I live in Lompoc and have a hard time finding quality nail salons. Saw Vally Nails in Solvang and thought I'd give it a try. Vivie did not disappoint. It was definitely worth the short drive. She did dip powder with French tip. I love my nails. There's only one tech so you know you're getting Vivie when you make your appointment. Thanks for the great service.

I've been seeing Vivie for 2 years getting my dip manicure with her every 3-4 weeks and I have never been disappointed with the results! The quality of her dip manicure is better than any I've gotten elsewhere--it has made my nails so strong and they last so long! I always choose a new color to do each time because her collection of colors is extensive! I constantly get compliments from others about how beautiful my nails look. I'll never trust anyone else other than Vivie to do my nails!

Showed up without an appointment but luckily it was early enough and Vivie was able to accommodate me. Went in for gel nails however decided to try dip powder. It looks just like gel and it's better for your nails. I love how they turned out. Thank you!

I am visiting here for a couple of weeks and went to Vivie for a manicure. She only does dipping powder manicures which was new for me. She told me it would last much longer than the acrylic gel manicure which I had. During the course of the process Vivie criticized the type of manicure I had, told me the brown spots on my hands were from "uv light damage and ugly" - her exact words! WOW! I'm 77 years old. Those are age spots! My manicure with Vivie was exactly 1 week ago today. My nails are unbelievably chipped and my cuticles look terrible! I have been having regular manicures for over 30 years and never, ever had such an unprofessional and disrespectful experience and such an awful manicure. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO HERE!

The acrylic removal was painless and done the right way with acetone soaking and nail drill. Unfortunately there wasn't much of a selection of green nail polish. The pricing for acrylic removal and polish was $30.

Vivie was great! Most attention to detail and best outcome you can find in the valley and Santa Barbara hands down (and I've tried it all). Always love supporting a woman-run/owned business. She does it all! Best enjoyed if you take the time to not be rushed & relax.

Vivie did a great job, it was my first time with dip, and it turned out great. It is so nice inside, and they have extensive, well organized color options. Like the most colors I've seen in a salon! I got a wonderful pedicure too. Wen to another place in town that cost just as much but had poor color selection and got gel that chipped in 5 days. This place is worth it! read more

I've been coming to Valley nails for a few months now. I am pleased to say that every time I leave happy and satisfied. Since coming here I have been doing the dip powder. My nails have never been able to grow as long and strong as they do now. When I tell people that my nails are natural and not acrylic, people can't believe it. Today Vivie did a French manicure on my nails. I love them so much!! They are so elegant and clean! read more

Went here today for a manicure and pedicure. First time going. They are wonderful! It was quick. Prices are affordable. The staff are really nice. Everything felt clean. There were a few customers inside, so it's obviously popular. I was able to get a parking spot right in front, which is nice for a Sunday because Solvang can get busy on the weekends. I'll be back! Just a heads up, they don't take credit cards. You have to pay cash or Venmo. read more

Vivie worked with me to transform my nails! I first came with her with extremely damaged and short nails. I left to go back to college with long and strong nails. She is very knowledgeable about nails and sns dipping powder! Also, her space is always clean and tidy. What a great find! This was my first time trying dip powder nails and I don't know if I can go back to a regular gel manicure. The manicurist and pedicurist were very efficient and did an amazing job. My boyfriend got the luxury pedicure and the pedicurist was the sweetest lady and had a nice conversation with the both of us. Make sure you call to make an appointment and bring cash, check, or have the Venmo app! read more

I am obsessed with my nails!! The girl that did mine was so meticulous with my gels. It is the best gel set I've ever had. None touching my skin and she did 3 coats to get the best color. So so so appreciative of how thorough she was. And they only do cash but also have a Venmo option which is very helpful! read more

I called a day ahead to see if I could get a pedicure on my visit to Solvang. I left a message and quickly I received a text saying she could do it the next day! I chose a time the day after since I was driving in at that time. To my surprise it was a 2 min walk from my hotel the Landsby. Also I was her ONLY client!! She does not take walk-ins or have multiple people working there which makes it such a personal and relaxing time. No rushing, does an impeccable job and you can tell she loves what she does even after 25 years in the biz! The things I loved most besides Vi Vi is her wonderful chair that is designed to self clean and prevent any germs or fungus while it massages your back. Also loved the fact that there are no chemical smells from acrylics. She does fingers with a dip method which is much better for your nails. It was the best experience I've ever had getting a pedicure. Quiet and relaxing with friendly personalized service! read more

I got a perfect mani-pedi here on a Saturday morning before attending a wedding. It was a little rushed, but they told me they had a wedding party of 10 coming in, and frankly I was a bit late for my appointment so I respect that they kept on their schedule. I've never had a manicure last so long, and the spa chairs were really nice. It was more expensive than the mani-pedi i occasionally get at home, but also a nicer salon and a more top quality job done, so I'm not complaining! Paying with Venmo was easy, and nice that I didn't have to dig through my wallet with a fresh manicure. read more

I was in town for a wedding and had some extra time to spare. I called the morning of and asked for a pedicure appointment that afternoon. I showed up and was greeted kindly and picked my polish. It was very clean in there. My manicurest did probably the best job on my pedicure that I've ever seen. The shape and length of my toes were perfect. I got the spa pedicure with scrubs and the price was great and it felt great!! Thanks again!! read more

Best nail and spa salon in town. Staff is really kind and welcoming! I've been to multiple nail salons and they don't compare to this place. Every time I go in to get my nails done, they are very gentile and considerate. They also got me hooked on dip powder for my nails. They look similar to acrylics but are much nicer and it's healthier for your nails! I highly recommend asking them about it when you go in! read more

I've been coming here consistently for about a year. Best nail salon in the Santa Ynez Valley, in my opinion! The staff is so kind and they do a great job with everything, I've never been disappointed. My usual is dip powder nails and a pedicure, both of which are awesome. The dip nails last longer than a gel manicure and don't peel, and they look better too. I book appointments on yelp and they are always very accommodating. I highly recommend them! read more

To celebrate my friend's birthday, she made appointments for us to get our nails done here. Due to miscommunication within the business, they were not prepared for our appointment and then proceeded to treat us extremely rudely. Treat your customers with respect and don't embarrass them in front of your staff and other customers. Will not return. Update: the owner reached out to both my friend and I to rectify the situation and offered us complimentary certificates to make up for our terrible experience. However, when my friend tried to connect with the owner to claim those certificates and give them another chance, the owner ghosted and did not respond. The fact that the owner reached out and then did not follow through on trying to make it better was more disappointing than when her staff member treated us rudely. read more

Hands-down the absolute best pedicure I have ever received! The care and kindness of the staff paired with the new technology of the massage chair was the perfect blend for a pedicure experience. This place is so amazing! John was wonderful, we talked the whole time and at the end he gave my an amazing arm and hand massage! They have so many gel and other colors to choose from but trust me it's not that overwhelming once you ask for help, John let me know about the colors that would compliment my skin and would look the best on me. As well as best ways to care for my wonderful nails! They have a beautiful cute shop and the whole staff was the sweetest ever! Highly recommend if I could give more then 5 stars I would trust me! My cousin and I needed to get our nails done before a wedding and decided to try this place out... we absolutely loved it here!! Everyone was really, really nice and they were quick. We are both super happy with our mani/pedis. I'd definitely recommend this place to people in town for something. They had a lot of color choices and offer gel. I've been going to a different 'locals favorite' for a while but they've declined lately so I thought it was time to try someplace different. Update: The owner is fabulous! She accommodated my request(below) and John is my new go-to technician (great pedi/ massage and mani gel application). A gem nail salon!! Recently, I found myself in the market for a new nail salon-- business drama/tensions at the old salon... not my taste. Valley Nails, though more expensive than some (and charge a $1 fee to use credit cards??), is clean, offers a fair amount of polish color choices, and the owner(s)/ technicians are customer friendly and articulate. The pedi message is fantastic! The gel mani is beautiful and the tech took the right amount of time and care into making my nails beautiful. The one true drawback for me is having two technicians completing nail services at the same time, e.g. pedi and gel mani completed together. This makes it almost impossible for me to enjoy the full pedi services and somewhat uncomfortable when I am asked to switch hands to reach the tech instead of tech moving location or merely waiting until the pedi is completely done. I know the mani gel must have time to soak off but that's my limit to combining the two services. I'll talk to them on the next visit... they're sure to accommodate. read more

This nail shop had pretty good reviews here on yelp, so I had to try them. I called a day prior to make an appointment. I made my appointment at 9am that's the time I seen they opened. I arrived at 9 am and I was the first one there, I was greeted and sat down promptly. Katie started doing my nails, let me tell you! She was AWESOME! She was very easy to talk to. She took her time, listened to my preferences and made my nails look great! Shop was clean, they had fancy spa pedicure chairs, had tons of color options. I paid 40 dollars for a gel manicure which is 10 dollars more than I pay at my regular place in Vegas but it was worth it. I would definitely come back when I visit this cute little town again. read more

I finally addressed the young lady giving the pedi to ask " is there someone I should check in with?" 2 more staff members came out of the office into the foyer- still no greeting or even eye contact. ( Way to make someone feel welcome...not) The young lady giving the facial was ok. I tried to ask " what are you applying now?" a few times but got very short responses. Lastly- paid for 80 minute treatment but only got 70 minutes... if this was the only issue I would not gave said anything, but when combined with the rest of the average customer service, I was disappointed overall.

I can't say enough good things about Vivie at Valley Nails in Solvang! She is incredible at dip manicures -- seriously, the best I've had anywhere. The finish is always smooth, even, and lasts for weeks without chipping. She's detail-oriented, gentle, and takes her time to make sure everything is perfect. Vivie also has a great eye for color and shape, and she's super helpful if you're unsure what to choose. Every time I leave her chair, my nails look flawless and I feel totally pampered. The salon itself is clean, calm, and welcoming, but Vivie is the real reason I keep coming back. The best nail salon ever! Some reviews are negative because Valley Nails does not take walk-ins; however, I've never been turned down when calling to schedule a same-day appointment for dip powder manicures and gel pedicures. My appointments only take an hour max, yet my nails are always perfect and never rushed. Some salons take walk-ins and make appointed clients wait, so I appreciate that Valley Nails requires appointments. Vivie did such a perfect job at my last appointment, but overall I've never had to request a particular nail tech because every tech I've seen does a wonderful job. Also, fantastic price for such great service. read more

This is the place to go! Literally everyone I know also goes here. I have been all over SB County including Montecito and Santa Barbara and Valley Nails in Solvang is the only place I will get my nails done! They are clean, the owner takes care of the employees so no one is stressed which means the customers get to relax, they have all the latest trends, and actually send you off feeling pampered and refreshed! Valley Nails & Spa is the best in the Santa Ynez Valley. Very relaxing and clean. The dip nails are not offered at most nail salons, I travel a lot to horse shows and the dip nails are strong. I can keep my nails looking salon perfect for over 2 weeks. Making them well worth the time and money! Valley Nails & Spa has an amazing selection of dip powder, gel polish and polish. I contacted Vivie two months in advance to schedule services for the bachelorette party I was hosting and she was very quick to respond to set up the appointments. On the day of, she and her team were quick to get us situated and super nice when some girls decided to change their services. I was able to get a same day appointment on Saturday June 8th for a pedicure. They take appointments only to make sure each customer gets adequate time for their services :) I got the pedicure with the leg scrub and that felt so relaxing on my tired legs. The nail spa was VERY clean. The lady ( the owner) was very kind to me and I felt so comfortable there. The pricing was in line with the other salons so I recommend to try your next pedicure here. read more

This is the only place I will go to in the Santa Ynez Valley! I am thrilled with my manicures (I recommend the powder dip process for manicures!) I also love their deluxe pedicures! My favorite pedicure spot in the valley. I don't go anywhere else now. Vivie is like family and a lot of the time entertaining and funny They're very clean and never spray that cleaner while you're still sitting at the bowl drying your toes. Also they dont have to because they use protection each person. I always recommend this spot to friends, family and anyone asking where to go for a pedicure. read more

Vivie is very knowledgeable and has taken very good care of my nails. I love the dip manicure, it lasts 3 weeks and it has helped my weak natural nails grow long for once! I see Vivie every 3 weeks for a dip manicure and it's always perfect! I am very rough on my nails and they never chip. The yellow nails in the picture are after 3 weeks and still in great condition. The orange nails are my fresh look. I also do pedicures with her and they last at least 2-3 months! read more
