I'll start by saying that I seldom write reviews, and for me to write one of this length, the experience had to be pretty bad. Keep reading if you don't wish to experience the same..... I contacted Valley Plumbing for a second quote on replacing our water heater, our water pressure regulator, and repair or replacement of a malfunctioning toilet. When I initially called, they set up an appointment for the afternoon of the next day. I made sure to work from home that day so I could be there during the appointment window. During that appointment window they called and said that their technician could not make the appointment that day, but that they would schedule me as the first appointment the following day. For this inconvenience they offered me $50 off whatever services might be require (remember this for later). The following day they called and said the technician would be there at 9:00 a.m. At 9:15 I saw the technician's vehicle pull up to the front of my house. I waited for him to come in, but to my surprise the vehicle drove away, no phone call from him or their office. I called their office and it took several minutes for them to track down the technician, who ended up returning at 10:00 am Once he was in the house he immediately went into "sell" mode. Before checking on any of the issues or providing a quote, he wanted to sell me on their company's maintenance program which gave a discount on services they provided. When he finally got around to checking on the toilet, I told him what the previous company had discovered by doing a simple test. They diagnosed that toilet needed to be replaced. Rather than simply providing a quote on a new toilet, he said that the toilet needed to be augered to be certain. He said if that didn't solve the problem that the cost of the auger service would be factored into a reduced cost for replacing the toilet. He charged me $170 for a less-than 10-minute service and declared the problem solved. He went on to provide quotes on the other services I requested. Their quote came in at 40% higher than the first quote I had gotten! In addition, the toilet he augered was not repaired. Needless to say, I felt taken. Because he mentioned taking the charge of the auger service off the toilet replacement, I asked for a quote how much just the toilet replacement would be. His response was, IF I purchased their annual maintenance plan ($90 per year) the cost of the toilet replacement, minus the auger service adjustment, came out to the same price as I was quoted by the first company. Frustrated, I called to talk to the company supervisor about the experience that I had, and to ask about getting refunded for the auger service, or at the very least get the $50 discount that was promised when they missed their first appointment with me. The call went to voicemail where I expressed my concerns and asked that they call me back. As I write this review, more than a week later, still no returned phone call. Their company's motto on TV is "Big or small we fix it all." I would change that to "Big or small don't give them a call." read more

Valley Plumbing helped me tremendously. Specifically Robert M who took the time to search for a less expensive product that I needed. I was in need of having 3 motion sensored automatic toilets installed in my home. Robert M visited my home to assess the existing bathroom setups and asked me to give him some time to search for a less expensive product. A week or so later he found one. I purchased 3 of them and Robert installed them for a very reasonable price. If Robert had not taken the time to do some research for me, I would have paid the "other" excessive price. Also, their dispatch personnel was very friendly and helpful, having all my profile information at their fingertips for the many calls I made into them. Called Valley Plumbing to replace a flushing mechanism in our toilet. We do not live in the property full time otherwise I would have fixed it myself. Office staff making the appointment were very nice. Plumber got to the house tried to tell me that the hose bib outside was stripped? Informed me the repair price would be $698.00 . I told him to get off my property they still charged 68 service fee. My neighbor bought the part for 20 dollars and repaired it for me. I am a realtor and I have NEVER seen a company this bad. I told the serviceman I could purchase TWO new toilets with all the parts for less than their estimate. Considering turning them in to the BBB so someone who doesn't know any better does not get fleeced by this company. read more

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Valley Plumbing - at least for attempting to fix a complex gas leak. On a positive note, their scheduling agents are quite responsive, and the plumbers they sent were well-intentioned -- however, they clearly lacked the experience to identify the source of the leak - as did their supervisor (who never bothered to offer anything but telephonic "support"). The multi-day/week misadventure - most painfully - was extremely costly, given Valley Plumbing's charge per separate service billing scheme (sort of like ordering a large banquet al la carte). I ended up not following up with Valley and hired DVS Plumbing - who identified the leak rather quickly (see my 5-star review) - for much less than the absurd $15k++ quote Valley gave me to rip apart all of the drywall in my home. Valley may be okay - but over-priced - for simple plumbing needs, but my experience suggests that they are a very bad choice for complex jobs. I cannot offer more than one-star - they failed to solve my problem, and cost me thousands of dollars. To date, no one has bothered to follow up with me on why I never scheduled another appointment - thank goodness, I finally realized that they were clueless. read more

I had a clogged toilet that overflowed all the way into my bedroom. Since I have a serious back injury, my caregiver came to clean the water. She told me that the toilet was leaking around the base. I called Valley plumbing. They sent a man to give me a quote. To pull the toilet, replace the wax ring and remount the toilet, and replacing all of the internal parts would be over $900. To replace with a new toilet was slightly over $800. I chose the new toilet. He never quoted just replacing the wax ring and remounting the toilet. I learned,later from the manager that would have only been just over $300. After the installation was complete, when flushed the water would keep running. Each time, I had to lift the lid and adjust the lever. This was extremely painful. Valley showed no concern. After several days, they finally replaced the handle and lever. Needless to say, I'm not happy with Valley Plumbing and do not recommend them to anyone. read more

I've only had a home in Indio since Nov 2022 and the three times I've called on Valley, it's been refreshingly amazing. They answer the phone when I call, they send someone out ASAP (and it's been within 24-48 hrs for NON emergency calls!! Wow!!), they're always looking for ways for me to save money despite whatever repairs I'm confronted with. AND, the staff they send out are soooo nice and helpful! Yesterday they sent David who gently broke the news that I had a very expensive repair ahead... but he softened the blow by making cost saving suggestions that I deeply appreciated. David came in the following day and cleaned up everything that was wrong, he was thorough, knew his stuff, explained everything to us and had a crew out the following day to install new valves in our shower. I scheduled a service call with "Summer" at Valley Plumbing. I had to wait three days for an appointment, which was scheduled for noon. At 1:00 p.m. I called and was told the plumber was held up at a previous call and wouldn't be at my home until three PM. At 2:30 p.m. "Summer" called and said the plumber "may" be at my home after 4:00 PM. I asked whether he/she would be at my home for certain after 4:00 p.m. and she responded that she didn't know and asked if she could reschedule for another day. I said "no" because I had to schedule my day in advance and had already wasted one day waiting for a plumber that didn't arrive and that I couldn't remain in my home another day waiting for a plumber that might not show up. I also told her that if she couldn't guarantee a plumber at my home this day that I would call a different company. "Summer" continued to over-talk me and then abruptly put me on hold (essentially hanging up.) About 5 minutes later (I didn't hang up) "Tina' came on the line and listened to my story. I told it to her exactly as I wrote it above. She apologized and said she would relate this incident to her manager. read more

I had a gas leak as reported by the HOA meter reader, thanks to Hammer plumbing replacing my gas meter and breaking the flex pipe the barbeque, they wanted $350.00 to fix their damage. I called Valley to do the repairs as I had called Hammer's manager twice and he would not return my call. Valley Plumbing were responsive to my calls, they were on the job with in four hours of my first call and fixed the problem on the first visit. Their plumber was polite and knowledgeable, communicated the problem and his solution easily. They are who I recommend now. read more

I was having issues with my hot water going in and out, so after paying several other professionals to come out and diagnose the problem with no results I decided to call Valley Plumbing. Scheduling was easy and the lady I spoke with was very nice. My service guy, Brian, came out the very next day and immediately showed me what the issue was. I ended up needing a new water heater and he took care of everything for me. I had a new water heater and hot water within a few hours. Brian was awesome! He kept me informed letting me know what he was doing every step of the way and was very helpful, efficient, professional and courteous. I'm extremely happy with the service I received here and will be referring them to friends and family. My only complaint was that I didn't call Valley Plumbing sooner! read more

After several calls I finally recieved the estimate - 3 weeks later! Our hot water heater went out in October. The technicians installed a new water heater. Within several days it would not heat the water. We found out that we needed to replace the regulator on our propane tank. The technicians tried to get the tank operational but never understood the depth of the problem until they called the manufacturer. The manufacturer told the technicians exactly what needed to be done. The Manager/Owner would not schedule the work to be done. We have been struggling with this problem since it was installed and finally after weeks of no hot water we finally had another plumbing company come and replace it. Called to make an appointment. First had to speak with an agent and give them all my pertinent information including address, phone number email and explain the problem. Then she informed me someone would call me back to actually schedule. Four hours later dispatch called and scheduled my appointment for the following day at 12 PM . Today no one arrived by 2 PM. Called again to see when they would be arriving. Got put on hold for five minutes just to have someone pick up and ask me what I was waiting for. Then was told they cannot arrive until after 3:30 PM today. I was not available later. The window I had was from 12 to 3 PM. The problem with well-established companies is that they can, perhaps unknowingly, over time, become disinterested in listening to their repeat customer's wants and needs. Valley Plumbing has, sadly, joined that select group. I do not accept teams (more than one) of workers in my home at the same time unless it is a necessity (this wasn't), because as a Senior, I've had my medicine cabinet ransacked, pills stolen, and other small items (hand calculators, small fossils) disappear when one person is working, and the other wanders off, asks to use the spare bathroom, needs to take a call, etc. NOTE: The thefts were NEVER by Valley Plumbing. Valley Plumbing knows I ALWAYS request only one plumber at a time unless the job involves heavy work. I do the same with other businesses if the work is to be done inside my home, and I cannot oversee multiple employees in different rooms. When I made this appointment, I specifically stated, twice, to only send ONE plumber. The job was small and lightweight, a simple R&R of a Fluidmaster toilet valve inside the commode tank. I was PROMISED there would only be one plumber. I feel I treat worker's excellently at my home. I am an excellent tipper, put on music for the worker to make the job nicer, and always give them a cold beverage as they depart. However, my one- plumber policy is something I won't compromise because I've been robbed by workers before in my home (NOT by Valley Plumbing.) Before the appointment time, I get a call from the plumber who tells me he is bringing an apprentice with him. The dispatcher and plumber did not follow my long-time policy, knowing they have electronic notes in their system about this, which they told me. I now know Valley Plumbing no longer cares what me, the repeat customer, wants. I ask for one plumber, and they send two. It is a matter of listening to the customer's instructions and needs, like asking a vendor not to park in your driveway or to wear a face mask during COVID. Sadly, because I feel not listening to the customer is a very poor way to do business, I will no longer use Valley Plumbing after many years. I do NOT recommend them as they did not listen to my straightforward request repeated twice! I won't have things pilfered any more in my own home because too many workers show up, and you shouldn't want this either. Valley Plumbing, start listening to your customers again; there is too much plumbing competition who still listens in the Coachella Valley not too. read more

Have not used this company but would never based on their employee drivers. Drove about 5 miles over the speed limit down Vista Chino and was tail gated on my bumper all the way. Needed turn at a light and the driver tried to race ahead and cut me off to turn ahead of me (but didn't make it and was clearly enraged)--greedy, unsafe and bananas. We had several contractors come look at our problem that we thought were termites. One termite "expert" took a look and said yes its definitely termites and for $2500 he will drill holes in the floor of kitchen and pump in 15 gallons of poison to kill them all. Another contractor came in and wanted to charge $6,000 to tear out a wall and redo all the plumbing. We called Valley and they knew immediately what the problem was. No termites, only a leaking cold water pipe under the kitchen sink behind the wall. They cut into the wall and patched up the leaking pipe. It looks just like new now and cost only a small fraction of the original bids. Highly recommend them. read more

Something has happened since first starting using. Prices have always been high but put up with it. Recently had such a bad experience I no longer will deal with them. I have been with hot water in my shower for 10 days. No communication from them other than me calling them and asking for updates. I paid for diagnostic service then they went silent. Even after calls told someone would call back. Nope did not happen. Then told today would be 3 weeks till a month for part. Even asked if just put new values or such and shower heads as well because of leaks. Well still waiting as now not as much a money issue as getting fixed. However so disappointed in them now do not want a thing to do with them. Oh, try and put a review on their site...impossible so you are reading what they choose to show. We appreciate his work. We do NOT appreciate the extremely high price of $580 for labor only! It was shocking and we regret not getting an estimate before making an appointment and not checking their Yelp reviews. Valley Plumbing was recommended to us from a friend who owns commercial property. We purchased the faucets from Build.com at less than 1/2 the price of labor. We needed our water softener system checked out and David came on time and gave me a good education on my system and adjusted settings. I called Valley Plumbing for a quote for a toilet repair. The pipes in the bathroom were making a high pitch sound; the toilet over-flowed twice in the past two weeks and left a large amount of water on the floor and the toilet was "running." Isais came out the following day. He said that we needed many parts replaced in our tank to resolve the problems. He quoted $1200+ to replace the needed parts. He also quoted $1,217.27 to replace the toilet and install it. We got a second opinion and quote from another plumbing company and had the repair done for $185.00!! Obliviously, we didn't need a new toilet. We needed a "snake" to unclog the toilet drain and, a new "flapper" in the tank. If you do, absolutely do not sign anything until they've completed work. My honest husband naively trusted this company and was "required" to sign for service before it commenced. He was misled about the service and costs. Also, the serviceman tried to "sell" my husband on un-necessary work. As an architect, my husband is very familiar with plumbing service costs. The final bill was twice the standard, proper amount . Called Valley Plumbing because they were close to where my elderly father lives. They came pretty quickly to look at the knob in his shower. They weren't there very long and quoted my dad a price of over $2200 to fix the problem and said it would be a 2 day job! Called my plumber who is our neighbor and he fixed it same day for $120.00 including the part. He was there about 40 minutes. Never expected such a quick response to our call, especially on Christmas Eve! Michael S. did quick work on our backed up kitchen sink (and taught me not to put citrus fruit down the garbage disposal!) He was friendly, polite, clean and even put things back under the sink, saving my knees. We expected a huge bill, but the price was very reasonable. Hope to never need a plumber, but we will keep Valley Plumbing and Michael S as our #1 choice. Thank you for making our major problem a small one! read more

After three visits and too much money spent, they were unable to fix a leaky toilet. Without looking at anything on the fourth visit, the plumber was fixated that it was because of roots. He wouldn't even look at the problem without me agreeing to pay if there were roots. On top of that, at least two of their employees were rude to my tenant. I refused him, and I will never use them again. read more

First of all, this company does not allow you to write your honest review on their website unless they first approve it. Be aware, Valley Plumbing is extremely expensive!!!!! We had new kitchen pipes installed underneath the kitchen sink, a new kitchen faucet installed and a new garbage disposal installed. Before their tech arrived we had removed all the pipes, faucet and disposal (it was a clean slate). We also had already purchased all of the supplies needed for the installation (pipes, faucet, disposal, parts, etc.). It took the tech about one hour and 15 minutes to complete this task and they charged over $600.00 and that was just for labor. We were experiencing a garbage odor before the tech came and that odor continued after their work was done. We expressed this to the tech at the time of installation and also made a follow up call for this to be resolved. When the same tech came back a week later he snaked the line but said he couldn't smell anything (he was wearing a mask and pulled it down for a few seconds to smell the debris that was on the snake line). He said the only other thing Valley Plumbing could do would be to send their "sewer plumber" to send a camera down the line to further investigate or bomb the house to see if there is a sewer leak. The price for the camera alone was over $1,100.00. We declined their two suggestions. We eventually had to remove several of the newly installed pipes ourselves to get to the original pipe that leads to the sewer line (underneath the sink). That pipe was full of dried debris and a garbage odor so, we cleaned it with a brush and then flushed the pipe. When the tech first came to do the install he said he would flush the line but he never did that. This should have been done at the time of installation, the paying customer should not have had to finish this job. I highly recommend that you choose a different plumbing company to do your job. *Full disclosure, the tech was polite, on time and did arrive with a mask, gloves and booties on. He also asked permission to take his gloves off to do the work. We were told that we would receive a call from the office to check on the service that was provided, however, we never received a phone call. read more

Usually have great service from Valley but this week we got the pleasure of having Elizabeth do some work for us. She was very knowledgeable and fixed the issue we had in a timely manner. I would definitely call Valley Plumbing again and hopefully get Elizabeth to work on our plumbing. She was fantastic! read more
