Have been getting lots of prompts to try this restaurant for a while so I decided to try their margherita pizza to go. I'm sorry to say we were disappointed. The dough was hard to chew. It was overloaded with sauce to the point that it was very soggy in the center. Very little cheese that would slip off once you pick up a slice. If this is what the restaurant is famous for.... This was not a good first impression. We decided it was a fluke and are willing to give the restaurant one more try in person this time. I'll update when that happens. read more

My wife and our friends had dinner at Brooklyn Bridge last night and it was one of the best meals we've had ! The Dover Sole was wonderful as was the Lobster Ravioli's but the highlight was the Chicken Marsala. The Marsala sauce was the best I ever had. The service was great as well. read more

6-13-26 We were there for dinner when they opened. Everything was okay until we lost our waiter to another person to serve us. The server was a bit confused because she didn't know what tables to go to serve the plates to right customers. We witnessed a lot of mistakes and mixed up orders. We finally received our order of dishes. 2 out of 3 plates were made without much taste to the meal. The Lobster Ravioli and Shrimp were not that good. For a pricey dish that had no lobster taste to the ravioli and three small shrimp. We wish that the kitchen would pay more attention to details to their seasoning. The desserts were fine. I can't believe I've never been here! My family was craving Italian, and we decided to drop by for dinner. Everything was enjoyable. It's a great date night. We had the kids with us, and it was fine. They were a little impatient. What kid isn't? The food was worth the wait. I could take the other half home and enjoy it the next day. There's dim lighting, and the ambiance is romantic. Everything that we ordered looked fantastic. My dish was shrimp fra vidola, and it's a bit spicy, not much at all, just a little kick. I like everything spicy. The Italian cafe ambience is fun but best of all, the food is most excellent. If you've never tried this place and seek good Italian food, try it,. You will not be disappointed. However, this is not fast food as they cook it to order. A party of three, two of us had the horseradish encrusted salmon. An excellent choice. The third-party had chicken piccata, which was also divine. (Yes, I stole a bite!) With this meal comes a salad and a side so I chose a Caesar salad. Where they did not overload with dressing. Topped it with shaved Parmesan. The small side dish of angel hair noodles with meat sauce was wonderful as well. The chicken piccata I am told was tender, delicious and such a generous portion, half was taken home as leftovers. I found the wait staff to be very attentive, but not overly so. I have loved this restaurant since it opened. I haven't been here for years since I have been out of the area. Last night I dined there and I was not disappointed. My filet was prepared perfectly. My entire party enjoyed their food. The only complaint was no one enjoyed the spinach Florentine. It was flavorless and lacked creativity. We all love spinach and after one bite we all were pushing it aside. No one took it home either. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean and the service was relatively good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only thing I would say that would be better (other than the spinach) would be take the tails off the shrimp please. Next time I go I guess I will have to remember they don't do this and ask. I just hate tails on shrimp. I mean why? It's not esthetically pleasing at all. I like to eat the entire shrimp so this makes me have to take the tails off which is hard to do with all that delicious cream sauce. Attention every restaurant - why hand out food menus to everyone and yet only one drink menu when it is the drinks that are ordered first? Please give a drink menu to everyone! We settled on a bottle of wine and they were out of that wine. With a rather small wine menu, there is no excuse for being out. For starters we had the Mussels fra Diavolo. Good quantity, well done mussels and a nice sauce, but no small forks or spoons as better restaurants serve with mussels. Also had shrimp gorgonzola, which was excellent. All four side salads were fresh and crispy. Mains: Manicotti was according to the person who ordered it, average at best. Veal Piccata was very good but the side was forgotten and brought later. Veal Marala was described as just okay and again the pasta it was supposed to come on was left off so the server took it back and it took way to long to return. Veal lolla Brigida was really really good. For dessert the server suggested caramel pie and insisted we get two for the four of us. We resisted and just got one and it was plenty to share. Shame on him for pushing so hard. As for the quality of the pie; it was good. Final conclusion is a low 4 stars to a high 3 stars. Listing it as a 3 because of the service issues. read more

This place has excellent food. This was our second time here, we called ahead and got a reservation, since it was a Friday night. We arrive, seated quickly, the table was in the middle of isle, the table was wobbly so we asked to move to a 4 top that wasn't being occupied. The hostess moved us, then Daniella who has worked there for 30+ years stopped by our table asking why we moved and told us we shouldn't be sitting there! How rude, she set the tone for the rest of our visit. We continued noticing her mistreat her hostess and shadow them as they cleaned and set tables, she seems very hard to please. The food was great, bar was really slow, we would've ordered more drinks but they were so slow we could only have 2. Our server was very apologetic for the behaviors we had to deal with as paying customers. Makes us hesitate return after this experience. My wife and I dined at Brooklyn Bridge on a Friday evening and it was a wonderful experience. We arrived a little early and we seated shortly afterwards, once they got our table ready. We ordered the Antipasti Sampler as our appetizer. It was HUGE and each item was delicious - calamari, caprese salad, and spinach artichoke dip. The sampler is really too much for two people, but we enjoyed it nonetheless! For the entre, my wife ordered Filetto e Gamberi Fernando (filet, shrimp in a cream sauce over angel hair pasta) and I ordered the Shrimp fra Diavolo (shrimp in a white wine marinara over fettuccine pasta). Both were generous portions and were delicious. The sauces wonderfully complimented the meats in each dish. For dessert, we ordered the Chef's Dessert and on this occasion it was triple chocolate cheese cake. We boxed this up and took it home to enjoy later - and it was delizioso! Service was great which made the overall experience very, very nice. We questioned why we don't go to Brooklyn Bridge more often because it is about 5 minutes from our house and we have always enjoyed our visit whenever we go. BB has some of the best ambiance I've seen in a restaurant. Our server was very well-informed and friendly. The ambiance and service are the reasons they get 3 stars. The food was overpriced and extremely bland. I've never had a Caesar salad that was bland. If you have high blood pressure, this restaurant vis great for you because they do not add salt to anything. The Shrimo stuffed mushrooms were delicious. I had the Veal marsala, and it was pretty good along with the Insala Caprese. Everything else was bland. read more

We have eaten at this establishment several times, but tonight was one of the most horrific experiences I have ever had. We got there 15 mins prior to our reservation and they made us wait until exactly our time to be seated when there were several tables open. After we were seated, we waited 15 mins and had to ask for someone to come get our drinks. We should have left, but stuck it out because it couldn't possibly get worse, but it did. We waited for over an hour and 45 mins for our food and it came out burnt and our party of 5 was underwhelm. Needless to say we Will NOT ever go back to this place and we won't ever recommend this place. The worse thing is that we were there to celebrate my birthday on the day of my actual birthday and the service was horrendous. We never saw our waitress again and no one from management ever came by to check on our table. If I could give this a negative 10 rating I would. Just terrible! So sad this family establishment has allowed the service and experience to be below pond scum. read more

The food is always fantastic. The service and staff, however, are not very welcoming. We never feel like we are wanted. It always seems like they are trying to talk us out of coming. (IE - telling us on the phone at 745p that they close at 830p so we might have 5-10 min to order). On a Saturday night! Two other things that were "off" last night but didn't affect my 2* review were the fact that we asked for bread and 30 min later when we asked again, they were out. The other is that the lights went out and we literally had to finish our meal in the dark using cell phones for light. read more

This place is crazy beautiful, but also crazy expensive. It's the kind of place I would probably want to go for a super fancy date or a large group and split everything. I am glad I came with a group so I could try a couple of different things but I don't think family style would work as well with the portions. For the price, the portions seemed kind of small. The ceiling decorations made it feel like we were eating in a vineyard and the rest of the decor has a romantic atmosphere. I found I liked the penne with vodka sauce and found myself craving it this past week when I was in another Italian place. I would come back here and get my fix! My husband and I had dinner last night at Brooklyn Bridge. We were a little disappointed with the service and food. We were sat at 7:30. We ordered garlic bread and clams to start. It took almost one hour to arrive. We said something to the server, her response was "I can't control how long it takes to come out of the kitchen ". Wow we almost fell off our chairs being in the hospitality business. There was no I'm so sorry let me check on it! Nothing. Well anyways the clams and garlic bread were very good. Positive note. We both ordered the chicken piccata. I can't recommend that dish as it was sooo over the top lemony and the chicken was not pounded thin. Just thick pieces of chicken. I don't think we will be returning to this restaurant. read more
