Broccoli & Carrots hiding a piece of Crappy Steak!

We stopped for a mid-afternoon cocktail and spied the Friday Night Prime Rib Special brightly advertised ever so boldly on the wall. I immediately planned a return trip for dinner despite thinking a rather odd Special for a Friday. Maybe a fish fry ...certainly not Prime Rib. So, as it turns out the Prime Rib set before my eyes was the complete opposite of my expectation of a tender, tasty succulent slab of meat. Bottom line...a razor thin slice of the nastiest seasoned, tough, disgustingly tasting piece of some fricken crap portrayed as "Meat."... absolutely the worst Prime Rib experience..."Ever". Did I mention that the Valley Inn picked my pocket for $24.99 for a Prime Rib Illusion? But I learned a valuable lesson to always go with your gut and never order a Prime Rib Special on a Friday Night! The Valley Inn breaks into the top 10 list for the "Crappiest Meal I have Ever Tasted"! I can only imagine what the Saturday Night Special might be...or not be!

Dog friendly on patio. Super nice staff.

Couple minutes off freeway. But worth it. Solid beer menu. Real food. Super nice staff. Cool indoors. If ur lame, go to Applebee's or Cracker Barrel and stay away. If ur cool, we'll see u here!

This ain't your father's Valley Inn. Gone the unlevel wooden floor. Gone the tripping hazard transition from the bar to the hastily added dining area. They took their sweet time rebuilding this place, and they did a great job. Dark wood, outside patio, and multiple flat screens are some of the improvements. So what? You just put a pretty dress on a pig. Wrong. The food has drastically changed. The menu is unique featuring deep fried bacon BLT, waffle fry nachos, bacon bbq ranch pizza, and more. But surprise, it's good too. Not the best bar food, but I'd give it a 7 out of 10. Beer selection also has changed. About 10 beers on tap, and only a couple are normal domestics. This place has changed, and for the better. I do miss the dive version, but that is really easy to recreate. Just go down to the nearby farm fields, roll around a while, and drink a Bud Light. I hope this place keeps the great beer selection and unique menu, and don't slack off the longer its open.

Ever had a thick slice of smoked prime rib? Valley Inn Ale House has an amazing prine rib dinner featured on Saturday nights.

The service has improved immensely. They have a new menu that has "horseshoes" on it. The back story behi d the horseshoe was pretty interesting. The actual horseshoe itself was delicious! There are several to choose from. I had the grilled pork tenderloin. It is an open face sandwich on a thick bread, your choice of meat, a pile of hand cut fries smothered in a cheese sauce thst is made in house. It was delicious and yes we paid with plastic. No more cash only!!

    Yum!

Chicken sandwich was pretty good. Onion rings were greasy. Service was very slow. Took forever to get the check.

The barbecue ribs required a chainsaw to separate. Sad, I really want to like this place.

Good food (wife and I split a Breaded Pork Tenderloin Sandwich), nice cold beer, and great service.

She was incredibly attentive and genuinely made our visit so much more enjoyable. It's always a treat when your food arrives nice and hot and yours certainly did. We tried a few different things from the menu. The "I Love PB Pancakes" were quite tasty, though we did notice the nutter butter cookies served alongside them seemed a stale. On the brighter side your avocado toast was a definite winner generous portions of fresh avocado which I actually ended up using some on my "Had a Crazy Night" burger and speaking of that burger, wow. It was cooked to perfection and had the most incredible flavor combination. Honestly that burger was the shining star of our meal and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting. We also tried the smoke and brisket skillet and later the brisket Mac and Cheese sandwich. While the smoke was good we found the brisket in both dishes a touch on the chewier side than we'd hoped for and for the Mac and Cheese it tasted a bit like it might have come from a pre packaged mix which didn't quite hit the mark for us. The side of tots were wonderfully crispy, but a dash more salt would have made them perfect. Overall, we had a really good time and we appreciate the care that clearly goes into your service and many of your dishes. We truly hope this feedback is helpful we think with just a few small tweaks those specific items could be as fantastic as your incredible burger. We'd definitely pop in again perhaps giving those brisket and Mac and Cheese dishes a pass next time around.
