I had an overall good experience with Valley Appliances. ORHP assigned them to install the washer they finally agreed to replace and to haul away the old one. My appointment window was from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., but unfortunately no one arrived during that window and I didn't receive a call or update letting me know they were running behind. They ultimately arrived around 2:35 p.m. I completely understand that previous jobs can take longer than expected, and you can't leave a job unfinished just because you have another appointment. However, I would have really appreciated a quick call once they knew they weren't going to make the scheduled window. I had errands planned for the day and could have gotten some of them done instead of waiting at home. That said, once they arrived, the experience was great. Both installers were very nice, professional, and incredibly efficient. They had the new washer installed in about 25 minutes. Before leaving, they made sure it filled properly, went through a spin cycle, and checked for leaks. Overall, the installation itself was quick and easy, and I'm happy with the work. Better communication about delays would have made this a five-star experience. read more

Very disappointing experience. In my opinion, this company seems more focused on finding reasons for a warranty claim to be denied than on accurately diagnosing the actual problem. They came out to inspect my refrigerator after it stopped cooling properly. The rear fan motor had failed, preventing proper airflow and cooling. Instead of identifying the failed fan as the primary issue, they reported that the refrigerator wasn't cooling because it was located in my garage. The refrigerator is approximately 20 years old, and components eventually fail. My garage is also insulated, and I have another refrigerator and freezer operating in the same garage without any issues. What bothered me most was that their report seemed based more on assumption and opinion than on the actual failed component. Their conclusion contributed to my warranty claim being denied, even though the fan motor was clearly not working. I ultimately received a refund from my warranty company, purchased the replacement fan myself, installed it, and the refrigerator is working again. That outcome speaks for itself. It's also concerning when a service company is paid for the warranty visit, yet could potentially benefit again if the warranty claim is denied and the customer then pays them directly for the repair. That creates an experience that, from a customer's perspective, feels like the incentives are working against getting the claim approved. Poor service, poor judgment, and a diagnosis that did not match the actual repair that solved the problem. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Valley was dispatched through American Home Shield, like many others in the review section here the service awful. The door handle on my refrigerator came off and needed to be replaced or re-bolted. The technician that arrived was not friendly whatsoever, he did not ask any questions and proceeded with his inspection. After a few minutes the tech said okay, i will order new hardware and will arrive in a few days. It had been 2 weeks and I did not hear any follow up this contractor or American Home Shield. I reach out and learned that the claim was denied due to excessive force, this was the diagnosis by this contract which is why American Home Shield denied the claim. I believe Valley Appliances was not able to source the hardware and or they did not have the expertise to fix or replace the door handle. If you are an American Home Shield user and are dispatched this company ask for another company, if you are personally searching for a company for your home repair search else where. Forty-seven days and counting, and my Cove dishwasher still isn't fixed. The repair delay is bad enough, but the real problem is how this company treats customers who call in. Every attempt to get a status update is a chore. Today I was told to call back in 30 minutes. When I did, I was greeted with an audible "oh, you again" -- and still no real update, just "they're testing it." I asked whether the parts had finally come in. Yes. I asked if someone would call me when the repair was done. Her answer: "I'll call back if I have an update. You can call me back." When I pointed out it had been 47 days, her response was: "Well, look, nobody is going to die here." That one line says everything about the culture at this company. No ownership, no follow-up, no apology -- just annoyance that a paying customer had the nerve to ask a question. I don't expect miracles on parts availability. I do expect someone to pick up the phone and treat me like a human being. So today I call back again (this is the 17th call I've had to make requesting information on what's going on). Bad customer and technical services. My washer stops during the first cycle. The first company that came to assess it was great. They told me the problem but said they couldn't do it because they didn't have the part at the moment and it's a two man job. So I asked my home warranty to help me and they sent Valley Appliances. Valley diagnosed it as a different issue (something stuck in the filter) and told me it would work now that he removed the item. Wrong. It's been a week since the technician looked at my washer and the second time I tried to do a load of laundry. It's not working. What made it worse is that the technician sat on the floor most of the time looking at his phone while running rinse cycles on my washer. Also, he gave me a blank document to sign after he completed the service. When I told him I won't sign a blank document he wrote that the issue was due to an item stuck in the washer. When I spoke to my home warranty company they told me that Valley reported it as a burnt out washer. Valley Appliance communicates poorly with their customers whether it's an individual or company. You know Old Republic's a quality home warranty company when the first two technicians they sent have a stellar 1.0 and 2.0 star rating on Yelp. Valley Appliances, congrats, you were very generously rated a 2.0 star, so you're just slightly better scam artists than the other company they deployed. Let's talk about how incompetent Valley Appliances was. The first technician actually tried to mansplain to me how to load the dishwasher. Yes, clearly it was the placement of a single small bowl on the bottom rack that caused gallons of water to leak into my living room. Please, use your brain next time. After the visit and after doing literally NOTHING, Valley Appliances tried to close the case out with Old Republic and claimed that our dishwasher was fixed. Spoiler: it wasn't. When I texted and called them, they completely ghosted me. Their voicemail box was also full. Despite numerous attempts to reach out to them, all I got was silence. According to the home warranty company (who also sucks, but that's a story for a different day), Valley Appliances ghosted them too. If you want sloppy repairs and dishonest technicians, Valley is your go-to. However, if you want to actually have your appliances fixed, please go and find a 4 or 5 star company that isn't making money by simply scamming people. read more

1 Star -- Poor service and unprofessional customer treatment Valley Appliances was assigned through American Home Shield to repair my washing machine, which had two issues: a broken agitator cycle and a leak. The technician arrived and was only at my home for approximately 20-25 minutes. He repaired the agitator and then told me that he had fixed the leak as well. Later that afternoon, I ran a load of laundry and discovered that the washer was still leaking. The leak had not been repaired. I contacted American Home Shield to have Valley Appliances dispatched again. During the initial visit, I also submitted a one-star review through American Home Shield explaining that the leak was not fixed and that I had concerns with the technician's professionalism. During the service visit, I briefly went upstairs to take a shower. While I was upstairs, the technician began aggressively ringing my doorbell and yelling from the front door. When I came downstairs, he simply stated, "I'm done." When I asked if the leak was fixed, he said yes and left. Unfortunately, that turned out not to be accurate. I was scheduled for a return visit today and even called Valley Appliances at 10:06 AM to confirm that the appointment was still scheduled. I received no call back or notification that anything had changed. When I later called during the scheduled service window, I was told the claim had been denied. When I asked why nobody had contacted me to inform me that the appointment was canceled, the response I received was that because I had given them a one-star review and "didn't know how to treat people," this was how I deserved to being treated. A company should be able to accept customer feedback and address concerns professionally. Canceling or refusing service because a customer left an honest review is extremely disappointing. The original repair was incomplete, communication was poor, and the interaction afterward was unprofessional. I would not recommend Valley Appliances based on my experience. read more

First thing's first: the techs were nice but if I could give this place -10 stars I would. Valley Services (also known as Valley Appliances) is the worst company I've ever dealt with in my entire life. I've never seen, heard, or interacted with a more petty or unprofessional company in my life. I've never been lied to (stay tuned I have receipts) or actually had a company gaslight me until Valley Services. I'd like to start with how they don't have an address on their invoices, only a phone number (that they may or may not answer) and a Gmail address. Also, since I'm sure they're going to reply to my review because it will be negative, I'd like to point something out first. If you check out the other reviews on Yelp, majority are negative (but each one comes with an incredibly unprofessional reply from the company) Buckle up and we'll get started. On July 11 my washer stopped working. I called my warranty company (which is a whole other negative review but I digress) My warranty company assigned Valley Services to my washer problem. It was a Friday. They couldn't come until Tuesday 7/15. Fine ok. The tech comes, does his diagnostics, and says he needs to order parts. Parts should only take a few days he says. I called 7/17, 7/18, and 7/21. First off, it is always the same woman answering the phone. I don't know her name because she will never give it when answering the phone. I don't know what her job is at this time but she's always short and condescending with me. Parts don't come in until 7/22 and they make an appointment for 7/23. Tech comes and replaces the parts (good luck having them tell you which parts they are ordering). July 30 I call again because the washer doesn't work again. Same problem (the problem has always been that it won't finish a cycle so I'm left with my clothes sitting in soapy water). I am in the middle of wringing out my soapy clothes so I put the phone on speaker and place it on top of the dryer so I can wring out the clothes and throw them right into the dryer. I am beyond frustrated and I am arguing with her about how it is not the outlet (she told me the washer is fine and that the tech said it could be the outlet) and that it is the washer and I need it fixed immediately. They replaced parts and it STILL doesn't work. She tells me to stop yelling at her. I said that I am not yelling (though I wanted to and I wanted to cuss but I know I am at a disadvantage) but that she is on speaker phone because I'm in the middle of wringing out my soaking wet clothes. She then says and I quote "I am not on speaker phone! You are yelling at me!" "You are absolutely on speaker phone because I need both hands for my practically ruined clothes because you guys did shoddy work," I said. "I am not on speaker phone! Should I send you a screenshot of me not on speaker phone?!" It was at that point I realized she was certifiable and I no longer wanted to deal with her. I asked to speak with a manager or her supervisor and she told me "He isn't available. There is no one for you to talk to." And she hung up. "HE isn't available" is important for later. This is where it gets good. I go through my warranty again so Valley Services have to come out again. They can't come until August 8. Tech comes and has to order more parts. "It should only take a few days." I call on August 12. The same woman answers the phone. She tells me "the parts are supposed to come in tomorrow so let's make an appointment for you." I make the appointment for August 13 from 10am to 1pm. Fine. But the parts hadn't come in yet so I'm left in the dark on whether or not they came in on time. So I call August 13 at 0843, 0850, 0902, and at 0911 when she FINALLY answers the phone (they open at 8am fyi). She answers and I explain that I have an appointment for today between 10 and 1 but I just want to make sure the parts came in. In her nasty tone, she tells me "We would not make an appointment if the parts were not in." Um what? I said "ok but you did make the appointment yesterday when I talked to you and the parts weren't in yet so this isn't unreasonable for me to call today to want to know if they parts actually came in." Here's where we enter the Twilight Zone. She says "I did not make the appointment. I am the manager and I only answer phones when my coworker cannot. That was not me." You? You are the manager? You told me in July that the manager was a HE. Also she has a distinct voice, one that after this traumatic ordeal I will never forget so I know it was her but I've learned over the years that you cannot argue with crazy so I move on. The parts are in and the tech should be at my house soon. More parts are replaced and September 5 my washer dies mid cycle again. Tech comes out and tells me the washer should be replaced because there's nothing left for him to do. Great. Horrible experience. The tech doesn't troubleshoot your appliance. The lady on the phone is the worst. Absolutely no care or willingness to find the issue with the appliance or providing customer service. The tech came, did a 9 min visit stating that the appliance was fine, that there was nothing wrong with it. He left and the appliance leaked into my laundry room and my wall downstairs causing water damage. Now I have water damage in my walls and a bill for water mitigation and reconstruction from the contractor thanks to this company. This company works with home warranty companies. Guy never touched my washing machine, never ran a cycle just took pictures. Made me sign a copy of the work order and the description is blank. 2-18-2026 DO NOT USE. HORRIBLE. I had a claim for two appliance problems. A GE Monogram cook top with an ignitor problem and a Bosch wall oven not heating to temp. Valley Appliances was sent by First American Home Warranty. The technician, Stephan, or what ever his real name is, was the technician. He is not qualified to diagnose if the sky is blue on a sunny day. He had to call someone and speak in a foreign language very quietly while he was looking under my cook top range. He only turned the burners on and off, on the cook top range. I showed him two videos of the ignitor problem and told him it was intermittent. If the front burner was on the back left burner would start sparking and trying to ignite the burner. The back left control knob was in the off position. He did not check the spark ignitors or get past the top burner cover to even look at the ignitor or air ports. I told him i Had contacted GE and they diagnosed the problem as being a "spark Module" failure. GE stated that it could be an intermittent problem caused by the spark module. Stephen wrote a report to the Home Warranty co. stating there was no problem with the cook top range. He did not inform Home Warranty that I had shown him two videos of the ignitor problem. I had asked Stephen if he agreed with GE diagnosis that it was a Spark Module failure. He stated "Yes". I have it on video. It went the same with the Bosch Wall Oven. He just put a temp sensor in and said it was working fine. His report to the Home Warranty Co. stated oven was working properly. A Bosch certified technician diagnosed the problem as a failing Temperature sensor. I stated to Stephan that a Bosch Technician stated it was a failing Temperature sensor. I asked Stephan if he agreed. He said "Yes". On video. A GE certified technician came to my house. He was able to duplicate the cook top range ignitor problem within 5 minutes. Where the left back burner would spark when control was not on but the front right burner was on and working. Diagnosed the problem as a bad "Spark Module". Valley Appliances Technicians are just unqualified people who are in the business of helping Home Warranty companies deny claims. They are not qualified and will lie and deceive on their reports to the Home Warranty Companies. All While they charged me $190.00 for the service call. Two charges, one for each appliance. This is FRAUD AND INCOMPETENCE. It is now going to cost me $467.00 to have a certified competent GE technician to fix the cook top problem. Valley Appliances and First American Home Warranty will not even reimburse the $190.00 service call fee. STAY AWAY FROM VALLEY APPLIANCE. They also have a bad reputation amongst other repair technicians in Las Vegas area. Will be filing a better business bureau complaint on Valley Appliances and First American Home Warranty Co. read more

On July 1, this was confirmed as well by Megan, the office staff, and that they're just waiting for the parts to come in. On July 8, we reached out to Megan and were informed that the technician refused to move forward with repairing the washer and gave NO reason! Valley Appliance has been reported to AHS to remove them from their list of appliance contractors due to their incompetence and their refusal to provide a valid reason why they do not want to proceed in repairing our washer. It's no wonder this contractor has only 2 stars in Yelp. Part 1. Glad I had not read the reviews because like several posters, my experience was great. The scheduler called to schedule work for my dishwasher. We had found a leak at the back of the dishwasher and Ace not only saw "our" leak but professionally diagnosed the dishwasher and found a second leak! He fixed the original leak and advised I had a second leak that needed a part he had to order. He asked me not to use it until he came back to install the part. He said he thought the return would be near the end of next week. I had asked the scheduler to have Ace call when he was 30 minutes away, but she called for him. She advised that he was about 30 minutes away. Ace was actually 40 minutes away, but no big deal. I saw he was in his own car and wondered about it, again, no big deal. I found Ace to be polite, professional, personable and neat. I will only post Part 2 if there is a problem, but I doubt that will happen. At this point, I would use Ace again. read more

Kris misgendered my wife 5 times. The 5th time happened right after she asked him to use the correct pronoun. He also didn't place the back feet of our dishwasher all the way down when we requested him to, and didn't ensure that it was level from front to back. I called the company to send someone else, and yes I was heated and said the F word once, and was told another person would be out. I left a review with American Home Shield, then got a call a from Valley Appliances saying they canceled the 2nd person due to that review. Ace came out and diagnosed the problem in about 10 mins. One week later the part arrived and they fixed the burner in again about 10 mins. Very straightforward and easy. Our built-in microwave stopped working and we were connected with this company through our home warranty company, American Home Shield. A technician came out and couldn't get it working so they took our microwave to their facility. We didn't hear back from them for WEEKS. Had to call repeatedly just to get the update that they had ordered the parts but it was on back order and they did not know when they would even get it in. Fine. Would've been nice to be informed of that but understandable. When the microwave was finally returned over a month after our initial appointment, IT WAS RETURNED BEAT-UP, DIRTY, AND MISSING PARTS!!! At least one of the filters was gone and the light bulbs were broken. They fixed the original problem in an untimely manner and left us with more problems than we began with. AHS (American Home Shield) sent Valley Appliance Services to check my dryer, and the whole experience was extremely frustrating. The technician said the problem was with the filter and that it needed to be replaced. But when I looked at the filter, it was clear there was nothing wrong -- it looked perfectly fine with no signs of damage. I tried several times to speak with the office and technician to better understand the issue and the next steps. The office refused to provide any details and kept repeating that the filter was not covered under the warranty, without offering any real explanation. They completely shut down any attempt to have a reasonable conversation. Since I wasn't getting anywhere, I purchased a new filter myself and replaced it -- but the problem still remained. I finally requested a second opinion from AHS. The second company correctly diagnosed the issue: the problem wasn't the filter, but the filter holder inside the dryer, which was damaged due to internal heat and not due to any abuse or misuse. That was the real source of the problem from the beginning. Very disappointed with Valley Appliance Services -- poor communication, wrong diagnosis, and no willingness to help resolve the issue properly. I would not recommend using this company. read more

As all of the other terrible reviews mention, American Home Shield is the reason this company came to my home in the first place. They can also thank Maggie and this company for the reason that after 13 years they are losing my business. AHS sends this company my information and they cannot come to my home for 3 days! He spends 11 minutes in my home and tells my husband he will send the report to AMS that day and once they approve he will be back. He does not. All weekend AHS states there is no report. Monday morning there is still no report. I call this company and much to my dismay I get the displeasure of speaking to Maggie. She is rude and unhelpful. She tells me the tech that came on friday did not have time to send this report and when I told her that I have been without a refrigerator for a week now and I had to toss all of our food due to spoilage her response was "Were you going to pay my overtime? I don't think so". She hung up on me telling me I was patronizing her and in less than 10 minutes AHS sends me a text saying they received her report and my appliance is not covered due to damage. Joke right? There is no damage to my refrigerator other than the fact the condenser fan stopped working. The refrigerator is 4 years old and looks fabulous. These things happen and this is why you have an appliance warranty. If this appliance could not be fixed in a week I can hardly imagine this company being able to fix their way out of a paper bag. Do not allow AHS to send these people to your home. I doubt they plan on fixing anything. Contractor is not qualified to diagnose and repair appliances. He was diagnosing an appliance with claims that his is approved by Subzero but is not an authorized technician by the manufacturer. He caused more damage to the appliance and left the home in disarray. It has been two months and he has not completed any work. An authorized technician stated that the appliance is not missing any parts that Valley Appliance claims but they are not qualified or have the experience to know that. I will never use this contractor again and would warn any other person looking for appliance repairs to be aware and stay away. If I could give negative stars I would. This company is by far THE worst and of course, it's the only company our rental company uses. We've lived in this house 5.5 years, our dishwasher has never worked it doesn't cycle and it doesn't drain, our fridge leaks, our washing machine has flooded our second story on several occasions, our dryer LITERALLY CATCHES OUR CLOTHES ON FIRE if heat function is on... we use it for the air fluff feature only. We've never washed a single dish in the dishwasher. Our fridge leaks an orange liquid from freezer to fridge and will flood the entirety of the inside of the fridge so we leave tupperware bowls on both sides to catch both leaking components. Upon resigning our lease for the past year we asked for them to replace all 4 appliances, they agreed and sent out Valley Appliances for the man to show up for LESS THAN 10 MINUTES, he turned the dishwasher dial and said it works -- it doesn't the appliance turns on but it doesn't cycle through its cycles and the water doesn't drain ANYWHERE once in use we have to use cups to scoop out water which we had to do upon his departure, he opened the doors of the fridge and said it works, the washer he opened the top and said it turns on and then they neglected to even look into the dryer altogether. Then he has the audacity to ask us to sign a work order sheet that says "DiFr" on the sheet and when asked what on earth we are signing he said "everything works I checked" and we argued with him because for 5.5 years we've had the same issues with each appliance and he said "but they all turn on", it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that just because an appliance turns on or is plugged in by no means does it actually work or perform it's job?! Then when he kept insisting we had to sign the work order when we refused because we knew the appliances didn't work, we kept telling him these are supposed to be replaced so what does DiFr mean on the sheet you want me to sign? He said that's because "the dishwasher just needs to defrost". And we looked at him and said "THE DISHWASHER ?!?!" and he said "yes, I checked everything it turns on i'm done". I've called the company 9 times in the past 2 weeks since he was at our house, 7 of those calls were met with a Full Voicemail and no answer during their operating hours, they called me once before operating hours and left no voicemail I just unfortunately recognize the number from calling so often and so I called back that day at 2pm and got no answer so today I called again and to my surprise actually got a response from someone who clearly loves their job..... just for her to tell me "there's no work order open for our house because it was completed" and when I asked "how on earth was it completed if he did nothing?" she said "I dont know but it's out of network now so I can't help you". WOW SO KIND. thank god we didn't pay anything because this company is clearly a scam!! they provide zero service and zero value, you're better off finding a man on the side of the street to help you than calling this company. read more

They were sent from home warranty company, did not do anything. They were suppose to check my washer to see if it can be repaired, they did 0 diagnostics, did not even touch machine. They didn't turn it on or anything. Told my warranty company it's just dirty and normal wear. Had to get a second opinion before buying a new washer and the new company listened to my concerns, turned machine on and assessed it, then was able to diagnose it with damaged suspension and scheduled me right away for repair, he said it was very clearly broken and in no way normal wear/tear. He said the issue is also very common with Samsung top loads so for this company to not even check for that and tell the warranty company nothing is wrong with it, on top of not even touching the machine is insane. For any one who got their warranty claim denied by using them definitely get a second opinion ! Side note they called me saying no one was coming to the door and they were waiting outside, we were standing at the front door and no one was there, they they later called back and said the technician was actually not even in the neighborhood yet, just very weird overall I don't trust anything about this company. read more

If I could give this company a zero I would. please read other reviews and believe them because this Company is far from being the best at repairs. Never trust a company who's technicians drve their own personal vehicles ( no work truck). Office personnel are rude and will never take responsibility for their technicians mistakes. This company was chosen by my home warranty contract to repair my dishwasher at home. From the time They did not assign a technician until 5 business days after my initial call asking for an appointment. After the job was performed, I had to call everyday to ask for the technician's report. When I the company's phone number, it goes directly to a voicemail, I leave a message asking for a return call. They never returned my call. Finally, when I called and someone answers the phone, the representative (Maggie), told me it takes up to a week to get a report from the technician who did the work, which I consider absolutely absurd and ridiculous since most companies give the customer a job completion/description report within 24 hours. Then, Maggie told me that she is waiting for the home warranty company to give her a call, which is the opposite of what the home warranty company told me. The home warranty company waits for the repair company's report so they can order the replacement dishwasher since it was not repairable. This shows that either the representative Maggie is incompetent, not knowledgeable, or simply does not care about the customer. read more
