I'm happy to be rid of this place and I wouldn't recommend it. If you do decide live here, be prepared to have all of your deposit taken for normal wear and tear (small holes from hanging pictures, being charged for "trash removal" when the place was left empty, carpet cleaning after only being there less than 6mo)..... thieves. Shame on you Lindsay. And no, I don't need your reply to "contact us so we can discuss any issues I may have".

Charged Over $600 for Painting Despite Clean Move-Out - Hoping to Connect With Others…read more I moved out of Montessa Apartments (Unit #235) in March 2025 after about 14 months of living there. I left the unit clean and in good condition, with only minor marks on the walls consistent with normal use. A few weeks after move-out, I received an invoice totaling $1,565.85, which included: $421.16 for prorated paint costs (based on a 36-month depreciation formula) $214.30 for 16 hours of labor for painting Management provided move-out photos to justify the charges. However, the walls appear clean in the photos, and there's no visible damage or markings that would reasonably require a full repaint -- certainly not 10 gallons or 16 hours of labor. Under California Civil Code §1950.5, landlords cannot deduct from a security deposit for normal wear and tear. Based on the condition of the unit and the documentation I received, I believe these charges are excessive and unfair. I've shared a collage of the move-out photos and would be happy to provide more details if anyone else had a similar experience. If you are a former tenant of Montessa and were charged for repainting or move-out fees that don't reflect actual damage, feel free to reach out. You can email me at nuoshi430@gmail.com. I'm trying to understand if this is a broader issue and whether there are steps we can take together. This review is intended to raise awareness for future renters and help connect those who may be going through the same situation.

Literally the WORST rental experience we've ever had. The apartment we moved into was disgusting (I…read morewas vacuuming up the old tenant's dog hair until the day we moved out) and the place stunk of old dog (we don't have a dog, lol). I asked management for help multiple times on this and they sent someone out to basically spray scented cleaning solution and vacuum. The carpets should have been replaced before move-in and the overall living experience her was unsanitary and really overpriced for what it is (dark, dingy, cheap finishes). We also had bees coming INTO our apartment (with all doors and windows closed) through the ventilation. Our cat had to go to the emergency vet because she got stung, and our entire family had to sleep in the living room to avoid the bees (yes, with all of the doors and windows closed). It was almost a week before the management sent someone out to investigate (oh, and the management did nothing). The management (specifically Antionette and Stephen) are rude, unprofessional, and truly do not care about the tenants' experiences whatsoever. They mailed our deposit return check late (after the deadline in CA) for 16% of the total deposit we paid even though we took care of the place (and it was disgusting on move-in). This place looks nice on the internet, but in real life is HORRIBLE. The issues I'm describing here are the tip of the iceberg... it was honestly the worst living situation we've ever been in.

It is so low that you can barely rinse off soap or shampoo properly. Water pressure in the kitchen tab is also low and even really difficult to flush the toilet properly and for the second shot you need to wait for a little more time for toilet tank to fill up with water. No sense of you are feeling relax in your bathrom.

Love calling Cyrene at Meadowlands home! I moved into Cyrene…read moreat Meadowlands back in October 2025, and it has truly been one of the best living experiences I've had. From the moment I started the leasing process, I knew this was going to be a great place to call home. I have to give a huge shoutout to the leasing manager, Crystalle -- she has been absolutely amazing since day one. She made the entire move-in process smooth and stress-free, answered every question I had with patience and a smile, and has continued to go above and beyond to make sure I feel comfortable and taken care of. It's rare to find someone in property management who genuinely cares about their residents, and Crystalle is exactly that person. The community itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and has such a welcoming atmosphere. I love coming home every day. Lincoln is a wonderful area, and Cyrene at Meadowlands fits right in with everything that makes this city so great. If you're looking for a place to live in Lincoln, CA, I can't recommend Cyrene at Meadowlands enough. And if you stop by the leasing office, ask for Crystalle -- you'll be in great hands!

Congratulations to Cyrene at Meadowland in Lincoln.
