I told him that that guy asked to unlock my passenger door wondering why? He did explain that he was going to check my internal filter. What would have been nice of they explained that instead of just asking to unlock the door. Also the price for the service was a one time deal meaning this was my first and last time going. They also advertise a free top-off service, but when you actually try to use it, they suddenly have excuses. I was told my vehicle "didn't need" a top-off, even though that's not the point of offering a complimentary service. On another visit, they claimed I had missed my top-off appointment -- which was completely untrue, and I had not even reached the mileage limit yet ,and the staff tried to get to pay for an oil change even though he had just told me that I did not need a tap off because my oil was still full. Boltz Automotive read my post and reached out to me letting me know what time and day they would be available to look at my vehicle and do a diagnostic on my vehicle for $150 and let me know exactly what work needed to be done and the $150 would go towards the repairs if I decided to have service completed through them. I would say within 24 hours of making the appointment for the diagnostic to be performed on my car and actually bringing it into the shop to be serviced. My car was complete and ready to drive again. I am very satisfied with the work that was performed on my vehicle. The staff at the shop is also all very friendly. 10 out of 10 I would definitely recommend the shop to everyone with any car issues. The price I paid was amazing and I'm a super happy customer.

When I got to my destination in Illinois I noticed oil spots under the car. Took it to the VW dealership and was told whoever changed my oil reused the gasket for the plug. This is unacceptable. Also was told the oil filter hadn't been changed because it still had a VW oil filter on it. Said the oil pan was put back all wonky. I had to pay another $100 to get the problem fixed. I would not go to Strickland Bros for an oil change, you probably won't get the service you pay for but you will get problems you didn't expect.
