Turn away and go to your vehicles dealership! I've been to valvoline twice with my vehicle, the second time which was the end of last year for oil change. The guy that checked me in was talking to me in a disrespectful manner. Anyways I got my oil change months later I took it to another place for my oil change. They turned me down and said previously valvoline didn't do my oil change proper. They told me to go to my vehicles dealership which I did. I Lost lots of money from valvoline's negligence. I'll never be a customer with valvoline again nor will my friends or family. Save your hard working money and headaches and go to your vehicles dealership ! I rate this atleast a 0/5 read more

Stripped the heads on my skid plate and broke it getting it off. Not sure they even used the right oil.

This still is a great valvoline, assistant manager is very friendly and trains his staff well. Recommended if you are in the area. Even helped to resolve issue from another valvoline. read more

I have been taking my vehicles here for a long time, This time I had an oil change done. Driving home my check engine light came on and I was very concerned. I parked the vehicle in the driveway and After finding there was over a quart of oil in my driveway I quickly called the person driving the vehicle and told them not to park it in there driveway as it was leaking a lot of oil. I had a neighbor who is a mechanic look it over and found it was down 3 quarts of oil and the oil filter was loose and never tightened up when the job was done. Site tech says since we turned on the vehicle and revved it at 2 thousand RPM it should have leaked at that point if the cap wasn't tightened. They could have damaged the motor very badly. They now need to do an investigation and see the vehicle. This vehicle is not going back to them. Since We already remedied the issue I am not sure what they are going to investigate and determine. However, they will not give a reimbursement from the location where the service was performed at. They expect a customer to wait for a corporate-issued reimbursement if it's determined they caused the issue which they clearly did. As a customer, I am putting a stop payment on my CC. I will never take a vehicle to a Valvoline Instance Oil change in light of their terrible customer service practices and lack of ability to make the customer whole at the time that the issue occurred, I can't imagine the headache you would go through if the engine had blown to get that resolved with them. you would go weeks without a vehicle. and a resolution, Do Not take your vehicle to one of these places. read more

very unfriendly mechanic today. I purchased a Groupon before arriving at the shop and he said it has to bre purchased 24 hours in advance. I checked fine print and that was not anywhere. he said it's not a rule but they might not get paid. my credit card was charged so thats not my problem. I have gone here for 15+ oil changes over the years and always had a good experience but I'd never seen mike before. friendly customer service goes a long way. read more

Great place for a quick oil change, and you don't even have to leave the comfort of your car. Service was quick and courteous. Seem like honest people. Prices are reasonable definitely when adding on a coupon or two. Since moving to Hershey I have been there twice and will probably continue to use them. read more

As a frustrated customer of Valvoline Instant Oil Change, I feel compelled to write about my recent experience. To put it simply, I am beyond disappointed with the service I received. During the routine oil change, the technician spilled oil over the serpentine belt. When pulling out of the garage to exit, the serpentine belt slipped off. I explained to the technician outside there's oil underneath that was spilled. It was obvious to both of us but she was insistent on denying that her technician spilled oil. I understand that accidents can happen, but the lack of accountability and professionalism displayed by the Valvoline Instant Oil Change staff was unacceptable. Rather than taking ownership of their mistake and providing a solution, they were defensive and dismissive of my concerns. After the technician put the belt back on I had to take my vehicle to a competent mechanic to ensure the vehicle was safe to drive. It is truly disheartening to see a company that claims to prioritize customer satisfaction fall so short in their efforts. I urge others to reconsider their choice of service provider and avoid Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Hershey at all costs. read more

Want to come in for oil change (will my trailer too) I saw several cars in front of me. I was not sure how long will the wait be. I park my car and trailer, wanted to come in and ask somebody.. the gentleman came out and asked me to move. Which is understandable. I told him I will not park there.. I wanted to see how long the wait so I can make my decision. The answer is about 45 minutes. Don't wait is too long and he was not very friendly so I pour my tower to somewhere else. read more

Tried to scam me - was told my "A/C pressure is too high" and was pressured into getting it redone for $150. Took it to an ACTUAL mechanic who had no idea what Valvoline were talking about. Will never come back here, avoid. read more

Took my car in for an oil change. Was taken right into the bay. My car worked with no problems. Tried to sell me various parts and services beside the oil change. I declined except for removing the corrosion from my battery. Oil change was completed my car wouldn't start. Dashboard lit up with flashing lights. Keep in mind no corrosion was removed at this point. Tried jumping the battery my car started, turned my car off to restart the dashboard lit up again and the car wouldn't start The techs were giving their two cents worth and the statement that stick with me was " you are parked under a heater and just came in from the cold". That statement was more than I could tolerate. Don't presume because I am a woman I am stupid. Finally got out of there I took my car to two different automotive repair shop. Didn't need a battery Thank goodness I didn't waste any more more money there. I have no idea what was done to my car but never again. read more

The employees here are always incredibly pleasant. I work in Lancaster and that is usually where I run most of my errands, but the Hershey location is always SO much nicer than the Columbia Ave location. It's a chain place so services are generally the same across the board, but the kind staff are the reason I can have a lot of errands in Lancaster but still go to the Hershey location. A pleasant experience every time and the quick service is the best since I have a 9 month old who can sleep through my oil change. read more

Not a fan.went in for an oil change, tried to tell me I need FOUR NEW tires to pass inspection and charge me SEVENTY dollars to change my air filters. I said no to everything but the oil change, went elsewhere and was told my tires were perfectly fine, and I changed both air filters myself for a grand total of $20... They were fast and did fine with the oil change but would not recommend. read more

Brought my 2011 Ford Explorer in for an oil change. When I pulled in, my air conditioning was working perfectly, the next day my AC did not work - at all. Called and spoke with the manager CJ - will be bringing in the car to see what they say. Hopefully they do the right thing and fix whatever they did to it. Will update this review with the results. As long as it gets fixed no harm no foul, mistakes happen. However I am not encouraged based on previous reviews.... fingers crossed. Update - CJ the manager took care of the problem, I didn't understand the explanation because I know zero about cars which is not his fault (haha). Friendly and professional doing the repair. Went to Valvoline today for an oil change because I could not get an appointment with my service station for another week and my oil was low. I was taken right in. A young man named Grayson took care of me. He was very professional and did not try to sell me on more then I needed. A few minute after he looked under my hood he pointed out to me that I Had a big hole in my intake hose. He patiently showed it to me and explained why it was a problem. He was kind and obviously very knowledgable. I am happy to say that I went right to my mechanic who was able to replace the part right away. I am confident that Grayson saved me from major problems down the road and I am very grateful and appreciate the time he took with me. The oil change was fast and very efficient too! read more

After talking with Customer Service, I was told that I'd hear from the District Manager. I did...Lisa called me during the time frame that I told Customer Service that I was NOT available to talk. Coincidence? I doubt it. I returned District Manager Lisa's call, three times. She doesn't answer her phone. Also, her VM box is full, so you can't leave a message. Wife has taken her vehicle here twice for a simple oil change. Each time they try to sell her over $300 of extra services. Which leads to her calling me in a panic. Very disappointed that they try to take advantage of their customers by intimidating them into thinking they need services that they don't.
