My husband had never been to a Valvoline before but I love them! He originally planned to take our truck to Jiffy Lube but agreed to try out Valvoline when Jiffy Lube was closed. First, my husband was won over by the fact that Valvoline was open on Sundays when Jiffy Lube is not. What he really loved is that we stayed in the truck during the entire oil change so we knew exactly what was being done to our vehicle. They didn't try to push a bunch of things for us to purchase that our truck didn't need and were fast and efficient. They were open with us about costs and quality of oil without forcing upsale and I was able to find a great coupon online. I Have Been Getting my oil changed at Valvoline since i can remember I understand Supply chain issues and tbat i drive a VW Jetta. I went to 3 lications 1st was out of my full synthetic oil Menaul location. (This is the 2nd X) then Juan Tabo location didnt have my filter. I ended up at San Mateo location no filter so i went and bought one but my bad got the wrong one. I also bought windshield wipers that the employee was kind enough to install for me. Overall Employees were nice its just the Time it took for what in the past was a Simple Oil Change... WHY did it take so long???? Needed fuel filters changed on 3500 Ram. Line was long, asked the team member to make sure it was in stock. He left and came back with an affirmation. Waited 60 minutes, then he comes back and says we don't have the filter. I called him out and he said he did check the inventory - "2 days ago". The worst was that he didn't even see how wrong he was. The MOD Daryl was fully aware of the situation and stood idle and useless. Subsequently, spoke to Nicole in corporate. She said she would forward my concerns to the District Manager, but could not provide his/her name or number. So far, No call. Not surprised. Should have gone to the dealer and paid more for truly expert service and more than likely, less of a headache. Update, someone called from the store and offered 1/2 off. Like I'd go back there. This place has outstanding customer service. I went there because the other two Valvoline oil stations near me did not have the type of oil for my vehicle. (Their shipment of oil had not been delivered yet). The tech Roland, was friendly and courteous and did not pressure me for any additional services and briefly went over my vehicle minor maintenance recommendations. I had been really happy with this place, but on my last visit, they really underperformed I had an oil change with full synthetic oil and a radiator flush. I had just had my vehicle detailed which was a waste, because they got antifreeze all over my truck. It seemed that the guys didn't know what they were doing. Later, I learn, that my oil was way under-filled. I was on a trip 300 miles from home, in the middle of the night and in the desert far from anything. Not the professionals that they charge for. And so, Ivan, a representative from Valvoline calls today in response to my 1-star updated review. I filled him in one what occurred. He was defensive and stated why Valvoline wasn't responsible for NOT putting oil back during an oil change, that time had passed and that in itself resolves them of responsibility. Then with an attitude he asks "what do you want from us?" Well, my truck that has ALWAYS been well and properly maintained is smoking and burning oil since being driven without oil. I didn't ask Ivan for anything, and he definitely wasn't offering to have my truck checked out to see for Valvoline's sake and mine, what damage had occurred. And so I said that I am going to continue to update my post with my experience. Rudely, he said that he was going to end the call and I said bye. He continued talking and I said bye again, and he finally hung up. Is this really the guy that Valvoline wants representing them? And for those who have had similar or worse experiences, I am open to initiating a Class Action lawsuit. I know that I paid abundantly for Full Synthetic oil and a cooling system flush that ended up more on the outside of my truck than in its radiator. My oil reservoir, when I changed my oil the next day, had only a little more than the 2 quarts that I added when my check engine light came on the day before. The oil filter that Valvoline installed is half the size of a typical oil filter and of the ones that I've alway used. Their cutting corners has costed me time, money and may possibly shorten the life of my vehicle. read more

I called to make sure my cars oil filter was in stock and was greeted by the most friendliest gentleman. I came in to get my oil change and was advised by Julian that my headlight was out. I thanked him and advised him that another location had advised me it needed to go to a mechanic to change. Julian took it upon himself to further look into the headlights and was able to remove the headlights and further find out that I didn't need to replace it, it had become disconnected. I truly appreciate Julian's effort and his wonderful customer service. This is the best Valvoline in Albuquerque. read more

Let me start this review by saying that I go to dealership for oil change and other maintenance needs for my car. Recently, I found out that synthetic oil change is better for car engines. I contacted a local Chevy dealership inquiring about sybthetic oil change but they never got back to me, so through Yelp, I founf this location. They were super friendly, and they did offer me other services which I took. I found a $10 coupon on their website. Overall, I spent $144 (coupon included) for a full synthetic oil change and two filter replacement (see photo). This is much more what I usually pay for oil change but will come back in a few months. It seems like I will be a regular customer here, unless I find a better option. read more

I complained to my wife and she shared that she went to the Valvoline Shop north of Coronado Center. She never felt any pressure to get anything other than what she requested. The guys that work here are really nice and polite, as well as extremely helpful! They don't try to pressure you or sell you things you don't need. If they say a filter is dirty, they'll show it to you. After the oil change, they'll bring out the dipstick to show you it's full. I really didn't know what to expect, as a first time car owner I expected to wait hours for a oil change. The wait was pleasant, I sat in my car and the guys got me taken care of in a matter of minutes. They recommended some things here and there but I felt zero pressure to purchase any other services. Boy, these guys benefit from the fact you can't give zero (or negative stars). (BACKGROUND - I understand the pros and cons, as my car has a turbocharger and requires synthetic. But, I usually change the oil myself, and would rather use conventional and just change it more often.) I arrive with my wife's car, and they start the high-pressure sales pitch for synthetic. No. So, they drain the oil, and come back and tell me that the manufacturer REQUIRES Valvoline synthetic. Er, no they don't. Yep, right here on their computer - Valvoline 0-20 is required. Mind you, I have never heard that anywhere before. Pay no attention to the book, pay no attention to the dealership when they change your oil. Heck, pay no attention to the service manager at the dealership (who I called while I was waiting). It says so right here. So, after telling me that my owner's manual is wrong (really?), I am told that they are not liable for any damage to my engine because I won't listen to them. Really? What if you don't put oil in it at all? Not liable (ridiculous, right?). At this point, this is bailing water on the Titanic, so I am ready to go. Oh bummer, dude - we already drained your oil - now you can't go anywhere! Nice, in the Middle East, they would call me a hostage. But, at Valvoline - it's just our business model. Rate the oil change? Interestingly, also 0. Said they refilled my washer fluid - they didn't. Said they checked the air - yup all four tires - 40 psi. So weird - my air pressures were different when I checked it 5 minutes later. Reset the oil change light - yup, check that box. But, you didn't. Further proof you can't negotiate with kidnappers. Interesting note - they don't list prices anywhere in their shop!!! I think that is just their M.O. - drain your oil and then negotiate. The price for conventional is $42!!! For $10 less, go to the Midas down the street, where they rotate your tires for free as well! read more

This location is the one I like, and I have been coming here for long time. The workers are quick, efficient, and always polite. I went to get a conventional oil change at this location. I told them before entering that I wanted a conventional oil change. After entering and giving them my payment they told me they do not have any conventional oil! They then told me they have synthetic they can give me - at an additional charge! Of course they already started the oil change process. I looked around the shop and in the corner is large containers of conventional oil - hmmm.
