For a quick bite, this place is good. They have a lot of options on the menu. We tried the onion rings, Brussels sprouts and buffalo hot wings. The Brussels sprouts were DELICIOUS. The glaze used on them, is a great choice. The hot wings had plenty of sauce on them but they were just a tad dry. The onion rings were fried nicely. I tried the fried chicken sandwich and honestly it was filling but not my favorite. It didn't have enough seasoning to have any flavor or bite to it. My partner got the French Dip sandwich and the Au Ju broth tasted chalky & had a taste of too much onion powder. We also tried the shrimp and chips and I wouldn't order it again but it was fun to try. On another note, my sister got a steak and that was pretty good! You could see the dots of seasoning but that flavor wasn't there. It made me miss those MSG's. Brussels Sprouts were incredible. You have to pick from different culinary options. We picked sweet and savory I think. The honey, the bacon, the goat cheese and well cooked crisp brussel sprouts were incredible!!! The ahi tuna salad was packed with many tasty ingredients and the dressing that comes with it was amazing! Big salad, plenty of ingredients, lots of fresh ahi tuna. 5 stars. After finishing our meals we decided to pay the restrooms a visit and my oh my. Those things are falling apart. And the entire room had trash all over it. It was bad. Customer service was good but both cashiers were a little distracted. Nice people though. If you have any questions, they will answer them kindly. We chose to go to the Laguna Grill because it was convenient to the car dealerships, where my husband's brother was buying a car. We realized then that there aren't too many options in that area of town and since it was raining, we couldn't go to the new San Luis Ranch market, so the Laguna Grill is quick, easy and convenient option. I hadn't been there in a couple of years and it's had a really nice refresh. The interior is painted a nice deep terra-cotta color. There are lots of high tables in the middle and comfy booths all around the edge of the dining area. There's also a bar with a whole bunch of TVs so that you could watch the game there. The kitchen is open, so it is possible to watch them. cook your food. The bartender greeted us and bussed one of the booths for us wo that we could sit down immediately! There were three of us and the guys ordered a pastrami sandwich and a burger with tots, while I went for the sesame chicken salad, which I've had before and I'm happy to say it's much improved. The chicken was light and covered in sesame. The salads are in better bowls, an improvement since they used to have those woven bowls, The dressing was delicious and not too vinegary. served on the side. I also had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc wine, which was light and refreshing. We sat and chatted while the boys filled up on protein. My husband enjoyed his classic burger. Order at the counter, be seated and one's food is cheerfully delivered by the friendly and upbeat staff. I have visited Laguna Grill a couple of times now, and I'm ready to review. There were four of us during today's visit, a Saturday mid-afternoon. The place is huge, has a variety of sports on TVs around the room, and they were happy to turn on the Dodgers game for us. The milkshakes and slices of carrot & chocolate cake were scrumptious! The place is clean, and the bathrooms were fine. Service was mostly ok, considering you order at a counter and they call your number to come get it. They did bring the milkshakes to the table because they took a bit longer. The food was ok. The best thing was the battered fries, which were exquisitely crispy and delicious. The regular fries were ok. I ordered the French Dip, and the sandwich itself was just meh, very bland abd not much flavor in the meat. The dip helped, and together it was tasty. My wife's pizza looked like a microwave cheese pizza, cardboard crust, too much sauce and not enough cheese. The side salad, though, was excellent! Our companions shared a BBQ tri tip sandwich which they really enjoyed! All in all food was a mixed bag. My diet coke was awful, almost no syrup in it, but when I mentioned this to the fellow at the register, he immediately set out to fix it. I appreciated that speed. As many restaurants are experiencing these days, prices are high, about $20 per person for sandwich, side, & soda, and desserts add to that. I feel this place deserves more stars then it shows, their food is really good, hamburgers are really bomb. Their salads are good, but I wasn't a big fan of the wraps because their was barely any chicken/dressing in it, but definitely good salads. The cheese curds are super bomb also, the riblets are kind of hard sometimes (maybe over cooked?) but the flavor is amazing so we still buy them. My only issue would be the kimchi fries.. not sure if it's just a seasoning? But every time we order them (4 times now) it's always regular fries ' the chips & guac is amazing also, but they forgot our guacamole twice. The street dogs are bomb also. My family ordered takeout for dinner here and we were a little disappointed. My chicken caesar salad was good but my mom got a well-done mushroom avo burger and the meat was still raw. The food was ready shortly after the estimated pickup time but the milkshakes they started to make once we got there and they didn't really taste like anything?? We got 2 vanilla shakes with the "add brownie" option but they said they didn't have brownies as an option so I think that's a website/menu flaw? They were sweet and offered to give us chocolate cake to make up for it, but I didn't want to hassle them so we just stuck with our vanilla shakes. Terrible food We had a bacon cheeseburger with a side salad, and a Cali cheeseburger with tater tots. We also shared a poblano spinach dip. So many things went wrong here. The burgers were super dry and salty. They weren't appetizing in the least. The side salad seemed ok, but there were burnt croutons and there was a random piece of white hair of fur in it. Gross. The pablano spinach dip tasted fine, but the pita was hard as rocks - maybe this was intentional though. It was ok. The only thing actually remotely tasty was the tater tots, but it would take a lot to mess up tater tots. We had a sesame salad and a crispy chicken salad and an avo and shroom burger. The best of the bunch was the crispy Chicken salad with the buffalo sauce added. It was 50 cents to add the buffalo sauce, and they had a bottle of buffalo sauce to take to the table--a tad odd. But it was scrumptious! The bar was a problem. We ordered a couple of glasses of house red wine and that was $26. I guess in our home town paying $13 for a glass of ok wine is ok, but it felt excessive.
