Dr. Oh has been our trusted doctor for over 7 years, providing exceptional care for Marley and always putting us at ease. Dr. Oh's team is thorough, gentle, and patiently answers all our questions. His office staff including the front desk is incredibly helpful and kind, creating a truly welcoming and supportive atmosphere. We highly recommend Dr. Oh for the outstanding care Marley receives every visit. We couldn't thank Dr. Oh enough for his love and care for my baby boy!

Dr.Oh and his staff are awesome. I've been taking my fur babies here for years for their (affordable) shots. After having surgery for a hernia repair and baby tooth extraction, my little girl is doing so well. The pricing was surprisingly affordable and included medications. They maintain a clean environment. I recommend this place to anyone seeking affordable, quality care for their babies. Thank you Dr.Oh & team!

    Waiting for the Dr

I honestly don't know where to begin. Dr. Oh is by far the best veterinarian I've ever worked with, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dog. I've been bringing my German Shepherd, Macy, here for the past 7 years. Thankfully, she's a very healthy dog and doesn't need frequent vet visits, but whenever anything comes up, Dr. Oh and his team are the first people I turn to. The level of care, compassion, and professionalism they provide is truly exceptional. They always take the time to answer questions, explain everything thoroughly, and make sure Macy receives the best possible care. Knowing that she's in such good hands gives me tremendous peace of mind. I'm incredibly grateful for Dr. Oh and his amazing team, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinarian they can trust.

My dog had a really bad ear infection and a hot spot, and Dr. Oh was amazing. He took her in right away, gave her steroid injections, shaved the area, and had us out the door in about 20 minutes. Super efficient and gentle with my pup the whole time. I had called around to check prices before coming here, and his rates were very fair compared to other vets. You can tell he really knows what he's doing and doesn't waste time upselling unnecessary treatments. Fast, knowledgeable, and caring service so glad we found this place! She healed with 1 week & a half

    My cats foot bleeding

Honestly I didn't feel good trusting this place with my senior cat. I came here for a vomiting issue my cat had and the doctor checked her for about 4 seconds and then gave me a bill of $700 for test and blood work so I just left instead. Now that wasn't really the problem but I didn't enjoy the 5 second checkup. They then say my cat has an ear infection and I told them okay I can pay that so i let them treat her ear. My cat came back bleeding from her foot. They did tell me she was fighting a light and in my head I thought okay she chipped a nail she's just scared. When I came home I checked her foot and the nail was gone and bleeding all night. When I left the vet I made a friend who also had her senior cat. She was the best we made conversation she looked happy. She then comes out the room crying because sadly she put her cat down and obviously that was not the vets fault. Although on another review where they were there as well. They explained how the doctor dropped the deceased cat when the couple hasn't even left yet. And when the couple had barely left not even out the door yet, I hear the receptionist giggle and point at them maybe laughing at the cat being dropped?? Super unprofessional place in my opinion, the doctor was very sweet and his assistants were as well. I have mixed feelings about this place I wanted to have an open mind since this was my first time at a vet in years but I didn't enjoy how they treat the cats which is the biggest concern when bringing your fur baby.

How much would consultation fee be with appointment?

They dont do walk ins not even for vaccinations!

Did they change their phone number? I've been trying to call for the past two days but the line sounds dead. Doesn't even ring. (8*8)4*3-8*89 isn't working

Not sure - I usually just walk in !

I’m very happy with Dr. Oh. Does anyone know where he went to vet school? I’m just curious.

Does anyone know how much physical exams are and if they take walk ins? Thanks.

I paid $35 for the office visit which was the exam + the other things needed

How much is the office visit?

I believe $135 but pay more go somewhere else .. after many years of abusive treatment I am I longer going to him for my dog

How much do they charge for cat dental cleaning here?

Not sure if it's exactly the same but I had my dogs teeth deep cleaned here a few months back for $800 ish. Removed plaque and all

Do they do walk-ins or only appointments?

    They are appointment only!

Does your phone number not have a voicemail set up? It kept ringing for a long time

    Nope.

    Do you do xRays?

    Yes they do

Does anyone know how much an ultrasound to confirm pregnancy for a dog?

How much do dental cleanings start at?

My dog is a 5 year old mix and I paid for the dental cleaning including the sedation and after treatment medication for about a bit more than $500. Hope this helps!

Do you do ultrasounds on pregnant dogs?

Not sure but they did a free ultrasound for my cat after she had an x-ray on her stomach area (uterus was the focus).

Do you offer microchipping? If so, how much?

    $60

    How much for micro chipping?

Do you guys do spay and neuter? If so how much?

VNNC just gave me a $310 quote to have my 7 month old, 10 lb female Rat Terrier spayed. No exam or blood work necessary since she's in excellent health. I got an appointment for 9 days from now. I called four different vets and VNNC offers the best…

    Do you also check bunnies?

    No, only dogs and cats.

How much is the office visit after free first visit?

They told me 35 dollars as of today.

The prices were always fair-- almost cheap, honestly. Everyone we ever dealt with has been wonderful. They've tried to always accommodate my dog when we needed an unexpected last-minute appointment-- which was kind of a lot because she had a few health issues over the years. They were always so nice and loved on her even though she was a bit of a bad girl. When we had to put my dog down very unexpectedly, they tried very hard to save her. But also, they were honest about no heroics. I mean, they really could've gotten a lot of money out of me to save her, but Dr Moon was honest that it was time to let her go. Over the last nine years, they were all just so good and sweet to her. To be honest, even driving by there, I kind of want to cry even though it's been a few months. It somewhat awkward since there isn't really anywhere to sit & wait in the front lobby. Granted, I now see that I could have stepped back outside & waited on the bench in their really nice courtyard until a receptionist was available. I found there was an outdoor area & a lounge in the back which I could've utilized while waiting for my dogs to be ready to go home. Parking was a bit of a nightmare. I will definitely allot for more time to park at our next visit. All the vet staff seemed very knowledgeable & treated myself & my dogs great. I was given clear information & even checked in with today to see how my girls are doing. I felt very comfortable conversing with both of the vets (one dog was a non-anesthetic cleaning with Dr. Celestine Hoh & the other had an advanced dental procedure with Dr. Candice Habawel), as well as the technicians. My girls were both taken very good care of & are doing really well today. I've been an RVT for over 20 years & loved how organized & compassionate the care we received was, as well as how my dogs seemed & their teeth looked when I took them home. Sidenote, I realized that Dr. Candice Habawel was the first vet I met at your Venice location when Pickles had needed emergency ADP & that location fit me in the NEXT day! I was so impressed with everything there & decided to stay with Green Dog because of Dr. Habawel & our experience that day. Sadly getting to Venice is not something I can do easily so I continued my care at the Sherman Oaks location, which overall has always been a good experience. But to find that Dr. Habawel was now at the Van Nuys location makes me very happy. I thought she seemed familiar but didn't put 2 & 2 together until I got home. Thank you, we're so appreciative & definitely plan to return to this location!

I wanted to help her and do what was right, but this place completely shattered my trust. From the moment we arrived, she was weak and moving slowly. Instead of being honest and telling us that the kindest, most humane option would be to let her go peacefully, they insisted on doing a long list of tests -- over $700 worth -- knowing full well she was on her last breath. The next day, the doctor called with the results and said she was very sick and recovery chances were extremely slim. Then came the question: Did I want them to put her to sleep? I told them I wanted to be there with her, and I also made it clear that I was very unhappy with how the situation had been handled. The receptionist quoted me $300 for euthanasia, and I reluctantly agreed, even though I already felt taken advantage of. When I arrived, I expressed again how wrong this felt -- that they had used our love and emotions to squeeze out every dollar they could before admitting the truth. They guided me to a small room and told me to wait so I could be there with her. After several minutes, the doctor came in with a sad look and told me... she had already died. No one called. No one checked in sooner. No one seemed to care. Yes, they refunded the euthanasia fee -- but that doesn't undo what they did. My wife and I left heartbroken -- not just from losing a sweet soul who trusted us, but from realizing how cold and unethical this place truly is. They took advantage of compassion, made money off a dying animal, and then delivered the news like it was nothing. I will never take another animal here. They showed no honesty, no empathy, and no integrity.

We adopted a dog…read morethrough spcaLA and were referred there for his neuter procedure, which was required as part of the adoption agreement. The issues began at drop-off. I arrived on time at 8:30 a.m., but there was a long line of owners and dogs waiting outside. Many of the dogs appeared to be puppies, fosters, or newly adopted pets still adjusting and difficult to manage. I waited approximately 20 minutes while trying to control my 65-pound dog. When I reached the front, staff said they had no record of our appointment and asked, in an unprofessional manner, whether I had completed the intake form that was supposedly emailed to me. I had never received it. I was then handed paperwork to complete on-site while continuing to manage my dog in a crowded environment. On the form, I disclosed that my dog had been experiencing chronic diarrhea since being picked up as a stray, that we were actively working with our veterinarian to identify the cause, and that our veterinarian had cleared him for surgery. Staff then told me they would not proceed if he had diarrhea. I explained that this condition predated the adoption, that the neuter was required by the shelter, and that we had already obtained veterinary clearance. Staff repeatedly went back and forth between me and the veterinarian before eventually presenting a high-risk consent form. The communication around this was especially concerning. When the form was presented, I was told that by signing it, I was accepting that if anything happened to my dog, it would be my fault. I understand that additional risks can exist, but this was handled in a dismissive and inappropriate manner. If the clinic had sent the intake paperwork in advance or reviewed the medical concerns beforehand, this could have been addressed prior to my driving an hour from West Adams to Van Nuys with a dog who does not travel well. I was also disappointed that additional charges were presented for items such as an e-collar, pain medication, and IV fluids. For a required adoption procedure, these added costs felt excessive. Pick-up was similarly poor. When my dog was returned, a staff member commented, "Make sure to take care of the diarrhea because he still has it," despite our earlier detailed discussion of the condition and treatment plan. While loading him into the car, I noticed feces on his cone, tail, and legs. This suggested he had soiled himself and had not been adequately cleaned before discharge, which was both upsetting and concerning from a sanitation and post-operative care standpoint. Overall, this experience reflected poor communication, lack of professionalism, and inadequate attention to patient care. I would not return to Pet Orphans of Southern California and would not recommend this clinic to others. I also plan to share this experience with spcaLA so they are aware of the concerns regarding this referral partnership.

I told them I was only about 15 minutes away and was coming straight in. I arrived exactly when I said I would, and the price had suddenly changed. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch. If your pricing changes at a certain time, tell the customer when they're on the phone and saying they are on the way, not after they've already arrived. When I questioned it, the manager was unprofessional and unwilling to honor the price their own staff had quoted me just minutes earlier over the phone. There was no accountability and no attempt to make the situation right. I can easily afford the difference, but that's not the point. I don't appreciate being misled. I told them I was deeply disappointed with how they handled the situation and that I would be leaving an honest review. They didn't seem to care at all. I genuinely feel bad for the owner if this is the level of customer service being provided. The worst part was that my dog was sitting there in pain while we argued over something that should have been simple.I left and went to another veterinary clinic down the street, where my dog was seen within minutes and received excellent care. If a business won't stand behind the price they quote over the phone, it's hard to trust them with anything more important. I imagine their final bill would have been ridiculous.
