    Sesame Chicken Salad

We chose to go to the Laguna Grill because it was convenient to the car dealerships, where my husband's brother was buying a car. We realized then that there aren't too many options in that area of town and since it was raining, we couldn't go to the new San Luis Ranch market, so the Laguna Grill is quick, easy and convenient option. I hadn't been there in a couple of years and it's had a really nice refresh. The interior is painted a nice deep terra-cotta color. There are lots of high tables in the middle and comfy booths all around the edge of the dining area. There's also a bar with a whole bunch of TVs so that you could watch the game there. The kitchen is open, so it is possible to watch them. cook your food. The bartender greeted us and bussed one of the booths for us wo that we could sit down immediately! There were three of us and the guys ordered a pastrami sandwich and a burger with tots, while I went for the sesame chicken salad, which I've had before and I'm happy to say it's much improved. The chicken was light and covered in sesame. The salads are in better bowls, an improvement since they used to have those woven bowls, The dressing was delicious and not too vinegary. served on the side. I also had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc wine, which was light and refreshing. We sat and chatted while the boys filled up on protein. My husband enjoyed his classic burger. My brother-in-law said the pastrami was a little bit dried out, and it doesn't look like a New York style pastrami with layers and layers of meat, but it apparently fueled him up enough that he was able to go out and buy a car later!

Nice sports bar & grill with plenty of seating options. There is a patio for outdoor dining as well. Sporting events playing on seventeen + TVs. Order at the counter, be seated and one's food is cheerfully delivered by the friendly and upbeat staff. We enjoyed two versions of their mushroom cheeseburgers that were generously sized and filled with plenty of ingredients. The burgers were excellent as was their beer battered fries.

I got the "seared ahi salad" with no wonton strips & substituted the dressing for Italian and it was presented beautifully, the ahi was SO good and the Italian dressing was exactly what I was looking for. Great dish & a great bar/grill!

Food was alright, probably the star of this meal were the pork and chips. I do recommend them Service was good, waiter always has an eye on our table and was attentive at keeping our drinks full. The ambiance was a bit too dark for me for an early dinner. I can understand for evening time with all the TVs on but would've liked it a bit brighter in there.

Need a sports bar fix? Laguna Grill in the Laguna shopping center in SLO has your standard bar food, well drinks and a comfy local atmosphere. If you come here often you'll see a lot of the same faces supporting their sports team. The food comes out fast, it's your typical burgers and fries mixed in with chicken wings and drinks. There's tons of space and extra long tables. It can get loud and exciting, there are about 30 screens scattered around with all different games playing. There's plenty of outdoor seating for your dog too! Inside or out, LG is a great place to catch a game. B

The food servings are quite large (especially with the po boy). I was a big fan of how they fry their shrimp. It was crispy, but still fresh tasting! The place is a great sports bar with lots of tvs to see the games. I enjoyed watching a couple of the playoff games here. The servers helped accommodate to your dietary preferences and provide you with extra sauce when needed. The Turkey sandwich was alright. I enjoyed it but thought the bacon was a bit too overpowering. I wish the fries tasted good but I wish they were a bit more crispy. The tots were surprising better than most. 3.5/5

The minute we entered Laguna Grill, we were surprised by how big the place actually is! There were so many big tv's, definitely the place to go to if you want to watch sports with friends and family while eating some good food. We got the shrimp poboy and loved it! The dandwich was good to fill up me and my boyfriend and loved that it came with fries as well. Coming back soon to watch some basketball or tennis!

Cobb salad didn't have blue cheese. Possibly more bacon would also make the half salad be worth the money

I opted to do a trio with the bahn mi, tip o' Argentina, and the garlic fries. The food was good I forgot to take a picture! The tip o' Argentina was solid with the garlic aioli and the chimmichurri perfectly complimenting the steak and the lettuce and tomato adding a little bit of freshness. The buns they use for all of their sliders are soft, slightly sweet, and don't fall apart while you're eating. The Bahn Mi was even better. I love pork but was a little skeptical about pulled pork on a slider riffing on the flavors of a bahn mi. To my surprise and delight, it tasted just like grilled Vietnamese pork, which was perfectly complimented by the fresh and pickled veggies and surprisingly hot jalapeño. Finally, I got the garlic fries which were a massive portion, crisp, and very garlicky. Everything was good and with such a large and customizable menu, I'd definitely return if I was in the area again. I also want to give a shout out to the bartender, Kelsey. I sat at the bar and her service was attentive and she was very knowledgeable about the menu. We got the opportunity to chat for a bit and I loved her vibe, so definitely consider sitting at the bar if you're dining solo or with a friend.

It is a bit off the beaten path I thought, in a seemingly industrial area and parking was hard to find at 12:30 on a Monday. We had to go down the street and around the corner since the lot was full. I got a Gouda Burger, the summer crunch salad, and garlic fries. My wife and kid also had a slider but did Italian Sprouts, mac and cheese with bacon, and sweet potato fries. The slider was good- tasty but a little messy to eat. Both servings of fries were really generous. The salad was a good mix of ingredients. However the mac and brussels sprouts were a bit disappointing. For some there is no such thing as too much bacon but for us both of these dishes definitely had too much bacon- so much that we left a lot of the bacon! And don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my bacon. Overall, a good concept but we'll definitely try some non bacon dishes next time!
