Went here for the first time with Groupon and my experience was fine. Colton helped me and I was happy with his customer service. My only grudge was when they charged tax and disposable fees on top of what I already paid to Groupon at the end. I went back and looked at their Groupon deal and there was no mention of paying tax and disposable fees at the shop. They should update their Groupon deal by being clear on what customer will be responsible and paying at the store regardless. Transparent pricing for consumer is important in business and it should not be hidden from the customers to avoid any confusion and dissatisfaction at the end. read more

In late July 2025, I visited Valvoline Express Care for a check engine light on my 2013 Dodge Challenger. After paying over $700 for repairs, the light remained on. The technician, Saul, told me to drive the vehicle for 50 miles and return if the issue persisted. After more than a week and over 50 miles, the light was still on. I returned on August 9th and spoke with the service manager, Colton. I left the vehicle for further inspection. When I picked it up, I noticed fresh damage to my driver-side door. I immediately informed Colton, who inspected the damage, took photos, and said he would investigate. Later, he told me they had reviewed the footage, confirmed when the damage occurred, and that a technician had attempted to fix it with pliers, making it worse. He assured me the repair would be handled at no cost and mentioned they worked with a body shop in Lewisville. I asked for written confirmation, and he agreed to email it. On October 7th, I followed up, and he again agreed to send the email. On November 6th, I returned and learned Colton no longer worked there. The new manager--whose name I unfortunately cannot recall at this time--reviewed the damage, said he would speak with the owner, and also referenced the Lewisville body shop. On December 5th, I called again, and he stated he was still working on scheduling repairs and would call me back. As of today, I have received no follow-up and no resolution. I have since filed a complaint with the BBB, only to find that this location is not accredited or recommended, and that previous complaints have gone unanswered. At this point, I am no longer confident that the issue will be resolved, which is unfortunate, as I had been a loyal customer for the past five years. read more

I came for an oil change and they really went above and beyond for me. Everyone was kind and courteous. They let me know about some issues and the fix but I didn't feel pressured. They even fixed a panel on my car without me asking or asking for any payment. Great experience. read more

Do not go to this place for an inspection. COMPLETE SCAM. The manager tried to charge me $220 for new steering wheel fluid. Went to another place and they quoted me $5 for the exact same service. They also told me I needed new brakes to pass my inspection which I have been told other wise that is not true. Quoted me $1500 for the brakes. Bullshit!!!! I went in for an oil change and only an oil change. After two hours of waiting (I was one of the first people here after opening so I didn't have to wait on other cars) they called me out to tell me I needed new spark plugs, a new ignition coil, transmission service and coolant service. They literally took the spark plugs out to show me. While I appreciate being told what I can fix I didn't appreciate them doing this to my car when I only wanted an oil change and nothing else. I asked them if I could wait a few more days to handle the suggested repairs and they said yes of course. They very quickly put my car back together and when I went out to my car the hood wasn't even closed all the way and they didn't reset my oil life status, so I had to figure it out myself. Within ten minutes of me driving away my check engine light started flashing and my car started lurching. My car was working great when I pulled in and it just seems really fishy to me that it stopped working as soon as I drove away after they took things out that they weren't supposed to. Because of this I was unable to drive to Houston for a wedding later that day and had to buy a very expensive plane ticket 3 hours before departure. I'm an extremely forgiving person, but this really ruined my day and now I still have to go get my car fixed elsewhere because I don't trust them here. read more

Upon arrival, Rico didn't greet me or anything, just hastily told md to to pull my car to the back, which threw me off since I was already parked at the back. I informed him it was my first time there and wanted to ask one question. To which he responded, our mecanos are busy with customer car's right now. I was, in shock, he didn't even took the time to ask me if my question was related to a mechanical problem, which it wasn't. Then he told he was busy taking care of other clients, but everyone was sitting down and I was the only one standing at the counter. Clearly, he didn't want to help me. I ask me question anyway and he answered (I knows he could.) then, with an attitude gave the registration sheet told me yo fill it out and to have a seat. I couldn't happen to notice, there were two European descents and man did some ass kidding yo the white girls that had UT Southwestern scrubs. Obviously races, but he's Latino. Definitely hating on his own culture. He even complimented one of the girls last name and she told him it was polish and he was all impress. Poor thing. I only left one star because I had to. I want to save as many people as I can from risking their vehicle being ruined by the incompetent people who manage and own this location. I've given Valvoline Express on Mockingbird Lane more time than I should have to remedy their mistakes so this review is honestly way overdue. I took my Lexus in to get an oil change at this location. I bought a more expensive oil change because I usually go to Lexus...I wanted to make sure my car received the best they had to offer since I wasn't able to get in at Lexus that day and was in a rush to work. As part of the oil change package, Valvoline express also checks the fluids under the hood, mostly to try to upsell from just an oil change. The mechanic who checked my fluids left my radiator coolant cap loose. This caused all of my coolant to leak out, leading to the demise of my engine. My car was in perfect running condition prior to this and I keep up with regular maintenance. The owner has been avoidant and unprofessional. Every time I've spoken with an associate, they've told me he's relayed that he's out of town, out of the country, etc. The excuses are endless. They've been through multiple managers and associates since the beginning of me trying to get this remedied, but each one I've spoken to has been extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. Your vehicle is such an and important and expensive investment. You don't want to risk janky work being done and them trying to make you foot the bill if something goes wrong. Save yourself and take your car to a more prominent shop or dealership. read more

Upon looking for a decent, clean and honest mechanic for a state inspection, I was cautious to visit a newly opened shop with 1 star; however, I took a shot. The guy was great. The shop was clean and they honored a coupon they provided after messaging them for the costs. Not only was I in and out of there, the experience itself was quick, painless, and honest. Asked for full synthetic 5w30. They put in 520 and installed a part I didn't ask for. Asked her at the end if they put in the correct oil, she said yes. Mentioned they were under staffed--maybe you make mistakes sometimes--regardless, I was over-charged along with products that weren't requested.
