Great breakfast spot! Such nice service, quick food turnaround. Ambiance is mom & pop diner with a 50s "old fashioned" decoration vibe. Definitely casual, great for families, friends or going solo Could have better coffee, but it wasn't terrible.

My hubby and I drove in from Chicago and craved breakfast so we checked in. The service was excellent and the food was great.

Delicious breakfast, fried perfectly, comes to the table fresh from the kitchen, nice and hot. Service is excellent, family owned and are onsite. Looking forward to their lunch! Oh and its a cute neighborhood diner

Every time I have been here the food has been not only delicious but also very fast service and fresh food exactly what I look for in a food diner . Also there serving sizes are very reasonable for the price . Highly recommend one of the mango flavored ice cream things they have up front .!!

We live close so we thought we'd try this diner. Well never again. It was so hot and humid in the restaurant! I am always cold, well I was sweating it was so hot. Then they gave us our silverware and my spoon was super dirty (see photo). We were given water and told they are out of ice. We saw many more people come In and they were all given water with ice. When My husband asked if we could have ice we were told they were out. The food was okay. Not terrible and it was warm. But over priced for the quality. When we paid we paid in cash. They didn't have enough money in the register to give us our change. So we left.

Not open when they say they are

Both Apple Maps and google say they are open. The sign outside the door says they are open 7-3. Currently standing outside a locked door at 11:45.

Greasy country fried steak with under cooked hashbrowns and cold scrambled eggs.

Really good food for great price! Staff is also friendly! Laid back casual atmosphere. Often times busy but worth the wait.

My dinner was especially good....the chicken fried perfectly...all dark meat the way I like it. The potato salad was not what I expected but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm used to a mayo based potato salad but this was even better with lots of flavor! The corn was also delicious. Everyone was very happy with their dinners. The chicken and waffle dish was also good. Ratio of breading to chicken was perfect and perfectly seasoned. The honey butter that came with it was also delicious. The New Orleans shrimp bowl was great too. The ratio of shrimp, which was perfectly cooked, to rice was good. Lots of great flavor. I think that everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. The only "ding" would be the service. We had to ask for silverware so we could eat and had to wait for straws because she forgot. I'm still going to give it 5 stars even though the service was lacking a bit. She was very nice but seemed rushed.

Parking is a challenge. The restaurant's parking lot is much too small for a restaurant of this size, and because it's backed up against hotels, finding a spot meant parking farther away. I ordered the Carolina Summer Risotto (GF) for $21.95 because I love a good risotto, and with very limited gluten-free options, this seemed like the best choice. The menu describes it as saffron risotto with Cajun shrimp, tomato, asparagus, zucchini, squash, arugula, and lemon. What I received was a very small scoop--maybe 1/2 cup--of what tasted more like yellow, sticky rice with shrimp. There was no asparagus at all, and only a couple of small pieces of zucchini and squash cut into tiny chunks. It looked nothing like the photo on the menu. For nearly $22, I expected a much more substantial portion--not something that looked like a food-truck serving in a paper cup from the fair. My daughter ordered the 6-piece chicken strips with fries for $17, and thankfully, those were much better and very generous in portions. The chicken was very moist and, in her opinion, worth the price. The atmosphere was another issue. It was extremely loud, almost to the point where it was difficult to hear the person sitting across from you--even though the restaurant wasn't full. The waitstaff was friendly, which I appreciated, but unfortunately, the 'okay' entree food, portion size, noise level, and parking issues outweighed the positives.

We ordered the Minnesota Sampler, which included hot dish, chicken pot pie, and pot roast, giving us a nice variety of local favorites. The hot dish was our favorite of the three. It's hard to go wrong with a dish topped with crispy tater tots, and we really enjoyed it. The chicken pot pie and pot roast were decent, but they didn't stand out as much. One of the dishes included blue cheese, and its flavor was so strong that it overpowered the rest of the meal. Overall, the food was good and gave us a chance to try some regional specialties, but it wasn't a meal that really wowed us. It's worth a visit if you're looking to sample traditional Minnesota comfort food, but we didn't find it to be an exceptional dining experience.

The ceiling is decorated with mason jars, which gives the restaurant such a unique and charming feel. The restaurant was clean, the service was excellent, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. We came to try some Minnesota specialties, including the walleye. Unfortunately, the sauce served with it contains alcohol, so I wasn't able to have it. There wasn't an alternative sauce available, so I had the fish plain. I don't think that really did the walleye justice, so it wasn't my favorite dish. Some of the other items were also a bit hit-or-miss for my personal taste, but that's more about my preferences than the quality of the food. One thing we really loved was the adorable bakery and ice cream counter at the front of the restaurant. Grabbing ice cream before we left was the perfect ending to our meal. Overall, this is a beautiful restaurant with great service and a fun atmosphere. If you're looking to try Minnesota fare in a welcoming setting, I'd definitely recommend giving it a visit.

This time my mom and I went and we agreed, it's not quite the same, but still pretty tasty! When we first walked in, we were not greeted... rather the boy at the front said "why are you here?" We thought that was super strange and I asked "are you closing?" He said "no" and just stood there... We said "ok well can we get a table then?" And he said "oh sure, just pick one" Not a great start. However, our waitress was wonderful! I didn't get her name but she was an older woman with long black and white hair. She was so sweet and took very good care of our table! We got onion rings whichwere great! They had a crunch and the onions were done well! Im not sure if they were beer battered, but it tasted that way! They are served with a side of ketchup. My mom got the chicken dinner with a baked potato and coleslaw. She said it was all very good! She said it did taste different than years ago, but still very good! My boys and I got the thin crust half cheese half pepperoni pizza. Again not quite the same as what I remember but very tasty! This is a very greasy pizza which would probably taste amazing with a cold beer and a game on the tv!
