I have been going here for years for my oil changes and there was always a great Manager there who has recently left and it is quite noticeable. I never felt such pressure To get other things done on my car like I did recently. I was told ! had to use synthetic oil and found out that as a lie meanwhile I have been paying much more because of this. also they told me that my transmission had a leak and even splashed oil in it and took a picture to show me. that was a SKAM! I said I will take it to my mechanic. they kep insisting lI get my transmission fluid changed and I kept saying No! oh they said you may lose ur transmission (scare tactic) !! Thinking I was a weak woman who would fall into their manipulation. No! I left after I had to demand they use regular oil not synthetic and went to my mechanic who in turn told me they were lying about my transmission it was full and there were no leaks. the smell I had coming from the engine was the oil they three onto my oil pan and burning off. my mechanic power washed it off and smell is gone and NO LEAKS AT ALL!! BEWARE ANYONE GETTING OIL SERVICED HERE THEY ARE SKAMS AND WILL TRY TO MANIPULATE YOU INTO OTHER SERVICES YOU DO NOT NEED! I WILL NEVERRRRR USE VALVOLINE AGAIN! Waiting over an hour to get an oil change for them to finally tell me that they don't have my filter in stock

Brought car in for tire rotation at Valvoline Suffern NY. I discovered a note that a lug nut was missing on my invoice after leaving. The tech never told me about the missing lug even though I was feet away from him and he got me from the waiting room when the tire rotation was completed. Yes, they returned the car with the lug missing!! Also, Valvoline reports your information to Car Fax. You must opt out. Call your congressperson and get this changed to opting in. read more

My car needs to be towed and isn't able to be driven after this business worked on my car. This is UNACCEPTABLE! And they all have left telling me "it was a Saturday and they couldn't do anything else." Got a $19.99 postcard for an oil change in the mail. Came in on a Friday at noon. The lobby is well ventilated. The floors are in need of a sweep and mop. Complimentary coffee. There's one bathroom that feel like checking out. And large windows where you can watch those busy mechanics fix your cars problems. They try and upsell things and that's... expected. But I didn't feel bad turning them down. (I'm on a budget). The mechanics are good at what they do and it shows. They are constantly moving with efficiency. Not once did I see them check a clock or cellphone or anything that wasn't pertaining to their job. Great job! read more

They did a full check up while sitting In my car such as light checks , battery , filters etc. The two men who were working on my car both explain everything that needed to be change for the benefit Of the consumer not to just to sell up . Great experience using my Groupon to get an oil change, standard safety inspection and fluid check. I went on a Monday afternoon where two gentlemen worked diligently on my car. There was no wait, their service was great, and their work was efficient. One of them showed me the new oil that was replaced and I saw them refilling my windshield wiper fluid (that I've been meaning to refill but didn't quite get to). They let me know my break lights were out and of course offered to replace. I was in and out of there in less than 20 min! Thank you very much! Needles to say I will be back. read more

They help you get coupons to keep coming back, their not pushy with services that you don't need. They are fast, but they are excellent! Went to valvoline in Suffern for the first time. People were nice but the service an knowledge is very poor. They change my oil standard. They never check my air filter, wiper blades or fluids( Windshield and coolant). What happen to the extra service. When I live in Flemington this was done on every visit when I went for a ten minute oil change. Not to mention they never put the oil gasket back on correctly leading to a nice puddle on my driveway with in 2 days. read more

Andre and Nikki were very nice, communicative and helpful as they explained my service throughout the process. This was my 2nd time getting my oil changed at a local Valvoline and had great experiences both times. I used synthetic oil and it cost over $70. A bit pricey so I won't be getting it there in the future. The people were very nice but we waited a long time even though we were the 2nd car in line. Most importantly, it would have been nice if there was complimentary coffee since we waited for over 45 minutes. We had to run across the street to McDonalds. Oil change went as expected, and of course they wanted to sell me a $50 cabin air filter that I can replace myself in 5 minutes for less than $10, but what upset me is that I walked in with a coupon that clearly stated $19.99 for a standard oil change. The man insisted that the deal was $15 off the regular price "because that what the small code on the bottom of the coupon meant". They argued and argued that the total price was over $25, and when I showed them how the coupon clearly stated $19.99, they replied, "that's wrong". Finally, a manager out of my earshot corrected the price, but there was no apology. They have lost a long time customer. read more
