This place has it all. Cute restaurant, amazing patio and even better pizza! Not to mention the staff/ owners are incredibly welcoming. I wish this place was back home...

Brussels Sprouts Pizza

I tried the Brussels Sprouts Pizza and it was delicious!!! The crust was just perfect, nice and crisp in the bottom with a bit of chew to the dough. So good! Even better, the staff was welcoming and fun conversationalist. I would definitely go to this cozy little pizza joint again!

Delicious gluten free pizzas!

The best gluten free pizza I've ever had. Amazing service and wonderful people! The gluten free crust is house made!

a slice of pepperoni pizza and a glass of beer

Best pizza I've had since I don't remember. Probably since the Hot Tomato in Colorado and this might be better! I wish we had been around long enough to sample the entire menu. Everything we tried was absolutely out of the park: great and unique combinations packed with flavor. We were here off season and got to enjoy a pretty peaceful atmosphere in their comfortable dining area. I imagine in summer it could get nutty but this is pizza I'd easily wait an hour or more for. This is a must-dine for us on future visits!

Garden patio, beautiful!

We heard of Van Go's from friends and Yelp, so when in Friday Harbor we had to try them. A short walk up the hill from the marina, we looked forward to a good pizza.. we were not disappointed. A beautiful shady garden patio and we greeted by a charming and pleasant woman who took our order. Margarita and chicken Gorgonzola pizzas with a pitcher of beer. Both pizzas were outstanding and the beer was perfect. This place is a hidden gem and deserves all the good reviews. We'll be back

Pear & Prosciutto $24 for 16 inch pizza
Dianna N.

COVID-19: No indoor dining on 9.16.20. Takeout only. Parking: Free 2 hour street parking. Prosciutto & Pear $24 for 16 inch: Between the 2 of us, there were 3 slices left after we were full. The toppings were great. I personally prefer thinner, wood-fired style crust, while this crust was a little thicker than that. ***** My Star Ratings: 1 Star - Terrible. Just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars - Meh. Unlikely for me to return. 3 Stars - OK. Open to coming back, but wouldn't go out of my way to. 4 Stars - Yummy! Will definitely return if I haven't already. 5 Stars - AMAZING!!! Would plan my day or even a trip around eating here.

Fabulous pizza! Very kid friendly. A wonderful place to eat in Friday Harbor. The brownies for dessert were yummy too!

SO good! And sitting on the patio made it even better. What a quaint spot. Don't miss it.

Good pizza and friendly staff. Will return. They even have a gluten free option that was good but those crusts need a little extra cooking.

Really good thin crust pizza cooked in a large skillet (perhaps cast iron). Obviously a favorite place for the locals to get their pies.

Each pastry was great but the highlight was the berry cheese danish. We also really liked how the apple danish wasn't extremely sweet and the texture of the carrot cake muffin. The ordering process was smooth but we sat, bussed, and served ourself which was fine.

Bread loaves/rounds can be purchased whole or can be sliced. Some breads are also available in sandwich form (roll/baguette/Rosetta). Menu offers pizza; unfortunately, we were too early for pizza. All pizzas are available as take-and-bakes. Pizza slices are not available until 11am. Sandwiches and salads can also be ordered. My wife and I shared a Cinnamon Roll for $4.75; served warm upon request. We also shared a Cheese Claw for $4; served warm upon request. We ordered a Ham & Cheese Croissant for $5.50 to eat later at our lodging. The minimal interaction with the staff was friendly. Our sweet treats were tasty and reasonably priced. Thank you, Bakery San Juan for fueling our day of fun.

Service was prompt and friendly and they had gf designations on their menu which made my life easy. I had the house salad and the apricots on top were delish. The husband of mine had a pizza which he said was the indulgence he was craving. Our friend had the curry soup of the day, fried cheese curds and a cider tasting. Everything was good. They had some cute stuff in their shop inside and I secured myself a perfect fox hat. Next time we come back to San Juan we'll definitely stop in again.

The food was a bit of a mixed bag. The pizza was definitely not good, honestly, pretty much everything about it fell short. On the plus side, the beet salad was good, and the chicken wings were tasty as well. The overall ambiance here is super fun and lively. However... the service left a lot to be desired because the kitchen was incredibly SLOW. We were dining with kids, and it took a massive 50 minutes just to get our children their food off the kids' menu. Not even our main meals, just the kids' items! Needless to say, by the time the food finally arrived, our kids were completely starving. Management, please make it a point to ensure that when parents order off the kids' menu, those items are prioritized and brought out much earlier so the little ones can eat... While the space itself is great for a drink, the massive kitchen delays make it tough for a family dinner. I'd say it's fine to check out for a beer and some wings, but if you have young kids with you, be prepared for a long wait.

What really drew my attention was some of the piss poor reviews from some fake Yelpstars...you know the ones folks; those fake folks that got three total reviews all one star. I thought it was comical about how scared and bent customers were regarding Vinnie's attitude. Honestly, if you can't hack a strong attitude maybe you should just stay inside and be scared! More great pizza for the rest of us. Cousin Vinnie's is not a hole in the wall pizzeria it's a walk up to a door you can't enter and order directly with Vinnie working in the kitchen! Bad A**! We ordered up one large thin crust with olives, mushrooms, pepperoni, and sausage. One personal size all meat pizza and cannolis. Vinnie told me to come back in about 35-40 minutes. He's a one man show people. Rolled back to the front of the pizzeria and Vinnie was showing off other pies he created for orders infront of us. Once ours was done he freshly filled the cannolis and showed off our pizzas. Wow not only did they look great they tasted great. Loved the flavor of the crust and ingredients! 5 stars Vinnie! Great pizza from a great guy! I'll be back!

Our party of three visited for lunch at noon on a Thursday. Since we had a reservation, we were seated immediately at a lovely table right by the window. The atmosphere was great, and the staff were incredibly courteous and friendly throughout our meal. We initially thought about starting with some small plates, but we were so eager for seafood that we jumped straight into the entrees. We weren't disappointed: Bouillabaisse: This was our first time trying this dish, and it was the highlight for us. It was incredibly flavorful--exactly what we were craving. Spicy Prawn Mac and Cheese: It definitely lived up to its name! It wasn't "blow-your-head-off" hot, but it had a perfect, noticeable kick that really elevated the dish. Blackened Cod Tacos: These were fantastic. The cod was perfectly prepared and worked so well with the rest of the taco ingredients. We also enjoyed a couple of non-alcoholic drinks that hit the spot, though I'll admit that since I'm writing this a couple of weeks later, I forgot to snag photos or the specific names of the drinks! They also have a really nice patio area if you prefer dining outdoors. Whether you're a seafood lover or just looking for a great meal with a view, this place is a must-visit!

For the nature of the restaurant, we had hoped for our waitress to be more friendly and genuine. However, it felt like they just wanted to fulfill our order and be done. I ordered the South Sound Clams and Snapper Sandwich. Bathing in an umami-packed and rich Thai curry broth, the clams were tender and fresh with a bit of brine. Very good and shareable with one other person. The snapper sandwich wowed me! The bright escovitch and creamy avocado paired wonderfully with the snapper. Every bite was delightful. The house-made potato chips, however, were disappointing. They were thin, not crispy, and sticking to my teeth. If you can, substitute for fries or salad. Despite our subpar service, the delicious, well-priced food and beautiful scenery still make this the perfect date spot.

It took a bit for someone to notice us, though a sign said to wait to be seated. Once we were seated, service was relatively quick, at least to get us started with drinks. My whiskey tasted like it had sat on the shelf for ages, not rotating stock. I had to have them take it back, though they tried to say it was my fault for ordering ice with my drink. The food all came out relatively quickly once we were able to place our order, but it was just okay. Nothing was spectacular, and after the initial impression, that did not bode well for the establishment. The one positive is that, unlike other very busy locations around Friday Harbor, they stayed open late and were able to seat us, though the reason for that was everything I've stated above, slower service, poor drinks, and just okay food. The lack of people frequenting the establishment should have been a red flag, but it was late and we were hungry. Needless to say, we did not return during our long weekend stay on the island and, unless they're the only folks open when you need a bite, I might suggest you look elsewhere.
