I got good service here for awhile, but in the past year or so, it has greatly deteriorated. I took my car in for a problem with a slow leak in one tire as I had bought the tires there. I was told there was nothing wrong with my tires and they all had good tread and were fine. I took my car for an oil change 6 weeks later and was then told I needed two new tires. By the way, I had the same service technician both times. The tires only have 20,000 miles on them. I will not be getting any services here again as there are plenty of other places with a better rating to take my car. Thank goodness. I would advise people to stay away from this garage as they don't seem to know what they are doing. read more

Terrible. I took my vehicle here for warranty work and an oil change. I waited over two hours for it. A couple weeks later I noticed an oil leak. I alleged that the technician may not have tightened up the oil drain bolt properly. I brought it up to the service manager and they asked me to stop by for them to check it out. It turns out the warranty work they did caused a leak and they quoted me for additional work at my expense at about $300. Keep in mind, this is warranty work supposedly covered under the Volkswagen brand. The leak causes the oil to drain about 1quart of oil every 1k miles. I have a doubt like I'm being haggled for, so I contact Volkswagen of America, and they reach out to this location to get their side of the story. They follow up with me to tell me that it has been so long and they're not willing to make things right, so I can seek service at another Volkswagen service location, which everyone knows we are limited in the Valley. The service interval comes around and I change the oil myself. What do know, the oil drain bolt was lose and washer was reused, which is an item that's supposed to be replaced at every oil change. There is oil seeping out where they did the warranty work, but no where near the amount of oil that was around the oil drain bolt. Thanks for nothing and wasting my time! read more

Absolutely the worst experience! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. If you want your vehicle fixed, take it literally anywhere else. Volkswagen has had my husband's car for four months at this point with absolutely no progress made. We dropped it off BEFORE thanksgiving and it's nearly SPRING. The communication has been horrendous leading us to believe that they are screening our calls. Natasha has been nothing short of unprofessional, giving the same answers, read excuses, whenever we show up and talk in person because like I said, you won't ever get a call back. They "attempted" to "fix" the car with a solution outside of the code the check engine light was throwing because it would be "easier, cheaper, and faster" and then were surprised when it didn't work. This vehicle has been deemed unsafe to drive but there is absolutely no hurry in "helping us move forward". Isn't that their motto? Hilarious because we haven't moved at all. read more

This is a fantastic location for service. We happened to be traveling through on our way back home to Texas from an emergency family trip to VA: We had a terrible, no-good, rotten week and then realized we were due for an oil change and were just starting home. I looked up dealerships all across the nation to see if we could find one a few hours out - all terrible....except for Valley VW that happened to be 10 minutes behind us. I called the day after Thanksgiving and was kindly, quickly transferred to Eric in service. I asked if they could get us in and he said "come on down, we'll get you taken care of." I was so thankful and thrilled after our long, hard week and anticipation of a long drive home, too (24hrs). They got us right in and out in under an hour. Thanks for giving us service and kindness that we historically associate with VW - but that is missing from most now. Eric and team at Valley VW - you rock! read more

i took my 2013 tiguan there in december '23 for an engine light diagnostic, and was appalled by the blatant lying and rude disrespect they gave me. their service team came up with more than 18 items and over $15,000 in repairs, on a auto with just 80,000 miles. the engine light code was for a sensor, but the dealership said it was necessary to repair the timing chain (an over $6000 charge). i phoned a friend/mechanic and they recommended the spark plugs and oil change, so i did those items. the service people were convinced all their recommendations were valid, and made me sign a waiver, but the engine light has never come back on, nor have i had any transmission problems. meanwhile, the service desk ladies were very rude both on the phone and in person after i decided to only do minor repairs. they said my car was poorly maintained, told me i must know more than them to my face, and then still charged me $150 for the supposedly complimentary multi-point inspection/diagnostic. i would NOT trust these people. i took my car to another vw specialist, who diagnosed 3 smaller issues, with not one of the things that came up on the dealership diagnostics. cma staunton are scammers and rude! read more

This review pertains only to the VW Service Department. Our Jetta Sportwagon battery fault indicator light flashed on as we were headed NB on I-81 with a brand new adopted dog. We were fortunate that there was a VW Dealer in Staunton only 2 miles away. We were extremely lucky to have experienced such excellent help from the service Manager Darryl. We were seen quickly, treated politely and pleasantly and felt well taken care of every step of the way. My only regret is that we live too far from Staunton otherwise I would take my VWs there for service. read more

Buying a new car is painful these guys make it slightly less horrible of an experience.

I purchased my car from Valley VW in 2014, the service and the sales team were great. I wrote an exceptional review at that time. Since then my experience has been poor. Due to the VW buyback, I had plans for VW to buy my car back. Since, I had purchased a warranty I knew that I needed to cancel that warranty as the car had been parked for over 3 months. In just a few short weeks it was scheduled for buyback. I advised the dealership that I needed to cancel my warranty they recommended that I call the warranty company directly. So, that was my next step, I contacted them and they canceled my warranty. The warranty company informed me that the dealership processes the refund for cancellations at the end of the month. This was January 19, 2017. I waited until the second week of February to contact VW to see if they had applied the cancellation to the loan balance. I was informed at that time that Valley VW had not sent the refund amount. I called Valley VW AGAIN and I spoke with someone in finance, she advised me that it can take a few weeks to check back again in a week. I checked back in a week and I spoke with Bruce Myers he looked into the system and said they check was sent and the credit should be applied any day. Well, today is March 11 and I call again. This time I am given another story of which the accounting office handles those and they aren't available on Saturday .Since all this has transpired VW has bought my car back and the loan has been paid in full since February 28, 2017. I find it very funny that VW can buy my car back, pay off my loan and give me our agreed settlement and VALLEY VW can't get their stuff together to submit the money back for the warranty that was purchased. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP. They are shady and unless they are benefitting from something they are unreliable and unethical. read more
