If you have ever stayed in a trailer, you know it's tight quarters. But you get your own kitchen and bathroom and it's a heckuva lot more fun than a bland, stale hotel room. The site has firepits. Even better, they give you complimentary s'more kits with all the fixings. They have BBQs for grilling. They give you cookies and yogurt in the morning. They even give you oranges so you can squeeze your own orange juice. I don't drink orange juice normally but the juice here was outstanding. They have books and games available for borrowing. They have hammocks and swings and picnic tables. They have bikes for free rental. They have freshly-baked cookies that are delicious. There is apple cider and hot chocolate. There are a lot of amenities here which you simply will not find at most hotels. The train runs right by here and it's loud and shocking at first but it doesn't come by that often and you get used to it. Inside the trailer, aside from the train, the grounds are extremely quiet. This is a fun place and something different. The location is great and you get a lot of value for your money.

Upon arrival, we discovered that there was no hot water available. My young children were forced to take very brief showers using extremely cold water, which was uncomfortable and not what we expected during our stay. We also found that the internet service was unavailable despite it being advertised as an amenity. Additionally, I was advised prior to our arrival that a propane grill would be available for our use. Based on that information, we planned our meals accordingly. Unfortunately, no propane grill was provided, creating an unexpected inconvenience for our family. The following day, conditions worsened when the water service was completely shut off. Without running water, the restroom facilities became unsanitary very quickly, as toilets could not be flushed and the bathrooms became increasingly unpleasant to use. Although we received the notice that the water would be off until 1pm it went well over that. This created an unacceptable situation for guests and made it difficult for our family to comfortably remain on the property. We chose KOA Ventura Ranch because of its reputation for providing a quality family camping experience. Unfortunately, the lack of essential services and amenities during our stay fell well below reasonable expectations. Given the extent of these issues and the impact they had on our family's stay, I respectfully request a partial refund of the fees paid for our reservation. I believe this would be a fair resolution considering the loss of basic services that were part of the experience we purchased. I would appreciate your prompt review of this matter and look forward to hearing from you regarding a resolution. Had not stopped for about ten years but this time I again found the park a nice stop. Roadways are dirt, the pool is not heated, but the staff are very helpful and friendly. Most of the back in spots are 30 amp as they are part of the original park. They have added 7 new drive thru sites with 50 amp and water. No sewer hookup but there is a dump station. The restrooms and showers are old but spotlessly maintained and very clean! Lots of hot water for your shower. This park accepts Passport America so it makes a great discount on the already very fair rates. Easy access to either SR 58 or SR 14. The property looked in better shape than it did the last visit. Grass around a number of sites and the sites clean and level.

It is nice and clean and has full hook ups. There is no pool or anything recreational like that, though I do believe there is a game room and gym. Like I said we weren't there for that so I didn't check them out to even tell you what was in them or how they are. The restrooms were clean and have showers, we use the restroom and shower in our rig but did have to use the park restrooms a couple of times. When staying here, remember... it's a tent, don't expect a flashy hotel room. Our tent had a king sized bed. It was stocked with towels, plates, pans, silverware, paper towels, dish soap & a sponge. We were warned as we checked in that if we were caught riding our E bikes we would be kicked off the premises. Needless to say this change affected our experience and will have a big impact on us returning.
