May2023: 5: I return to this location with my vehicle to get it serviced. Each of the workers I saw on this occasion were capable and competent. The workers quickly performed the needed oil change on this occasion. Sept2022:5: I stopped by this location because I was short of time and my oil change light in my vehicle came on as I was driving. I wanted to get an oil change before I headed out of town. The workers who were working on my truck appear to be competent and capable. They checked in their system to see if I was a previous customer and advised I had to fill out a document to be put into the system. They checked under the hood to check out my battery, verified my tire pressures, checked and changed my air filter on the engine. I knew the air filter needed changing because I was told a week ago when I had my brakes checked. I forgot about the filter, but the worker found it and advised that it needed to be changed. Horrible experience at this location. First, I purchased a groupon like I always do and had changed my oil at the Flower Mound location for years. Last week I went to get full synthetic oil change on my 2018 Chevy Silverado only to be told they were out of the oil. To my surprise, I couldn't believe it but I was like "oh, well...not a big deal." Then, today Feb 15, 2023 I called to make sure they had the oil stocked so that I didnt drive 10 miles there only to be told again they were out....oh no, this time I was told they had the oil, BUT NOT THE DARN OIL FILTER!!!! Inexperienced technicians. Wife got stuck with a dead battery near this store. I called and they said yes, we have the battery for your car. They put it in, but couldn't get the battery cover back on. They tried for 15 minutes and said their battery was "slightly higher in size and it wont fit back on". they said, "you really don't need it, just stick it in the trunk". I drove to the Valvoline near my house where I usually go, and asked them to make sure the sold me the correct battery and if so, why wont the cover fit? The technician there popped off the cables, placed the cover on and put the cables back. Had it done in 2 minutes. No Charge! If you need to go to Valvoline, go to the Argyle store on US 377. Just save your time and money and don't go there. This place is the worst and there are to many other places to go get an oil change done. I mean you could go here if you don't mind waiting an hour in your car to get an oil change done while you watch employees standing around not working. Service here just doesn't seem to be what it use to be, and seems every time now that I have been there on the weekend to get just a simple inspection there machine is down. They also use to come out and greet you and ask what all you were needing to be done. read more

I'll start by saying I've used other Valvoline locations for oil changes that have been so great. However, this location is terrible. The employees did not seem trained/capable, they were walking around looking for missing tools, and it seemed like nobody knew what they were doing. The employees were wandering around most of the time and not actually working on cars. Multiple cars came in after me but turned around and left because it was taking so long. This location is not professional and they do not have organized processes. They took so long to do a simple oil change and I do not feel confident they did a good job. I hope their management team reviews these comments so that improvements can be made. Until then, please do yourself a favor and do NOT come here for your oil change. Afterwards I left with a sick feeling in my stomach. Terrible. UPDATE: to make the situation even worse- I used a $7 coupon. On my invoice I was charged $6.99 for "Extra Oil". I have a small vehicle that has never required extra oil. And never was the extra oil charge mentioned to me during the service. The guy who helped me complained about the following in a span of 5 minutes: 1. The shop was open on a Sunday 2. It was busy 3. I asked to check my air filters I've worked jobs I wasn't passionate about before I get it. But to complain like that in front of customers is incredibly unprofessional. I could have forgiven all of that and not written this review had it not been for the fact that he overfilled my truck with oil by 1.5 quarts and tried to hide it. He confirmed with a coworker that he had overfilled it, and then thinking I hadn't notice he put the dipstick back in without showing me, closed my hood and proceeded to check me out. Makes you wonder what they do when their customers don't notice. When I asked to see the dipstick he rolled his eyes, showed it to me, and when I asked "isn't that a little too full?", he responded "yeah, do you want us to take some out?" I said yes, he rolled his eyes again and finally got the job done. Mistakes happen, no big deal. Own it, fix it. But his attitude from the jump as well as him trying to hide a mistake that could potentially ruin my truck is unprofessionalism on a level that I haven't seen in a long time. The individual that replaced the oil filter obviously was not trained, firstly he didn't know how to loosen the filter and secondly when he removed it, he let the oil inside the filter drain into the engine compartment. I now have oil on my hoses, belts, frame and garage floor. I watched the two of them look at the mess, they didn't even try to clean it off or let me know. This location has been busy all week long. I dropped my car off. In about 3 hours I called and it was done. When I went to pick the car up, the staff were so helpful. this is the worse place I have been. Will not be back. Been a customer for years until now. Sat there for approx 4 hrs. Went for help w fixing a window (would not roll up). Was told not a problem they could take care of it. Due to the starting to rain day, They put my car in the shop that sec. I'm thinking great! Thank goodness. Told them to go ahead n do oil change and to plz check battery (it was flashing 14%) and had no idea what that meant. But made it clear window was priority! After 3 hours, told they didn't have time for window, changed the oil ($90) and battery was bad but couldn't replace. I was so angry but stayed calm. Have asked for the owner to call me.......still waiting, even made follow up calls. I will post photos of the way I drove out of the place. WILL NEVER BE BACK AFTER BEING A CUSTOMER FOR YEARS!!!! I came in to get my oil changed and tires rotated. I have used this location for many years and have not had issues. They do seem to have quick turnover of employees. They had one employees car in bay one where they do the oil changes. I was told they had been working on it all day. It seems to me they should do that after hours or in a bay that does not hold up customers. It took them 45 minutes to change my oil and I did not get my tires rotated because the only have lifts on the front bays and the employees car was in front of mine. They were waiting to change me over to bay two after those oil changes were done. I think they have lost a customer on this one. read more

My sister was there with Groupon to get an oil change. Her Kia SUV requires only conventional oil. The Valvoline representative insisted that her car needs full synthetic oil which costs 79.99. I want to preface this by saying that EVERYONE I interacted with there was very polite and respectful. I usually don't like giving a business such a poor review but this is a case of dishonesty and borderline fraud (likely at the corporate level rather than the actual staff level). I suppose it's possible that the employees I encountered were simply ignorant about the facts concerning synthetic motor oil (though that's hard to believe given changing motor oil was their profession). More likely they were parroting the "official line" of their employer (Valvoline). But that official line is a lie. I received a full synthetic oil change. I only went there because I had a $25-off coupon. They didn't have the correct engine air filter for my model car which was forgivable. When they were done changing the oil I was given a sticker to remind me to come in for another oil change at 3,000 miles or 3 months. Well, full synthetic motor oil is rated for 7,500 to 10,000 miles! I pointed this out to them and they simply repeated the line that Valvoline says the oil should be replaced at 3,000 miles. Telling a customer they need to come back for another oil change in LESS THAN HALF of the oil's life rating is simply dishonest. One tech there conceded that with synthetic oil you could probably stretch to to as high as 5000 miles. But that is still simply untrue. That is, unless there's something markedly inferior about Valvoline's full synthetic oil I suppose. When I asked if they could discount my bill by the wholesale price of the air filter (since it wasn't changed), I was told I had already been given $25 of the oil change and that they could "only apply one coupon". I wasn't trying to apply another coupon; I was asking that they pass along their savings on the unused part. Kept replying in terms of "coupons". I assume the corporate policy is that the shop can't reduce the price on service unless a coupon is involved (and only one coupon can be applied). If they had explained it to me that way (that they were constrained by company policy), that would be unsatisfying but understandable. Instead it was like we were speaking different languages. Again, I want to repeat that everyone spoke to me in a respectful and polite manner. It was not an ugly exchange. My advice to the staff there is to find a job where they are not required by their employer to tell falsehoods to customers. read more

After multiple visits with both our cars, I have now had issues with the past two visits. On one visit they did not replace the crunch washer resulting in a leak. On my last visit one of the employees left a oily shoe print on my off-white trim. I filled out an online survey and was contacted by their corporate customer service department. At the end of our conversation they stated someone from this location would contact me to correct the issue. It has been almost 1 month and no contact! And I have not been able to get all the stain out. I now have a constant reminder of this locations nonexistent care for their customer's satisfaction!!!! read more

Went here because all the other places I could get my oil changed were super busy to the point that we would've had to wait 3-6 hours. They were very friendly and quick, they also won't just change and oil filter and charge you, they ask if you want to change the oil filter and show you how dirty it is and such, so that was a big plus. Also they show you the dip stick after they get the oil changed. The building needs a little maintenance, as there were cracks in the window and AC was escaping, but not super terrible. Another downside was that I have cloth seats and the person who worked on my car had really bad BO and now my car has a smell so I had to purchase a airfreshener for my car and now I'm thinking I'm gonna need to febreeze the crap out of my car, lol. Or wash my seats somehow. Anyways not to bad. read more
