For the most part it was convenient and easy to use. I booked online and paid in advance. When I returned from my trip, they asked for additional charges and claimed that I stayed longer than booked. However, I was way under the time compared to booked dates and times. I had to prove it with my reservation receipt and showed the attendant the date and times who argued w me. Very good experience. They were extremely friendly and timely. On my return I waited maybe 10 mins for a pick up. Lot was well lit and attended. The lot is located about 10 mins outside of the airport. There was a bit of traffic but the driver knew a short cut. I will definitely use them for future trips. read more

My girlfriend parked her car here when she went home to visit family in CA a few weeks back. She had no trouble getting her car on time and thought her experience at Value Parking went well until she inexplicably had her hood fly up into her windshield on her less than a mile away from the parking lot. After calling and speaking to Josh who is apparently the manager, we found out that they opened the hood of her car to charge the battery. The only problem was that her battery is less than a year old and it was 55+ degrees for the 3 days her car was in the lot. Something seemed fishy. When I told them about the incident that had happened a mile away from their lot, Josh's response was, "Yes the latch on her hood was broken, but unfortunately she didn't inspect her vehicle before she left the lot. The damage happened off our property so that isn't our problem." What we were able to gather was that they opened the hood without authorization or notice, broke the latch, and let her drive off. All without saying a word about it until they were confronted after the fact. I am going as far as I can go to ensure that these people don't neglect their customers like they did her. They literally told us that they knew they had damaged her hood while the car was on the property, but since she didn't specifically check, it was our problem. They took no responsibility for the danger they put her in, and I have reached out to an attorney to try to settle the $3,500 in damages that they caused. Please do yourself a favor and pay for long term parking at the airport before you spend your money with this dishonest company. read more

First time customer, just came back from my trip. The experience was smooth and simple. I found the coupon online and paid partial fee up front when I made reservation. Arrived at the park lot, got on the shuttle bus, went on my trip. Got back to Newark, called them, got picked up, paid rest of the bill, got in my car and home. I had a pretty good experience here. Easy drop off and pick up and the staff were very friendly. The only negative part is that the entrance street is very narrow and it's a busy corner across from the cemetery. Apparently it's the same price whether you buy a ticket online or purchase on site. I arrived 45 minutes early than my scheduled arrival time because there was a lot of traffic reported on the highways. However, I left before my departure time. Since I was 18 minutes over the 2 hour grace period I was charged an extra full day. This is wrong, it should be prorated. Quick check in even at 4am! The shuttle was ready to go. Came back 6 days later and my flight was running late. They called to tell me that there were a lot of delays because of the weather before my flight even took off (we were still in Orlando and it was hours before our flight was scheduled) So kind to inform us! My flight was running super late, and the gentleman on the phone was so kind and wished us a safe flight. When we arrived back in Newark we were exhausted! Here's how Value Parking works: you drive up (there is a BIG sign, very clearly stating where to turn), a person will announce to you to pull up to a designated area, and then you park. You go inside, the person confirms your prebooked spot, and within minutes, you are in a van, being driven to the airport. When your trip is over, the ticket stub VERY CLEARLY states where to go in order for your van to pick you up. You simply call and tell them you are ready, and then your driver arrives. It's perfect. Needed to park my car for 12 days while I was in FL. They had a great rate, online reservations, were open 24 hours (I drove all night and arrived at 4am), had the shuttle ready as soon as I was (no wait time), and were only 5 min from EWR airport. They gave me a ticket to call/text them upon arrival for pickup, and they arrived promptly w/minimal wait time. Overall great exp. Have already recommended them and would definitely use them again. Car was fine when I picked it up, although not sure if it was under covered parking or not if that's something you want. Not that I really care, my ride is a ghetto 2000 Toyota Echo that has withstood me driving it X-country and letting it accidentally roll into a cement lamppost (whoops). Only complaint is the drive TO the parking lot, which was terror-ridden thanks to NJ drivers and nightmarish potholes that def threw my alignment...I'm surprised my little tuna can made it there in one piece. Picked up my car and was not thinking I had to throughly inspect the car before I left. When I get on the highway literally 5 minutes later I realized my fog lights were not working and upon further investigating, one of the lenses were cracked. When I called to report the issue I was advised that because I did not identify the problem prior to leaving the premises, I was unable to report the issue or submit a claim. Tried to let the person on the phone know I had an infant that was on a plane 8 hrs so a full inspection of the car was impossible. No reasoning or assistance. Due to a cab accident, outside the Holland Tunnel, I was running late; Value Parking still got me to the airport and the correct terminal in time(been dropped off by other companies at the wrong terminal before). They leave you with a contact card that has directions on the back that ensure you will not miss the pick-up from your return flight. I received my luggage, called Value Parking, walked to the pick-up location outside baggage claim, and was picked up within 5 minutes. 5 minutes later, I was looking at my freshly, washed Wrangler! I can't leave a review only on their efficiency; Jim and the staff at Value Parking are the most polite business in the NYC-NJ metropolitan area. I was greeted with smiles, hand-shakes, and gentle handling of my belongings. They do not have a long drawn out process of paperwork, which I appreciate; they do, however, ensure you understand the important parts. Jim provided me with bottled water on my way to the airport and on my arrival. The staff was pleasant to talk to, handled my luggage with care, and helped me take the top off my Jeep. They were all great guys, I stayed and chatted with Jim for an extra 15-20 minutes, thats how good of an experience I had. I will use their services the next time I fly out of Newark. As we were checking in with them, the driver was taking care of our luggage...The check in process was a breeze, took less then five minutes, only because there were other customers. They give you a card with instructions when you come back, this is to locate your vehicle and have it ready once you are picked up. We retrieved our luggage, called them, they told us to be a certain pick up location (told us they would be there in about 8 minutes but took less time)...the driver took care of our luggage...once we were picked up and taken back to the garage lot...our car was waiting for us!!! Upon pickup, the shuttle took so long to get us from the gate that we were 10 minutes over our reserved time. The company charged us for an entire extra day and refused to remove the charge. I understand their policy, but had their shuttles been on time, we wouldn't have been late. I'm originally from London and didn't know what to expect and boy was I blown away. It was easy to find. I parked by the entrance, by time I went into the office to hand over my keys - my bags were already in their vehicle ready to go to the airport. The guy who drove me was a pleasant man and got me there quickly and safely - in literally minutes. Left my car there for just under 2 weeks. I called as soon as I was leaving baggage reclaim to get my ride back and luckily they were already picking someone up, so they were already there outside the terminal! Fabulous. The driver loaded my bags up in the van, got back again quickly and safely to the parking. My car was waiting ready to go! I paid the bill, during this time my bags had been loaded up in the car. On my most recent trip I was unpleasantly surprised to see that Value no longer drops you at your gate for departure. We had 4 bags plus heavy shoulder bags to schlep across 2 busy streets plus 2 flights of escalator steps. The website still boasts gate drop off. Our driver tried several times to clear gate drop off for us but was declined permission from the main desk. I mentioned this problem upon return and hope they switch back to the old way of gate drop off. This is a deal breaker for me. read more

This was my first time leaving my car in a lot while on vacation and I am extremely satisfied with this company. Within minutes of our arrival to the lot, our bags had been loaded on a shuttle and we were on our way to the airport. When we returned from our vacation, we called the number provided on our claim ticket and the gentleman said the shuttle would arrive in 7-8 minutes but the driver actually arrived in about 3-4 minutes. When we arrived at the lot, the car was ready to go and the bags were loaded into the car as we settled our account. I will definitely be using this lot again when we go on vacation next year. Great experience with Value Parking this week. Easy reservation process and $10 deposit to hold our spot. A bit challenging to find the lot but Google Maps did the trick. It couldn't be easier on both ends - drop off and they parked our car and quickly put us in a van to the terminal. 5-10 minutes to the terminal. On our return, we called once we had our bags and the van was waiting by the time we walked to the specified pickup spot. Again, very easy and in 5-10 minutes we were back at our car. Quick check out where they put the very reasonable charge (approx $12/day total) on the same credit card I used for the deposit. Value Parking is everything you could ask for in an airport parking service. I used them last November when I went on my yearly trip to Japan. I usually fly out of JFK and not Newark, so this was a my first time using a parking service there, and I was a little bit nervous. I chose this place based on the positive Yelp reviews, and I am glad I did. I reserved online and they were ready for us when we arrived at around 5:00 AM as scheduled. The place is gated and they ask you if you have a reservation and then let us in. We were promptly escorted to the shuttle immediately which was already to go and then off to the airport. When we returned, they came and picked us up within five minutes of contacting them. When we arrived and ran in the office and quickly paid and our car was already warmed up and waiting for us and we were on our way back to Philly. Speedy service like that means a lot when you're getting off a plane after being trapped for 14 hours and exhausted and just want to get home. I was very pleased with the price, the service, and the convenience of it all. I plan on using them again this October when I return to Japan since I am flying out of Newark again. read more

When I picked up my minivan, there was a new 3 foot crack right in the middle of the front windshield. Surveillance video shows that the crack was not present when the car was dropped off. I asked the manager about redress for this, and was told to go take a hike. Management suggested that cold-weather was responsible for the crack, even though the van had been parked outside every day for the last eight years. They won't assist with a replacement window, and won't discuss rebate for the cost of the parking. Now I am out the cost of the front windshield, and the cost of parking. I would rather have left it on the street. read more
