I know it may be odd to purchase a full meal at a gas station/liquor store, but don't pass this place up. I've had their burgers and chicken strips, but I've heard fantastic things about their (huge) breakfast burritos and sandwiches. This place is a liquor store, gas station and small sit down restaurant all combined into one. I came in as I saw some good reviews of the food on yelp. I ordered the Philadelphia cheesesteak and sat down. After sitting down I could smell this strong odor that smells exactly like those wafers that they put in the men's urinals so I moved a couple tables over. (Problem solved) the cheesesteak came with seasoned fries. I got to say the Sammy and fries were pretty good and actually rather inexpensive for the amount of food they serve you. I eat there a lot! They are a liquor store that offers cooked food. Prices are a little lower then other Los Osos, CA food places. The fry's are a little dry. but the sandwiches are good. I usually have to put a napkin in the bottom of the basket they are a little wet. Mushroom burger is great. The steak gets stuck in my teeth. The food is cooked fast no waiting. All the folks who work there always seem to be happy and know most of the people who come in. They are very busy at Lunch time. And thank everyone who comes in. The environment is just tables by a grill. So if you are there for good simple food and want it fast. Plus they sell Chevron gas and many the things you need if you are driving through. I love this place. It is a hidden gem in Los Osos. Very similar to Cork n Bottle in SLO, they have a full menu as well as a liquor store/market. The staff is super friendly and patient. With this being a gas station also there are a lot of tourists that we all have to deal with who apparently don't know how to handle paying for gas among other things. Anyway, I've been coming here for several years and their food has always been good. Some of the best seasoned french fries you can find. Yeah yeah, they don't hand form the burger patties, but everything else they do is super fresh. You can go in the mornings and watch them hand prepping every vegetable you'll eat here. The burger deal is super solid and my favorite is the Senorita with the pepper and pepper jack, you can't go wrong. The breakfast here though is definitely the best take out breakfast in Los Osos. With the burritos, altimas (burgers), and the muffins, this is your one quick stop in the morning to get your day going. read more

Yummy Jalapeño peppers, French fries were ok, burger was good, pastrami sandwich was good, grille cheese was excellent, philly cheese steak was ok. Each order comes with fries, so we had way too many fries left over. Atmosphere is a little unfriendly and the ordering is strange, as you stand in line with the gas/liquor customers. The lady behind me was very impatient and kinda rude with her huffing and puffing. But she was wanting her whiskey and I was unfamiliar with ordering. I've stopped going here for anything, reason being that the last few months the complete void of a "hello", or "thank you" has finally got on my nerves. Seriously, can't the cashiers do better than just mumble a price at you?! It's a small town, be a little more friendly guys. Your one of the reasons people leave town to spend elsewhere. I found out that Valley Liquor is one of the NO Mc Donalds supporters. If they think their food is so great, what are they afraid of? Oh ya, they don't like to give any customer service here. Too bad, because the gas station food is actually decent. Get with the program, and more of us will be back to do business guys. Attempting to pump up a low tire, grudgingly fed $1 in quarters into their machine which gladly took my money then refused to deliver the pressurized product. Seeking redress at the counter earned a shrug and advice to call the 1-800 number on the machine. Presumably the store earns some compensation for allowing shysters to vend air on their lot? If you are in need of a nice micro brew, you can always count on Vally Liquor to come through. They have a very nice beer & wine selection for a drive up liquor store/ gas station. I never really go here for gas, SLO and Morro Bay have it cheaper. However, I go here all the time for their food! I haven't ordered everything on the menu yet, but everything I have tried has never disappointed. The chicken strips are nice and crispy, never soggy or over-battered. The burgers are always juicy, and come with fries and a drink. I usually get the classic, but I've also had the garden burger and the barbecue one (I forget the name). My dad can't have a lot of salt, so he gets the classic with no salt on the burger or the fries. It's even good without salt! Sometimes you have to wait quite a bit, which is why only four stars. While I don't come here very often, I do happen to come here a lot when I'm in town visiting my parents. I love that they have a great selection of micro brews which I am a huge fan of. While I have never eaten here, my parents rave about how awesome the burger is, I'll have to try it some time. Every time I have been in, the service has been great and super friendly. Horrible customer service. Went there out of convenience to get beer and wine. When I asked for a bag the girl behind the counter tells me I have to pay extra for it. When I ask why, she mumbles something unintelligible about some local changes. Whatever. I see the adjacent food court and ask her if they have a menu.
