I had already spoken to Chris about the price and fixed that. Originally I was told that they smoked my car for 2 hours. The oil filler cap was broken so they replaced it . Took it home and the next day the car still had the same problem . I told them that it might be a hose on the passenger side since im a mechanic myself and have experience just no actual time to work on the damn thing. I decided to smoke the car myself , and found the problem 5 minutes into smoking the damn thing. I called back and asked what they did to my car. The owner said they smoked the car through the oil filler cap on the engine for an hour now instead of two and found no leak. That when they took off the cap they saw it was broken so decided that was the problem. Idk what they did but I know they screwed me for 250 dollars . They didn't smoke the car, they looked at the cap and assumed that was the problem . I found the hose I had told them was the issue to be broken and causing the leak. Called them to ask if they can help me find one and to help me out with price and it's like the owner doesn't understand English after I told him like 5 times which hose it was . After I told him he doesn't listen he decided to tell me he wasn't going to help me anymore . This place is trash and so are the people that work here . I trusted them off a recommendation and will never be doing that again . They probably only care about their own stuff but not mine . We went online and the 1st mobile mechanic we called told us he wasn't taking new clients and didn't even let us explain what we needed. The second one we called was Perez and Son's Garage and the owner answered and told us he had a lot of work on Saturday, mind you we called him at 6 pm, but that he could help us the next day on Sunday in the morning. We were really happy that he could help us on a Sunday and on Memorial Day weekend. The owner was very communicative the next day and gave us a time but unfortunately his mechanic could not go but since he made the commitment he assured us he would help us himself. He was very professional, took apart the truck to reach the alternator and even gave us a ride to go buy the part. He then applied the new alternator and made sure it worked for a while before he took off. He was very knowledgeable and explained how to monitor the truck on our way back home. Once he was done we traveled 8 hours home without complications and he called us the next day to make sure we had gotten home ok. We were very lucky to have contacted such a great mechanic and individual and we highly recommend his work.

They couldn't get the part they needed until the next day, so they only charged me an hour of labor (very good price, at least coming from CA it was) and for the part. They also threw in a quart of transmission fluid to top it off. The sign says it is under new management and possibly has new owners. All I know is that they have about 8 bays, 4 mechanics and the nice girl who handles all the transactions. That means they can work on a few cars at once (drain fluids from one and crack the head cover on another or whatever). A few constables came in while I was waiting which I thought was a food sign, and one girl came in with a cracked oil pan (not their fault although they did the last oil change) and was offered very good advice and taken care of as well. Bilingual which is probably common here. If I ever need work done in El Paso again they are my top choice. Now if I can only transplant the whole operation to Alameda they will get 6 stars.

Since then, J&S has worked on all of our cars, RVs and travel trailer. Stuart never says no...he tries to figure it out. If it is not something he does / can do, he tells you so and recommends a shop that does. His rates are more than fair and when he fixes something, it works. I also appreciate that he allows us to purchase the parts. We don't go anywhere else! Update Oct 3 2018 - He really goes above and beyond. The rear axle on our RV broke. The whole rear end had to be replaced. His friend was selling an RV with a similar rear end to ours. We bought it, had it towed to a friend's land. Stuart and crew removed the rear end and other parts, installed it, then modified the driveshaft. Once again she rides! Jun 2019-Since then, he replaced all the cylinders on my Chevy SSR. I bought it with the convertible top inop, joined an SSR forum, got step by step instructions w/photos on how to replace all the cylinders and he took it an ran with it. I now have a fully functional SSR convertible! He is also working on my husband's GMC Sierra.
