Valley Isle Resort in Kahana. Having an early lunch on our balcony (5th floor)

Lovely lovely lovely. The property is beautiful despite a little bit of construction going on during our visit. The first night we were on the 12th floor and for the remainder of our trip (one week) we were on the 5th floor. Insanely gorgeous beachfront views and perfectly positioned to catch the gorgeous sunsets. The crashing waves are melodic and therapeutic, if it is too loud for you then adjust the sliding glass door accordingly or the curtain. I can't recall a time when we have slept better and more soundly. Both units had wifi, Beach stuff in the closets (sand toys, *snorkel equipment and boogie boards), washer and drier, two beautiful rooms with two beautiful full bathrooms with gorgeous and updated showers. One had a stove, one didn't but the one that didn't had a microwave which said it had a stove/bake option. We didn't stay long enough to figure it out and the management company wasn't sure about it. One of our favorite features of the complex was the little brushy pond area in the main corridor, where two turtles lived and we even saw a hefty frog in there. The kids and I would walk by daily hoping to see everyone. The folks at the front office were friendly and helpful. The beach was pleasant and never overly crowded (at least during our stay). Unfortunately it was too windy to have any success with the snorkeling on this beach but we definitely weren't complaining. *According to other reviews, not all units have beach supplies in the closet. Our first unit had most of everything and our second unit only had sand toys.

No beach at this resort due to beach erosion. There's giant sandbags in front of the water where there use to be a beach. Great ocean views and sunsets from the balcony. The pool is kind of small. Wish they had a jacuzzi. The rooms have all the necessities like fridge, microwave, stove, washer and dryer. Stayed in a one bedroom condo with a Murphy bed in the living room to sleep a total of 4 people. Good location as it is close to front street and there are plenty of local restaurants near by. Right across the street is Dollies and Miso Phat and a liquor store. Around the corner is a McDonald's. Lots of parking available.

5/23/2018 - Taken from our patio a half hour before sunset.

This location are all individually-owned condos ranging from studios to two bedrooms. Some units had their own washer and dryers. Valley Isle Resorts is located about 7 miles North of the main town of Lahaina. It's right on the beach front and every unit has a view of the ocean with a balcony. There is a pool, which we took advantage of during some evenings. We were in Room 909, which is a one-bedroom condo on the 9th floor. There is a queen bed in the bedroom and a Murphy's bed out in the living room. We ended up using the bedroom as storage space for our clothing, etc. and instead sleeping on the Murphy's bed. We enjoyed the fresh air coming through and the sound of the ocean as we relaxed in bed. There is no AC but it isn't needed. There was always a constant breeze and a ceiling fan. There was a small dining table, which I only used to fold laundry on. We ate all our meals out on the balcony. The kitchen is fully stocked. We cooked breakfast every morning to start our day. The breakfast restaurants all get very packed with long lines and wait times. We rather not have to deal with that. There is a garbage... errr.. rubbish chute down the hall on each floor, which is quite convenient. The recycling is on the bottom floor and items need to be separated. Overall, we were quite happy with our stay here. We met quite a few people from all over the world and it was an added bonus. Check-in was easy and staff here are very friendly and accomodating. As a side note, we went on zillow and one bedrooms units are selling for $525,000. Ick!

Stay at this place because of the location. Every unit has an ocean view. The beach is small but very nice and the water is warm with plenty of things to see when snorkeling. We enjoyed our stay. The view from our room made up for anything negative about the place. The resort has units that are privately owned and can be rented out through management companies and it also has units that are owned by timeshare companies - there are various ways to stay at this location. PROS: - During our stay the surf was calm enough for kids to safely swim and play. - The rooms have excellent views. Faces the west for sunset views. - Free onsite parking - Our unit had a washer/dryer (I bet most units have this) - Walking distance to restaurants and surf shops (where you can rent snorkeling gear etc) - Full kitchen with dishwasher in our room - Our unit slept 4 people (one bedroom unit with a queen bed in the bedroom and a murphy bed in the livingroom) - Friendly staff - Grounds are well-kept with a nice lawn area for children to play on CONS: - During our stay, the surf wasn't strong enough for boogie boarding or surfing. - Barely any amenities at the resort. During our stay they did not have chairs or umbrellas or beach toys to check out from the front desk, for example. - There used to be a gym but not any more - The elevator is finicky and broke twice during our stay - Balconies on high floors are a bit dangerous for children - Strong winds make a lot of noise coming through the building

Third condo in three years. Third time IS the charm!!! We're ready to book our vacation for next year in the exact same unit. THIS is what we've been looking for: location, views and simple amenities. Our unit (and the complex as a whole) is a bit dated, and the concrete block exterior isn't very appealing. But we both giggled when we opened the front door and saw the ocean, Molokai, and hardly anything else. We haven't had the doors and windows completely closed since we arrived a week ago. We peeked in other units and they look similar. We love the beach, have super easy access to Lahaina, Kapalua, Honolua and more, and are far more pleased than when we stayed at Black Rock. Full kitchen, washer and dryer, and a fine pool. They appear to be preparing to rebuild the reception area damaged in a fire, but the noise never bothered us. The ocean is THE thing, and this has it dialed in!

Perfect! Our Vacation Internationale condo was awesome. Very clean. The views are incredible, right on the beach. There was plenty of sandy beach while we were there July 01 2019. Even though there is not air conditioning, just know that if you open the patio doors and the front door( yes, there is a screen ) the breeze flows through. Keep the drapes closed during the mid day to keep the sun out. Pool is nice. Will definitely book a stay here again

Lamps were broken, dust was coating the walls in each of the two rooms we stayed in, the showers we not cleaned, the towels smelled like they washed dogs with them. When I say nothing was cleaned, I'm not exaggerating, everything was dirty. Fans were caked in dust, windows were coated in mildew and streaks, carpets were coming up in many places. Sheets were dirty, stained, and dressers were missing knobs and broken. What are people paying yearly for if it isn't upkeep of the rooms? The only saving grace?? Amber who does the booking for excursions. She is by far one of the nicest, funniest, amazing individual to book and find you the best excursion. Amber should get all the props for everything about this place. Let's also talk about the pool. The pool was great honestly but there is no security to help with only having it be resort guests only. Many locals come in and use it as well because people let them in or leave it unlocked. The jacuzzi at points was never warm and was filmy and nasty. This was my first time staying here and I was hoping for much better but it was a disappointment apart from Amber.

Communication throughout the process was poor, and we never felt that anyone took real ownership of the issue. The only compensation offered was a $50 resort credit, which did not reflect the inconvenience or the time we spent trying to resolve a problem that should never have existed. Beyond our room, both the villas and many of the common areas felt worn, dingy, and lacking the level of care we have come to expect from the Westin brand. The most disappointing aspect of our stay wasn't simply the condition of the property--it was the apparent lack of urgency and concern from management. We have always associated Westin with quality, service, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this experience fell well below those expectations. We hope management takes these concerns seriously because loyal owners and guests deserve much better.

At the recommendation of the front desk clerk Caroline and the MOD (Manager on Duty) Keith We decided to opt for the king bed and roll in "Heavenly" twin. Keith was very apologetic for the lack of requested accomodations but provided us with an upgraded ocean view room and The LĀNAI . This resort is 5 stars in all respects. The staff experience was exceptional. The food & beverage experience was outstanding. The resort is spotless clean and meticulously maintained. The pools and surrounding decks were large enough that we never felt crowded or had an issue finding chairs. The resort has a huge game area "Valley Alley" with a full bar and kitchen. Well appointed with the latest games including VR, air hickey and even bowling. The resort is conveniently located right next to Whalers Village. A short 3 minute walk. Our room was well appointed with all the ammenities that you would expect from the Westin brand. From thick bath towels and The Heavenly bedding to ice cold A/C. This resort has it all. Our experience was made even better by the exceptional and most sincere service provided by Miss. Giadee Kaiwi Hōkūpa'a Experience Coordinator. She made our visit that much better with her warm smile and pleasant attitude. A true ambassador to the Westin name.
