more akin to frozen pizza tossed in an oven and served half cooked. It is a shame, because the people were tremendous here. I will say that the place was extremely busy, though I would attribute that more to location and the friendliness of the people than the quality of the food. I picked up a large pizza with sausage and it was a good sized pizza. It was square, almost akin to a Sicilian pizza, but without the thickness. The price was also decent, the pizza was about sixteen dollars.

Turkey Reuben is my go to favorite sandwich for lunch. Excellent combination of fresh turkey, sauerkraut, spicy brown mustard on a grilled fresh hoagie bun. Cut in 1/2 and save for later! Fantastic service too !

The pepperoni pizza slice was thin and good. The spicy Italian sandwich was not particularly spicy but was tasty.

Pretty tasty experience at this Italian spot. It's located in Whitehaven which I typically never in that area so I wouldn't have known about this spot of it hadn't been someone who recommended I try it. The outside of the building is a little lacking and gives the vibe that it's just pizza but it's pizza and much more. Their lasagna was tasty. It wasn't overly salty (actually a little sweetness in the sauce) it was a nice change bc it was a more basic lasagna that you could add Parmesan and red pepper flakes to jazz it up but plain enough for anyone to enjoy. You get garlic bread with it as well. I was a little disappointed they don't make their own Italian dressing at least bc I'm not a fan of bottled store bought hence the 4 stars. The girls who run the front are absolutely precious and friendly which is 10 stars in my books. Their sandwiches are tasty and the bread is quite delicious. Stop in and pay a visit to this unassuming place!it's super clean and you have to go before 2 bc that's when they close. If only they were located in a more central part of town bc I think they would double their business!!

Very good Italian eatery for the area. Its been here 40yrs (1977-2017). They specialize in pizzas, salads and sandwiches. They have weekly specials that they provide updated on Mondays. My fav so far is the spixy italian sandwich. Mounds of meat heated and put ibto a sandwich. The bread is lightly toasted and tastes great. Pizza is not bad here. Yoi can get a whole rectangle pizza or add a slice on the side.

    Slice of "pizza"

Was looking for a place to get a tuna sub from, this was suggested when searching Yelp. When I get there, its pretty busy so Im thinking this place MUST be great. I was sadly mistaken. While looking at the menu board I got the feeling that all their sandwiches were made hot so when I got to the front to order, I specifically asked if any of their sandwiches were serverd cold. I was told the "hero". I asked what came on it, sounded like a normal sub aside from only being able to get Italian dressing on it but I roll with it. Notices the pizza slices coming out looked decent too so I decide to get one of those. I order to go & sit & wait. Order comes up, they give me a refill on my drink & I leave. When I get to where Im having my lunch, I open the pizza & am instantly disappointed. It looked nothing like the slices I saw going to the people that were seated in the restaurant. It looked like the nasty pizza you got for lunch in school only it tasted much worse that school pizza. Somehow it was burnt & hard yet chewy. One bite & it went in the trash. Move on to the sandwich....pull it out, looks kinda small to be a "HERO" & its HOT. Its a round hard as hell bun thats been toasted to the point that the little sliver of cheese that was on the sandwich was obliterated into the bun. There was no tomato & 2 little pieces of lettuce. All was swimming in Italian dressing. Against my better judgment I bit into it anyway. One bite & it was over, the roll broke apart & crumbled into dust & all that I could taste was hot Italian dressing. $15 worth of inedible food.

World's finest? Self proclaimed? You will have to decide.

Fast food that takes a while longer. 89% health score. Decent food, good price, good value. I arrived at 11:15 on a Monday, and was only the 4th or 5th customer for the day. People were coming in droves. This place fills up so fast. Mondays are usually considered to be slow. I wonder what a busy day is like here. The dining room resembles a lodge and it is kind of cool. There was no music playing, but I did see an antique jukebox from the 60s. Don't know if it works. The people started getting loud as they came in anyway. The only thing I saw that was dirty was the salt & pepper on my table. They have an 89% on their health department score. This isn't too good considering they are only officially open 15 hours per week. I'm sure they work more than that, but there is plenty of time to improve on that score. They serve food on disposable plates, so they aren't spending the rest of the day washing dishes. I ordered their weekly special which had spaghetti, cheese ravioli, bread, and salad. I also ordered a slice of pizza to try. The special was about $8.00, the slice $2.15, the tea $1.60 which were all great prices. I paid about $12.00 for everything. Great price, great value. Service is almost non existent. You wait in line and order at the counter. They look for the number display you put on your table and bring the food to you. That's all the service there is. People were refilling their own drinks out of tea pitchers. I guess the upshot is not tipping. Although I was among the first few customers, it took about a thirty minute wait to receive my food. I would have expected my salad first, but they waited to bring it all at once. The special should have been ready to plate up, but maybe they felt as if they couldn't bring it until the pizza was ready. I don't know. The salad was so, so, the Garlic butter bread was actually quite good. The spaghetti was so fast food, and the ravioli reminded me so much of Chef Boyardee. It was served hot, and it was filing, and the portion size was big for the money. I can see now why after all these years, there was not one single picture of the pizza on the yelp page. The pizza just doesn't look good enough to be photo worthy. (my opinion) The sign out front uses puffery to advertise that their pizza is the finest in the world. By what means are we measuring this pizza against? Who declared that it is the finest, and what do we have to back that statement? Puffery is an advertisement that uses meaningless words that any reasonable person would know it's not to be taken literally. That's where this falls in, because it's so subjective. You'd think that the world's finest pizza would have hundreds of photos and thousands of good reviews. To me, this is not the world's finest pizza, but I did like it. The first thing I noticed is its size. It just doesn't measure up to many other slices in this city. I liked the dough. It is light and fluffy, and didn't leave oil all over my hands. It even came with a piece of burned cheese which hadn't quite turned to carbon! What I really liked about the pizza the most (and my over all meal) was the pizza sauce. I like to taste my sauce and this was spot on. Lots of sauce and lots of flavor. I give it three stars because it is so average. It does have a few strong points, (value, food temperatures, sauce) and it has a few weaknesses (cleaning, slice sizes, paper plates, lack of service). I think I would eat here again if I was already close by.

We found this place thanks to looking for local restaurants using Yelp. All of my Memphis friends were recommending places downtown, but we had just left the downtown area on the way to Graceland. They sell pizza by the slice, but you can order a whole pizza, as well. Purchasing by the slice worked well for a group of 5 women all with different tastes. We also shared some cheese breadsticks. Everything was good but nothing about the food was exceptional. It's just basic pizza and breadsticks. The service was pretty awesome. Oh, and they really need to offer bacon as a pizza topping. It was a sad day when I had to order ham instead of bacon.

Slim is a smaller pizza and husky is a larger size). My pizza came out hot and fresh. Sauce to meat and cheese ration was great. I really did like the pizza. Now I am a cinnamon roll aficionado. So there was a high standard to meet here. Unfortunately, they fell very short with the cinnamon roll. It was not fresh and seemed to have been microwaved. It was hard on top and gummy throughout. I asked for a different one. One that was fresh. They were happy to accommodate. Unfortunately, the fresher one was the same way. So the cinnamon roll was a 1 out of 10. But, the pizza was an 8.5 out of 10. Go for the pizza....
