Im not sure why all of the reviews are bad. The people who did my oil change were fast and efficient. Destiney and Jose helped me and they changed the cabin air filter. Not sure when the last time that was done so I'm not mad at it. I think everyone has the choice to say no if they don't want the extra services. The value was great!! I definitely recommend this place. I also saw that people were complaining about the ages of the techs. Who cares as long as the job is completed the right way why is it a complaint. You have to start somewhere they could be out doing other things but they are making an honest living. I respect the owner for giving them a chance. I was put in 30 mins or less. 10/10 definitely recommend read more

Reading some reviews didn't do this place justice. I know there maybe issues that might warrant a complaint that being said I decided to give them a chance. I'm glad I did , Anthony and his crew were awesome, they did everything top shelf! What's the worst decision I've ever made. Not once but twice I've came to this establishment had oil changed done on two different cars and in both cars the engine blew within a week. I called corporate they said they had nothing to do with The engine blowing and my car is just sitting in my driveway now. It's like a $8000 paperweight. Went to the one on Grafton street and they're all either high as kites or brain dead. Not even a hi how are you the guy was texting for a good ten minutes and then he ripped my door open for the vin. I told them 3 times I had low tire pressure and to please make sure they put in air. Pulled out and saw the psi was still on 30 so I reversed back and said there's still low pressure and his response was "you gotta drive around a bit". I expect this type of service if I'm spending $20 on an oil change but I'm spending $100..can I at least get some free air? Zero stars read more

Absolutely terrible. After 2 hours of waiting for my oil change and fuel filter to be replaced in my truck to the tune of $400 Dillon the "manager tells me they broke a bolt and my truck needed to be towed to premier in west boylston. Oh wait but they offered to pay for my Uber home to Grafton! This place is consistently terrible and will never return. Do not even think about bringing your automobile here. Changing fluids in cars and they can't even do that correctly. Truly pathetic. Day ruined. Hopefully my truck will be ready sometime tomorrow! Awful. read more

Wow, they seemed to remove my review. It was just as negative. I would say stay away from this Valvoline in general. They do not do a thought job and leave things undone, unfinished and unsafe as a result. When you complain on site the staff is rude and fails to make it right. Staff will tell you directly that management and ownership has no care. I would say that cooperate falls into the same category. I think I agree with the staff. When you reach out to the number you find friendly customer service folks. While they did try and call me back several days, not the next day as promised. You know they called just during drop off at school. I would strongly advise anyone who was thinking about this place to find another and you have choices within a block or two. No one knew how to use the oil suction machine from above in order to avoid the heavy skid plate removal. Then they didn't check my oil pressure. Didn't do any of the usual checks for lights, turn signals,and stop lights. I won't return to this location. Never had an issue at the Park Avenue location, including the suction machine. read more

went and had my oil changed with synthetic oil and the attendant that the next oil change would be in 5,000 miles. my car ran out of oil before the 5.000 mile limit!!! I went back to the location at Park Ave in Worcester and was told by the attendant that Hyundai and Kia burn oil faster than other cars! Really? After the oil was changed I left and my check engine light was on. I returned to the location where the manager Edward told me it would go off once I rode it for quite awhile! Really? well guess what? The check engine light was still on so once again I had to go back where it was electronically reset. The entire ordeal from start to finish was 3 hours. I now am contacting Valvoline headquarters to make them aware of what is taking place. Buyer beware of this location. read more

I had an oil change on 6/9/23 in Worcester, MA at 39 West Boylston St. They do not deserve 1 star. They took approx 1 hr to change the oil. They said they were having trouble locating the oil filter. They took the skid plate off when they finally found the filter but they did not put all the screws on tightly and most of them fell off. Less than 100 miles later, the car part started dragging on the highway. I wan't sure at first what was wrong but a 6 lane highway shoulder is not the place to try to figure it out. Once I found the problem, I let valvoline know. They opened a case and ordered the replacement part for me. They said the part was due in 3 days but then they went silent. They have not replied to follow up emails. Today, the manager said she does not make outgoing calls. She let me know she left a message for the nonresponsive manager but she could not directly reach him. This is not customer service. People make mistakes but when a company fails to make it right, it is better to take your business to another place. I am still waiting. My car part is still missing. read more

I came here after the Jiffy Lube down the street lied about their pricing. Valvoline was only marginally better. They quoted me $60 for an oil change, because it was a hybrid and needed special oil. I tell them that's fine, and they have me pull in to the garage. It's sort of an awkward setup, as two guys were asking me to do things with the headlights, blinkers, etc; one in front of the car and one in back; and it was difficult to hear them over the machinery that was running (an air compressor, I think). Having blinked all the lights to their satisfaction, I was told that the oil change would be $75. Facepalm/eye vessels bursting. I point out that I was told $60 just a few minutes before, and I'm told that it requires special oil. Except $60 was already for special oil, so I guess this was for _super_ special oil. I declined and left. 2 stars instead of 1, because they at least misquoted me less severely than Jiffy Lube, and it's possible the misquote was just the result of incompetence rather than an outright lie. Left here feeling ripped off. Conventional oil change on my car =39.99 (standard cost) + 11.98 for two quarts of oil extra. So over $52 for conventional oil!. On top of that I had a low beam light out. They charged me $29.99 for a single standard lightbulb. Total ripped off. This has prompted me to start doing it myself. $82 for a simple conventional (not synthetic mind you) oil change and light bulb (halogen) is ridiculous. Never again. If I were you I would not use this Valvoline. I went here for an oil change they didn't put the cap on correctly had a major oil leak. Destroyed my landlord's new driveway soaked it with oil. It also soaked my alternator. I had to spend $900 to replace my alternator. Then like an idiot I got lazy and went back to this same Valvoline. About two months later my battery kept dying. Car is in the shop now Mechanic told me same thing happened again. They didn't put the cap on correctly had another major oil spill. Now I have to replace the alternator again. $1800 total for coming to this Valvoline twice. Do not use this Valvoline go to see C and R tire . I've been to the Grafton Street location about six times for oil changes. It's a little pricey but convenient. On my last visit and upon driving home my splash plate came unbolted and was dragging under my car. I immediately pulled over, called them and they had me come back so they could re-bolt it. I decided to give them another try and this time the splash plate fell down the next day, again dragging under my car leaving me unable to drive it to work. I tried calling this location all morning and no one ever answered the phone. I called the Lincoln St location who put me in touch with their customer care department who said they'll put in a claim, do an investigation and will be in touch within 24-72 hrs. Are you friggin kidding me? Totally unacceptable that I need to wait up to 3 days for them to decide whether or not it's their fault. I will never go back there! read more

I've gone to this Valvoline a dozen times, and never had issue (that I know of). I say it like that, because this last visit I would have never known there was a problem if I hadn't been paying attention. The manufacturer of my truck specs it for 5W30 oil. I watched the guy attempt to add 5W30, fiddle with the end of the hose, then change it for 5W20 while filling my truck. I asked him what he was doing and he said they were out of 5W30 and that using the 5W20 "won't, like, damage your engine or anything". Now I'm an Engineer and a gear head, and the only reason I don't change my oil myself is because it makes a mess and it's a hassle to dispose of the old oil. With my background, I can safely say that with my tubocharged engine, it is important to use the right weight oil as the components, like seals, inside the turbos are much more sensitive to different weights. Yes, running the 5W20 instead of 5W30 for 5k miles would probably be 'ok', but I didn't pay $75 for it to be just 'ok'. Jonathan, who was topside, offered no other assistance for my concerns. One other notably poor decision Jonathan made (aside from trying to put the wrong oil in my truck without telling me, then giving me inaccurate/uninformed automotive information) was telling me he was ready to fire the guy doing the work underneath my truck out of frustration (Juan, look out buddy). I thought, well great, I have someone working under my truck right now whose boss (?) doesn't find capable to be employed here much longer. Anyways, I drove to the next nearset Valvoline and they were much friendlier and thorough in replacing my oil with the correct weight free of charge. The guy doing the work also signed/dated the new filter and took pictures of it on the truck to show me, as well as of the oil left all over the underbody of my truck, left from the last place, that he cleaned off very well. The reason he felt the need to go to this extent with the filter is because he did not recognize the filter on the truck as one they would have put on, so it was clear they had not changed that at the Grafton St. location either. I will not be returning to Valvoline in the future. That is two vehicles (my wife's and mine) that I'd have serviced there a few times a year each, that they will be losing due to incompetent and non-trustworthy employees. read more

I've been doing business here for years, but honestly I'm dissapointed with my last visit. I went in for a transmission fluid change and to have the front and rear 4wd differentials serviced. It took a solid hour and fifteen minutes just to get the transmission fluid done, and then they said they couldn't service my 4wd because it was too hard to loosen the bolts. I was like, "really?" On top of that, they didn't even put air in my tires; I know that because my low tire pressure light was still on when I left. This place normally has done a good job, but they really need to step up their game if this is the direction they're heading. read more

Let me just start off by saying that every time I go into Valvoline the professionalism is on point! The gentleman that helped me was the manager, his name was Miguel. He got a part for me that I was missing, explained it to me and then got the part for me, free of charge. The Assistant managers Jon and Antonio both helped me with my oil change and they too told me about my car, and what was wrong with it. These are honest guys, and professional workers. Wow what a rip off, the $85.00 oil change was $121.52 with my $15,00 off coupon, when I asked why cliff said your car takes extra oil and a special filter, I was why didn't tell me that before? He said"sorry that's just what it is" I could have gone to the dealer for $20 more and they wash and vac the whole car, you will never see me here again!!! When I got home, my fiance noticed something hanging from my car. It turned out that one of the idiots had ripped a huge metal piece off the bottom of my car to reach my oil filter, rather than unbolting it. He assumed, because I was a woman, I was a fool and would never notice. The piece is $300 to replace and these criminals are refusing to help or pay for anything. DO NOT GO THERE. If I could write this review with out giving even a 1 star I would. I been going to valvoline on Grafton st. to do all my oil changes for the last 3-4 yrs. They never had a problem taking my money or up selling others services. The last time I went there they recommend I do transmission flush and I decide to do it as they made it seem urgent. Let me start off by saying they did my transmission flush with out a machine that they normally use. (I found out after) Not to mention they over filled and left debris from the old transmission fluid in it. My car was driving funny the next day so I called them, that's when they had me bring it in to another store which was the shrewsbury location because they had the proper machine to do the tranny flush. After they looked at it there thats when the ast manager told me what they did. She then redid the flush properly and told me to take the car for a ride an come back to see if it fixed the problem it was having. I did that an it didn't feel any different. I was told a regional will call me, after being told he will call me he didn't I had to call customer service. The regional name is David Wieczorek. He did nothing but give me a run around for almost a full week. After that I had a conference call with him an customer service rep and he basically told me sorry but that your problem not ours. His exact words were, "I'm not changing my answer I'm standing by what I said it not our problem we are not fixing or helping you." Well my transmission is now gone my car is no longer drive able. It's at a professional transmission shop and valvoline won't even take there word for it. Worst customer service ever. Don't spend your money here they won't back up there work.
