***Didn't put all 5 lugs on tire and tighten them, wheel could have come off*** I'll lead with the headline, they aren't detail oriented here, my wife or I could have died. I later took my car for a detail and they saw the wheel lock wasn't on one of my wheels. Normally with there tire shops they put the other 4 lug nuts on and the wheel lock last because it tighten downs with a wheel lock key that has a different pattern. The kid they have working put it on, but didn't tighten it down because those things aren't meant to come off. They refunded a portion of the service fee that covered most of the cost for a new set of wheel locks. Don't trust them to do a good job anymore. read more

These guys are great! Been here multiple times with tire problems and they fixed it right on the spot and got me rolling. But I had a problem with my canister purge valve this trip which I made the mistake of bringing it somewhere else first. My car was in and out of this other shop for a good 2 months. They could not fix it and I was so angry they finally refunded everything. Took my Mustang here because the check engine light was on. It was running lean, dumping fuel, and was very obviously the O2 sensor. When I dropped the car off, I told the guy what was wrong, and since I'm a woman, he shut me down immediately and was rude AF. They told me it needed spark plugs 40K miles too early, but due to a warranty claim, I had to okay it since they submitted that or void the warranty. They replaced the air filter, and cleaned out the throttle body thousands of miles too early and replaced the grill shutter. None of which addressed the issue I took it in for. They did refund me $200 of the $400 I paid out of pocket, but still collected over $1000 to do absolutely jack shit. Once my husband gave them my number, they would only answer his calls or speak to him. I don't know if it is the fact that I have a vagina, or the fact that I have a vagina and I'm taller than the guy, but I was treated like an idiot when I just wanted my car fixed. Complete and utter scam. Do not go here. Once they did all this, they said they didn't know and I needed to come get the vehicle. Guess what? It was the O2 sensor. Came back for an update. $1200+ to fix the power steering and they didn't fix anything. Power steering still struggling, leak still happening. I called to explain the sensitivity of my battery and they let the battery die three times. And they don't have jumpers to restart your car. Total waste of money (for a jeep Wrangler, that's easy for mechanics to fix). AVOID! They don't know what they're doing and don't pay attention to your requests or details. They take no accountability and make no offers to fix their mistakes. read more

It was a 2 week job, but they called me several times to let me know how the job was going and they had my car ready when they promised. I went to Hamms tire to replace my rear passenger tire. The next day my car started to shake if I drove over 50 miles per hour. A nice gentleman referred me to colletts tire shop and said Hamms staff didn't balance my tire, that's what's causing the car to shake when you go over a certain speed. Chris was there and I told him the situation and immediately did what was necessary. The staff balanced my tire. I did a test run, my car is not shaking and I was going over 60 miles per hour. This place is great! Had to drop my car off for a day for some repairs. They were very nice, they drove me back to my place & picked me up when my car was ready. I live close but still not too many places will do that. Marcos was awesome, he replaced both my catalytic converters. A day later I had a concern & he insisted I bring it by just to be safe. I brought my own converters which prevents me from getting warranty on them so he didn't have to make my concern a priority but he did. This shop is reasonably priced, knowledgeable, considerate & caring. I will absolutely be coming back! read more

I went for regular maintenance after getting back from a long trip. I was already several miles overdue so I was both excited and ready to get my car ready to go and feeling smooth. At the end of the service the tech said they only do oil changes and do not check or refill any other fluids. This is something that I always have done as part of regular service, so I was pretty disappointed to learn that I would need to go somewhere else to get actual maintenance. I haven't decided if I will seek a charge back through my bank because of the hassle and the fact I know need to go somewhere else, but I recommend for others to seek more traditional shops for your car's maintenance. read more

I checked online with Pep Boys and found tires for under 100 dollars each I went to Pep Boys and they were busy so I waited for assistance. Then I was told the price would be 1000 dollars for four tires and that was the cheapest they had. I found Collett Tire Shop in internet and went there. I was immediately waited on before I could get out of the car. They offered me a variety of tires for less than Pep Boys including used tires that looked new for $40.00 each, installed. In about ten minutes I had good tires installed and was done. No wasted time. Immediate courteous service. Saved me over $800 dollars for tires on car I was getting ready to sell anyway. Very reliable service all three times I've gone. The guys that work there are easy going and upfront about problems related to your vehicle. I like that they don't try to sell you synthetic oil or any bells and whistles. What you see is what you get. Service was prompt and they don't charge for putting air in your tires (I don't know if this is standard or not but it was awesome of them). It looks like the place has undergone some improvements, the storefront looks much nicer, maybe some remodeling but not totally sure. Will come back! read more

if i could leave one star i would leave one star. the absolute worst mechanic/tire shop in dallas. i originally took my car there because it had a flat tire it turned into an all day affair. when they returned my car they gave my husband my wheel lock when i looked at it i immediately noticed it was the wrong one. i went back there and asked them for mine back and returned the one they gave me. they said come back in a few days and they will look for mine. i came back and they said we don't have yours and there's nothing they can do except look for it. they then said they would charge me 15 a wheel to break the locks off. i asked for them to make this situation right. they refused and said they would call me if they found my wheel lock. do not go here. they are so rude and completely useless at what they do. as of now i have had to take my car somewhere else pay and continue to pay for their stupid mistakes. read more

My daughter had a flat tire,which the lug nut was stripped,we took it to Collett tire shop ,they said they could remove it,they had the car all day and had to chisel the lug off , there are four locking lugs on each wheel , which they took the bad tire off,with our lock ,never replaced it and gave us a different lock back , we took it back and asked for our lock back , so we could remove the other 3 lugs with locks ,and replace them with regular lugs, well there response was, we gave you the lock back ,I asked them if they could look for it , but they couldn't be bothered, and said they would call us in three days, if they found it , I said what if she gets a flat on the highway,and cannot remove the tire ,as she has no lock,he shrugged his shoulders, okay then I said ,can you get these other locking nuts off, he said leave the car here all day,and we can break them off ,and it would be $15.00 per lock !! These rip off guy's didn't even try to make good after losing our lock!! I would never recommend these guys for repairs or anything they just don't give damn !! Please avoid them ! I took the car around the corner to Columbia tire shop, and they removed the lug locks in 5 minutes,and was only $5 a lug ! Big difference. So if you have any tire problems AVOID COLLETT SHOP they are bad news, If I could, I wouldn't even left them a star,they are that bad .
