I really really REALLY needed a haircut. I called to see if I can come in as a walk-in and Sylvia or Sylvie (forgive me if I butchered your name) said yes. I come in and get attended to really fast by Ms Sylvia. She ask what I wanted and I was going for Pixie. My medium length hair was too long for me. I've had short hair my whole life I was ready to shed some weight. I gave her 3 pictures to reference from and she got the style I was looking for. Totally love my new do, I feel like myself again. This place sucks! 2 huge problems! 1. The receptionist is rude I Called in to tell him I was running late. He responded with, we can't take you any more! You ruined the schedule! Then puts me in Mega hold and the lady Ana picks up and let's me know it is okay to come in! 2. I come here to the worse hair stylist All these reviews are fake! She mostly does MEN hair cuts! She was able to advise me on a haircut that would work with my facial length, which I appreciated since I know nothing about that! :D She was quick and friendly and got me out of there after washing it in under 20 minutes. My daughter went in for a hair cut. This stylist (do not know her name)but she took her right in even thought it was almost their closing time. My daughter said that this stylist was giving her tips how to make her hair look good while all the other salon she ever went to did not even bother talking to her(maybe because she is an early teen? too kid? don't know )and just cut her hair. I just got my haircut by Pamela and it is amazing!!! I was a walk-in, on a holiday, and she was there, friendly and excited to chop all my hair off! My hair was pretty long, down the middle of my back and she cut it into a cute bob. Then I got my eyebrows waxed as well. My experience here was awesome! I've been going here for almost 3 years. I haven't had a bad haircut. Pamela is amazing! I recently went and they let a dog in who wasn't a service dog or emotional companion. They said the owner said he was but the dog had no license or tags. They as a business have a right to confirm the validity of the animal for safety of their customers. Once the dog left they didn't even mop up incase future customers had allergies to dogs. I raked them about it and they really were unaffected by my concerns. It really made me feel like my three years of loyalty and several referrals meant nothing. Go for a great haircut but that's about it. read more

Started getting my haircuts here in the early part of 2015. Thought I would give it a try after having my hair mangled by a few different hack jobs who shouldn't be allowed to hold a pair of scissors. I'm glad I found this place. Now I get my hair cut so it looks the way I want. I found that Ana the stylist is patient and listens to my questions and explanation of what I want and gives helpful suggestions based on her experience, and I get the cut I want. I just got a haircut from Valley Cuts for the first time and I'm not satisfied with my haircut. My stylist Olga cut my hair to the length I asked, but for my face frame and layers she made the cuts very chunky and unnatural. It was only a $17 haircut but I left disappointed and wishing I had spent more money on someone who actually knows what they're doing. I won't be coming back here again. read more

I always come to Valley Cuts every visit, and Ana & Gregg are the greatest. They are wonderful hosts, talented, and treat everyone like family. They even offer amazing coffee and other beverages and take the time to speak to you and get to know you, even after the haircut. It was about what you'd expect from a regular haircut salon. Price was $17 for a regular men's cut. For that price I would rather have gone to a barber or supercuts. The lady was nice but asked me so many technical questions about how to cut my hair I was scared she was new or wpuld mess up on what I wanted. I went in with my partner to freshen up our layers and get a nice trim. The experience from the moment We walked in to the time We walked out was absolutely incredible. I called and spoke with Anna, the salon owner, that same afternoon and we were able to see them that evening, which was a plus cause we really needed this trim. Anna and her husband are so sweet, they make you feel at home. The other stylist, Laura, had cut my gf hair and did a wonderful job. She too is very friendly and knowledgable in what she does. We plan to go back to this salon for all of our hair needs. Not only are their pricing reasonable and their costumer service is beyond amazing they are close to home and close to COSTCO. It's nice to have finally found not one but two great stylist that we can trust with our hair. I will highly recommend Valley Cuts and both stylist to everyone I come in contact with. Nice shop super close to Costco. It has room for about 6 stations but when I was there it was only Anna. I think she owns the place. (She is actually hiring, if you know someone.) She is a delightful women from Guatemala, if I remember correctly, and is very skilled at her job. I normally cut my own hair but I was short on time and 2 months too bushy so I made an appointment 10 mins ahead and stopped in. Asked her for the side shortness I normal do and to do what she wanted with the top. I ended up with a custom scissor cut that looked 5 x better than my normal buzz cuts. From her clientele she has lots of family customers, but she did a great men's cut. The shampoo is included in the men's cut. Very affordable and so far my favorite place in LA. read more

First time coming to this salon and I felt in love. Yesterday I went for a hair cut and she did it just how I asked, and today I went for my hair coloring. I went from a grey platinum to a dark brown with caramel highlights. I forgot to get the ladies name but she was just so honest and amazing! And very gentle with hair! My hair came out extremely beautiful, no damages, soft and just great. This will always be my salon. Ladies very talkative and sweet. -2 stars: you can call to "schedule" an appointment but that does not really mean much. My husband waited for 20 mins. They came looking for him 7 mins after he left. So 27 min wait with an appointment. The manager explained that they take "calls aheads" but that they don't really schedule a stylist for those calls (and they don't call them appointments). And they usually explain that to customers when they call ahead. I've been going there for over two years and with all of the hair cuts my family of four gets... that is a lot of calls and not once has someone "explained" an appointment does not really mean an appointment (plus I have talked with him at least 4 times to "not schedule an appointment" and he has never told me that). I also have seen stylist hold the chair because they have told patrons they are holding the chair for an "appointment". So....? +3 stars for minerva, she gives quick and good cuts and is very good with kids cuts (which is not easy) +2 stars for Anna, also good cuts. Ana you used to be at the salon every time I went in. Your oversight is missed. Your business partner does not create the same kind of welcoming and friendly vibe. -1 bc stylists rotate in and out. And not all of them are good. My family has all had good and bad cuts from here. The price is killer. So you kind of put up with the rotating stylists. But this recent bs about "call aheads" vs. "appointments" shows they are out of touch with their clients and maybe even industry standards. If they re-evaluate that practice we would go back. But until then, other fish in the sea. read more
