I had a great experience here yesterday 5/15. I think I pulled in right before closing without realizing (sorry crew) and they still did my oil change. I always get the same synthetic oil change when I go to Valvoline and use the online coupons. I was in and out of there in maybe 7 minutes. Fastest oil change ever, and I was impressed with their speed and happy I didn't have to deal with a bunch of upcharging and additional options because I don't go to valvoline for anything else, and only for an oil change in a pinch. Refused to service an oil change with my 2017 Volvo S60. Said they weren't familiar with the vehicle.

I'm from out of town and came here because I happened to need an oil change. Noticed my car leaking oil soon after. Took it into my normal shop where they told me "appears oil change from last shop did not replace drain plug gasket or used an incorrect gasket (smaller in size)." My car is definitely not unique enough to justify making this mistake. Had to get yet another oil change to fix it. Huge waste of money going here. read more

Gentlemen were very helpful and gave me all the information I needed, gave me options on oil and windshield wipers. Showed me oil level and saw it needed a change but was still in safe zone also showed me oil after. Last Saturday was the second and last time we've taken our vehicle here. The first time around, my wife took our 2008 Honda Pilot here and they were pushing the cabin air filter replacement. While up-selling doesn't bother me at all, when you use my vehicle as a training opportunity for a new technician and then put it back together incorrectly, I take issue with that. I brought it to their attention that since my last visit we have heard a hissing sound from the filter location and they informed me that it was more work than they were willing to do to check it. They did suggest that I can probably find a YouTube video on accessing the filter. Fine...I'm generally a DIY'er anyways. Flash forward 5 days and I notice a few small oil spots in my driveway (it's an 08, but I just crossed 80k and it's never leaked a drip of oil). I investigate and see it's dripping from the drain plug. I give it a turn with my fingers and sure enough, the drain plug starts unscrewing. I call tell them what's going on...they won't allow me to speak with a manager and I'm told they're not allowed to give out the regional managers name. (They must get a lot of complaints...) I will say this, the dudes here were at least polite. I'm sure that people call all of the time with ill intent and looking for a handout, because even though they were friendly, resolution was not offered. I was told the manager would probably get back to me in 2-3 days. It so happens that I own a socket set, I'll tighten it myself and will definitely not be returning to Valvoline on Marvin Road. Save yourself a headache (or potentially a costly mistake) and bring your vehicle elsewhere. read more

Heard the Tech snap my dipstick handle and then tried to play it off by telling me its stuck so I needed to pull it out for liability purposes. Forcing the blame on the customer when you clearly broke something is not how business should be done. read more

Customer service today 9/29/21 at noon was great; super respectful, helpful and had vehicles in and out. We've always had great work and great customer service coming here though. No ones lying about your vehicle, telling you need something fixed that's fine and they've always been super helpful in showing me what to look for. My teen has also come in for oil changes and has been treated with the same respect. read more

I went in for an oil change 3000 miles ago, after the oil change my car went down to 18 mpg from 24 mpg. Today I noticed that my air filter lid was not securely closed and a flap of the air filter was sticking out of the lid and the lid clip was not secured. I have never had a VALVOLINE do such a bad job!! I will never go back there again. read more

Not at all impressed with the changes from Oil Can Henry's. Went in Friday with my 2015 Hyundai Tucson, and tech tried to tell me that Hyundai *required* full synthetic (not at all true), despite dealership oil changes using the synthetic blend I'd been using. Less trustworthy, less friendly, higher prices. Return unlikely. read more

This is my first time going in for service since it changed over. I'm not impressed with the level of customer service since the change. Oil Can Henry's used to be so on top of it, friendly and not pushy. I noticed this time they didn't go through the vehicle like before, just made recommendations based on what felt like a sales pitch. I heard one of the guys ask another car "do you want to run through the light check or just skip it"!!!! Really? This was a service you provided. They indicated they added window washer fluid on my service sheet, when in fact it was still empty when I drove away. I didn't realize it until I had driven away. Didn't check tire pressure either. This place is so convent but unsure if I will return. read more

It is very expensive but quick. Be aware that you will pay a hefty price but they are really nice and do a good job. You don't get out of your car and just hang out while they go under your car and change the oil. They don't try to push extra things on you which is nice. read more

The light on the dash goes on this morning, oil life at 0%, time to change the oil. I'm in Lacey, WA visiting family. I'm from Eastern Washington. My brother said, go to "Oil Can Henry's"! He told me where it was and off I drove. I found the area, but no such business. Hmmm, I saw the Valvoline sign and pulled up and told them of my quest. No problem, I'm told, pull in. They are quick, professional and nice. Like really nice. They take my name, scan the vin number, confirm all my lights work, then ask me to pop the hood. He pulled out the dip stick and walked over the my window. He told me "You don't need your oil changed." "If I were to change your oil today, it wouldn't look any different than what I'm showing you." I told him about the (idiot) light and he asked how long ago I changed the oil? I said, 6 months, but we don't drive this car very often. He told me, "come back after 1500 more miles." He even I topped off the window washer fluid. No charge!!! With all the negative news around the world, I have found a rare gem . An honest person and company, that are not trying to take advantage of you. I know that I have found my new auto service when I'm in Lacey. Thank you, Valvoline. PS: When I get home, I'm going to look for my local Valvoline service center. I have used this location in the past and have been satisfied. They are expensive but more professional than the competition. Today I had my oil change. There was a young woman working there and she brought the dipstick to the manager, Chad, who was standing next to my car. He showed me the dipstick and then he tossed to toward the female employee who wasn't even looking at him. The dipstick bounced off of her and fell to the pavement. I asked him why he threw my dipstick on the ground and he didn't have a good answer. I told him it was totally un-cool. He walked away and never came back. I told the other manager, who was helpful and friendly (I can't remember his name) what happened as he completed my transaction. read more

Formerly Oil Can Henry's - an Interstate battery dealer. However - unlike every other dealer - they will not sell you a battery without charging you to install it!!! I believe this is against Interstate policies and will be filing a complaint with them as well. read more

I literally called this place 30 minutes before I got there to ensure that they were open... Not only did the person who answered the phone informed me that they were actually closing their doors one hour earlier than posted, but when I got to the location it was closed. LITERALLY 20 minutes later, and an hour before the man on the phone said they'd be closing! I drove 20 extra minutes with my oil needing changed! When I called to verify the information, same guy answered and was like "um sorry. Yea sorry. *click*" outraged. I specifically drove to this establishment because it was fantastic as Oil Can Henrys. This is greatly disappointing and frustrating. read more

I went to get my oil changed in late Dec. Didn't have any problems, until a week ago. My father checked my car and found that I only had a little bit of oil left, found that the little oil tank under my car had it's cap unscrewed and was leaking oil all over the underside of my car, and the hose under the hood of my car was unhooked. Had any air gone into the hose, it would have turned the check engine light on. You guys deliberately sabotaged my car to get me to go back and fix something that you purposefully broke. Had my dad not checked it, I would have been in serious trouble if I'd run out of oil in the middle of I-5. More than likely killed or seriously injured. Paid a little over $100 to get my oil changed, and you people endanger my life for more money. read more

Never again. Been there twice now and I ask for just the oil change and then get a crap load of upgrades and pushing this and that on me. I hate being upsold....hate it! This place is just trying to push for profit. Go somewhere else. read more

Place was decent but not great when it was Oil Can Henrys. Now it's all about the upgrades. Took the 2009 Toyota Corolla for a 3k service (109k). Service tech scanned the vin and found me in the computer. He asked me if I wanted the same oil from the last service or what the dealer recommends. We had had several previous services with OCH, and beside the occasional cabin filter or transmission flush question, it was okay. Not anymore. We didn't even get passed the oil question! The oil we had been using was not even offered and the tech said the "only" oil available was $79 or $89. Nearly three times the original cost. Last time I was told I needed a battery (3 year old truck), and they had the same prices as Costco. Turns out that was misleading. We are done with Valvoline. read more

I'm surprised by the bad reviews of this place. I've been taking my cars here for the last few years and have never had any issues. The employees are always nice and thorough. Yes, they do mention other services that your car needs but they are NEVER pushy. But what businesses don't try to sell you more these days? Even Panera tries to get you to "add a pastry for $.99". I haven't noticed much of a change from when they were Oil Can Henry's. If anything, the employees are more consistent. When it was Henry's, there were always new employees. Until I experience something negative here, I will continue to take my cars to them. read more
