My wife just went for an oil change, they charge her 36.99 for a 13 inch rear wiper blade~ on top of that got charged for a filter twice~ once that supposed to be included with the oil change, and a separate oil filter charge for 22.99! Ive been going to Valvoline for oil changes for the past 3 years. San Clemente location is the closest to me and the most convenient and I've never had any issues. July 26th, I get there at about 10am. It's usually busy but it goes by pretty fast most times. Today it took about a little over an hour from the time that I got there to when I left. Thats not the issue although after everything, that was the cherry on top. I digress, the issue was the woman who works here with the butterfly tattoos and the glasses. She was so rude and unfriendly. 1st she let another car go before me even-though she knew I was there first. Then when I finally said something she didn't apologize her response was "she's not getting her oil changed yet". 2nd, I pop the hood and when she's looking at the engine filter and takes it out she tosses my filter on to the battery. Didn't place on top of the battery, she literally threw like a frisbee. The other guy grabs it and comes to show me (Brandon). So now im like watching everything she does after this because why is she handling my car parts that way?! 3rd she goes to put air on my tires while Brandon is talking to me and I notice she only put air in 3 tires (front passenger, back passenger, and back driver) and moves on to the next car. Brandon advises that the tires are good and they'll check the oil next at which point I have to tell him to check the front drivers side tire because she skipped it. He then asks her hey did you do all the tires, mind you shes already moved on to the next car, so she says no I didn't. He then adds air to the tire she missed. At the beginning of my interaction with her I thought she had a learning disability and I didn't want to make it a big deal but I was already feeling like she may put the wrong oil in or mess something up. Then I move up to get the oil changed, she comes back and pulls the hose with the oil, pulls it out getting oil all on the front passengers side ( which by the way I know you guys record audio and video but I wanted to have my own proof so at this point I have a video of that and at the end of my oil change, in your video you will see Brandon wiping the oil from the front of my car). She asked everyone if my car was ready for oil and proceeds to add the 4.40qts of oil that the guys reiterated to her( now I'm not even sure that she put in a.) the correct oil and b.) the correct amount) but she asks me to turn on the car and turn it off then pulls out what I guess is the oil stick wipes it, sticks it back in, takes the stick back out super fast its wobbling everywhere and she wipes it again does the same thing again and comes to the driver window to tell me "this is your oil" with the stick in hand and I'm like "what am I looking at" she goes "oil". Thats it that was her response, Just like that. I had to ask Brandon to explain everything to me, to show me again what I was supposed to be looking at because thats literally what her answer was. I had to ASK if my battery was oK, ask if the fluids were good and topped off. He let me know my bed pan was damaged. Nobody checked my cabin air filter or asked if I wanted it replaced which I'm only assuming it has to be replaced but I didn't get to see it because nobody checked so i'm not sure. My experience is usually as follows; Park, someone explains the status of my vehicle, same person explains what the next steps are and what they're about to do, then explains what my car needs, then does oil change, they take my payment and I'm confident that my car was serviced correctly and i'm on my way. Today was not that and I am not confident that I got what I paid for. Teach that woman to not take her frustrations out on your paying customers. Now i'll have to drive to another location because I will not feel safe with this woman servicing my car again if I were to come back. Hopefully she put the correct amount of oil and fluids in my car. read more

They consistently try to upsell you. I had a tire rotation done and 10 minutes after driving away, the tire pressure light came on. My tires were all different types of pressures & I had to get it checked at another shop. It turns out, they had left a bolt loose on one of my tires! This made me feel unsafe & I would not recommend their tire rotation service. They even left a dent in my car as one of their employees bumped into my car! I realized I need my oil changed this week and have a heavy schedule for 2 weeks out so I decided to stop at this location instead of going to my regular mechanic whom I trust so was a bit skeptical... I was surprised at the professionalism of the young staff. Naum in particular was great in every respect. Explained everything prior to starting.
