I parked there 3-4 times in the past even though traffic is bad around this place because they were okay. Sadly, I had a terrible experience there this week. When I landed at the Newark airport this afternoon, it was extremely cold and windy (it was about 15 degrees F). I called them---I was told the shuttle would be there within 5 minutes. When the shuttle didn't come even after I waited in the freezing cold for 15 min, I called them and the shuttle came within 1 min. I asked the driver---he said he was given confusing direction. When I reached their lot, I asked about the delay. The guy asked back "how long did it take for you to come here from the airport?" I said 10-15 min. He said "Then why are you complaining about?" I said I am complaining because he himself said earlier that the shuttle would be there in 5 min and because it was very cold. He won't listen---he kept saying that it takes 10-15 minutes for the shuttle to go from the parking lot to airport. After a bit, he told me "Don't park here no more." I am very shocked at this experience. Probably they had a change of ownership. I will park elsewhere in future. If you are reading this, please consider doing the same. They have a sign inside saying that customers can get a discount next time for leaving a 5-star review on Google. read more

I've used Value Parking several times, and each experience has been great. The service is always prompt and reliable--there's always a car ready to pick me up after I drop off my vehicle to take me directly to the airport terminal. This is a nicely priced solution but be careful. There was a new black scuff on my mirror and a new white scuff on my door, which is unfortunate and tells me they're just slamming doors all over the place and not treating cars with respect. Not as good as it used to be. Shuttles from two competitors, ABC and The Parking Spot came by three times before Value's shuttle came and the weather was in the 20's. Also in past years, Value had your car already turned on and warming up in the winter, but not this time. The staff didn't put my luggage in the trunk, they just left it near the rear of the car. Competitive prices, speedy drop-off, friendly staff... what more could you ask for in airport parking? Clearly the most important thing is that you're dropped off at your gate as quickly as possible. And we were. We got in on a Saturday afternoon and dropped off the car and was at our gate in less than 15 minutes total from start to finish (make a reservation to cut down on time). Return back to the lot wasn't quite ideal, however. There were so many people and just one van. If not for a couple willing to ride sharing a seat, we would have been waiting at least another 20 minutes for the van to return. You know that feeling of just wanting to get home after a flight? So, yeah. I'd give them another chance, but the lack of multiple vans gives me some hesitation. Judging from these other reviews, seems like an isolated incident. read more

I typically would use 'The Parking Spot' when flying out of EWR, but when I tried to reserve a space last week I was told they were booked. I read the reviews of other companies and decided on Value Parking. I'm very happy I did. From the moment I pulled into their lot, I felt I was being given the royal treatment. I got there at 5:00 AM and a young man named Anthony directed me to the office, telling me when I was done there, he would drive me to the airport. 10 minutes later I was dropped off in front of the terminal. The trip back was even better. Here's why: It took 10 minutes for the plane to taxi to the gate. It took 10 minutes until I was off the plane. And it was 10 minutes from the time I called Value Parking to come me that I actually drove my just washed car off the lot. after I made the call to come get me, I considered ducking back into the terminal to grab a coffee and donut. I'm glad I didn't because the driver (another polite man), showed up in about 90 seconds. After enduring a cross country, red-eye flight, all I wanted was to get me car quickly and drive home. That's exactly what happened. I'd still use The Parking Spot if I had to, but if I have a choice, I'll be using Value Parking out of Newark from now on. read more

I love the staff!! When I arrived back from my trip this morning and went to the desk to pay & get my car, the manager told me that it would take a few minutes because my battery was dead. He said I was one of two customers with a dead battery that morning. He hustled out with the jumper cables and delivered my car to me in less than 10 minutes! He didn't charge me for the service. I happily tipped him. You might wait a few minutes longer for your pick up at the terminal than with Parking Spot or Victoria's. (I waited 15 minutes today.) I have used Value Parking twice at Newark and had an excellent experience both times. We booked in advance and each time. The van was ready to go when we pulled up. On the return trips, they were there both times in less then 5 minutes from the phone call for the pick up. Every staff member has been pleasant to deal with. On return, our car was ready to go and I've just walked in, given the claim ticket and bill/receipt is already done and you are on your way in minutes. I've used the "big" parking/shuttle companies, but you often end up waiting on line to get into a crowded van and wait to check out on return. Value Parking is just that - great value, great service. ALMOST DIED BECAUSE OF THIS COMPANY! I parked my car here for three days. Easy drop off service and shuttle ride was fairly quick. HOWEVER, I came back, my car was parked in front of the building ready for me to leave. Paid, left with my receipt. As I was leaving, I starting merging onto the highway. NOT EVEN REACHING 60mph yet, the hood of my car flew open and smacked my windshield as I was driving. I had to have my car towed home because of the damage. I called value parking asking if there was any reason why they would open my hood. They said "my battery died and they charged it." But I just bought a car battery with a 6yr warranty. These people touched my car without my permission with an unbelievable reason. With a new battery and a short parking time, there is no way my car should have been dead. I drove an hour away to this location. My car was a great condition. I have my oil changed by a certified mechanic as recently as last month. THERE SHOILD HAVE BEEN NO EXCUSE ON WHY MY HOOD OR BATTERY SHOULD BE DEFECTIVE. My biggest issue with entire situation is that they never told me before I left. They never said they touched my hood, which happened to be improperly closed. They tried to say my "hood latch was broken." The state in which I left my car was different AFTER they handled it. They are valet, not mechanics. I should post the video of them admitting this and them giving me poor excuses and putting the blame on me. I can't stress this enough to please be aware what kind of people work here. read more

Shuttle to the airport was a breeze but pick-up was very frustrating. We waited at the appropriate spot for 40 minutes and watched two (presumably full) Value parking vans drive right by us. And also watched as the (larger) vans for every other parking place came and went multiple times. Nice people working at the front desk and on the vans but they need to have more vans running. DO NOT GET A CARWASH!!! I gave it 3 stars because everyone was very nice & efficient, BUT... When I arrived, I told the guy I didn't have time to get gas, I had 20 miles left to go. I was getting a car wash so asked if that was ok. He said they wash on premises, no problem. Also they wash the day of return, so it will get done, weather permitting. Shuttle service guys nice, quick drop off & pick up. I arrived back a week later. 1st thing I noticed was the bird droppings on my "clean" car. The guy was very nice & wiped it off. I go to put my luggage in the back of my crossover, it was clearly not vacuumed, guy told me they don't clean trunks. Umm, ok. $25 no trunk included. Fine. I get in my car & it looks like someone took a dry cloth & wiped some of it down. Dust on dashboard, fingerprints all over the mirror, console not clean,... the $18 car wash near my house that I thought was lousy is a gem compared to the alleged car wash I got. This alone was bad enough, but then I started driving... Distracted by the horrible car wash & wasting my money on that, I hadn't realized my car had 4 miles left before running out of gas. I noticed this at the light as soon as I turned out of the lot. Not knowing the area, I almost started crying on the highway when my car felt like I was going to break down on the side after a 15 hour flight back from China. My car was a few miles past 0 as I finally rolled (yes rolled, gas was that low) into a gas station. I called the parking lot & asked where the car washes were done. The guy told me on premises. So I asked where my car was driven 15 miles. He said sometimes when the wash guy doesn't show up they drive somewhere very close. I would really give this place only 1 star based on lack of communication on my gas & the pathetic excuse for what they call a car wash, but the people I interacted with were very nice. read more

We're from the DC area, and had to take a flight out of Newark Airport for a few days. I was hesitant to leave my car at the airport for 9 days because of the high cost. I was also hesitant to use a vendor lot, not knowing how safe the area is or how I could trust people not associated with the airport, but I'm so glad I did! The shuttle drivers were extremely nice and always on time. As soon as I dropped my car off, they took pictures of it, and I was on my way back to the airport. The entire process took less than 30 minutes to and back to the airport! When we returned from our trip, it was about 2pm afternoon, and their was a shuttle waiting right there for me already! I picked up my car in the same condition I left it there, and people were much friendly than I expected, and again the process took less than 20 minutes from the airport. I have used this place a lot, but their hours have changed. The website says 24/7 everywhere, but it is not any longer. They need to update it to be consistent. They now have a hard closure from 1am to 4am and no longer accept text messages because people would text while they were still on the plane instead of at the pickup spot. Seems like a solvable issue. My flight was delayed, so I called while boarding the plane and let them know that I was going to be in at around 1am due to the delay. He asked for my flight number and said not a problem. I now think he saw the old arrival time still showing online and didn't believe me based upon what he told me when I got there. The flight got slightly before 1 and we rushed to the pick-up spot as quickly as possible and called. It was about 1:20am and they were closed. No answer. Phone just rang. Had to Uber home for almost $50 and then back out there the next day for another $40 plus they charged me for that additional day. I let them have it as a parting gift, as I will not longer be a customer. All savings were offset this trip. Not worth the headache of not knowing whether you will be able to get your car if your flight gets delayed. I'll likely use a direct competitor or car service in the future. They are a lot cheaper than most options, but it is not worth the potential of being stranded at the airport. It is also worth noting that they had signs everywhere that they are not liable if your mirrors, headlights, wheels, wipers, etc. get stolen. I asked them once if this really happens and he said I would not believe how often! The people are nice and honest, and I was even willing to accept the risk, but getting closed out of my car due to the new time policy is pretty much the straw that breaks the camels back. read more

I've parked there at least the last 5 vacations and made reservations for April 2018 From the time you pull in , the lot attendant, office staff and shuttle driver are all very efficient, courteous, and helpful by helping with my luggage both to the airport and when I return.
