DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO BY THIS DEALERSHIP. I was inquiring about a car from this dealership. I received a call from Dominique, sales representatives, asking about my inquiry on the 2017 Honda Accord I told him I inquired and spoke to someone 2 days ago and things didn't work out. He asked if I can come look at the car in person. I told him that the dealership was an hour away and he said if I come in to check out the car he is willing to fill up my gas tank, purchase is not necessary. Since it sounded fair I told him I can check out the car the next day which was 07/07/2018. Once I was there I told him that I want the car out the door for 16,500. He said he will speak to the manager and see what we can do. He asked how much I can put down today and I told him I can do $3k down. The car is listed for $16,995 he came back with the total purchase amount of 24K with options and dealer fees of 1800. After taking options off with tax and fees only the price came down to 18K. He said oh great you will only have to put 2K and finance the 16K. I told him no that the 16,500 including down payment. He pretended to misunderstand the down payment which I understand that he was just being a sales person. He asked if I can come up to 17K and I told him unfortunately I can't due to my current financial situation. When he came back he told me the manager can't do that price and also he can't help you with gas because the car doesn't have any cosmetic issues. I told him that's not what he said over the phone and if he would have I wouldn't have driven this far. I told him he simply just lied about the gas just so I can come down there. Right then he started getting offensive. He told me don't call me a liar, I will not tolerate that and started raising his voice. I tried to explain to him about our phone conversation but he kept raising his voice. Since I was there with my sister mom and aunt it was disrespectful of him to speak to a customer in that way, that too in front of my family. As I was leaving with my family, he followed me out the door being rude and loud. Once we were outside he started cursing at me and his whole time another employee of Vandergriff Honda was just standing there watching his coworker being disrespectful. I told him he is getting upset because HE lied and by this point he's up to my face so I put my hand near his shoulder and told him no offense but I don't want to do business here. He said "Get your hands off me bruh" and was ready to fist fight when I was ready to walk away he said Fuck you pathetic Indians. I couldn't believe that he was being racist. I went inside to speak to manager and the director of used sales car Kyler Oakes, who was just standing inside the glass door not willing to even come out to apologize or even speak with me. I was standing there waiting to talk to a manager while all the employees went inside the glass door and didn't even acknowledge my presence. At this point I started recording and ask the guy who was outside with Dominique if I can speak to the general manager and I was told he's not there today. I said can I get some other manager and he said he's the manager which I know for a fact he wasn't a manger. I asked what actions were going to be taken and he said he was going to speak to the manager about it which I have it on camera as well. I decided to leave because no one wanted to speak to me there. When I left I decided to call and left voicemail for Cade Simpson, General Sales Manager but what a surprise it's been 3 days and I have not heard anything from anyone of them. I would never recommend anyone to go buy a car there specially they just watched someone be racist and not even say a word. Hondas are notorious for A/C issues and had a $40mm class actions suit settled a few years back. It hasn't improved all that much, our 2010 Odyssey was an unfortunate victim. Therefore we took it to this dealership for repair. The original quote was for $1,450 to fix the clutch & coil plus a leaky compressor. Naturally, that didn't pass the smell test as one is electrical and the other is mechanical. They don't both go bad together. They couldn't pull a fast one on me and I called to question the manager, who was unable to explain the diagnosis. When we called them back to tell them that the car would be collected without repairs, they returned with a new story that only the compressor was leaking. Apparently the clutch & coil wasn't defunct. Hmm...Further diagnosis during the night? Funny how the story changed real quick. Instantly the quote dropped to $806. We ended up having the work done there as no matter what we were $119 into this adventure, and it has so far been working (hence the 2nd star). Otherwise, a frustrating, angering, and disheartening experience with the service department. As a Dealership, the entity who bears the company brand and name, there is an expectation to be straightforward and honest. Had the paperwork signed, gave them the money and drove the car home. 2 days later, I get a call saying that the price I signed a contract for was the wrong price and it'll be another $400 if I want all my options. Definitely won't be doing business here again. Also calling to cancel all the options and have them refund me the difference. Now, if a contract is signed, that's an agreed upon sale. This is my first time buying a car and this was the first place I went to and I wish I hadn't even wasted my time and my parents time. First, the called me 7 times the day before to confirm 1 appointment and then when I show up, they said someone just walked out the door with the car they called me 7 times about. Second, after the car is gone, the salesperson didn't even take the time to try and sell me on different options, she showed me 1 other car and let me test drive it for 3 minutes on one 35 mph road before telling me to turn around and head back. Didn't even get to test it on the interstate which seems shady af because my shit car drives perfectly going 35 but shakes as soon as i get on the highway so buying a new car, it is crucial for me to see how it accelerates. Third, we get back from the "test drive" and the women is rude to my sister with special needs and straight up made a nasty face at her. Someone who treats people with mental and physical disabilities deserves a special place in hell. After going to 3 other dealerships in the area, I can honestly say even those slime balls make these people look like Satan. The sales women wouldn't budge on the price and even tried to convince me that the NADA value I literally showed her a screenshot of, was not in fact nada website even though I had to point out to her that the search bar literally said NADA. Beware the good ratings, they are fake reviews posted by Vandergriff's employees. Vandergriff sold my daughter a Ford F250 6.0L diesel as a low mileage reliable vehicle. These vehicles have been the subject of numerous class action law suits and are known to be prone to very expensive breakdowns. The vehicle also appears to have had the odometer rolled back, it has broken down 4 times in 9 months, all $2,500 or greater repairs. They have refused to honor their extended warranty. In addition they fitted the vehicle with tires that don't even have a sufficient load rating to carry the vehicles empty weight, basically they sold her a vehicle that's a ticking time bomb for a blowout. Worst experience. Had to visit again to rectify. I went to the express service section around 4pm today(24th may 2014) to get my accord serviced. A lady attended me and told me that it would take about an hour every thing looked fine till then and I was waiting in the customer lounge. At 5pm I was told the work is done so paid the bill. After paying none of them attended me to explain about the inspection done to my car as they where closing at 5. I was even told that car wash and vacuum was included but they dint do it . They dint even have the time to remove the token number that was put on my car. I had to pick my friend so I left but the worst part is that the emergency brake light was showing up when I was driving and this dint happen before. I recommend not to visit this dealership for service and sincerely suggest this dealership to deal with customers in a better way. Bought a vehicle in 2016 from them, bought the extended MPP warranty for over 1k, they forgot to file the paper work! I kept calling MPP to get the services I paid for but they could never locate me! 2 years later they finally filed the paperwork and got me in the system with MPP after endless calls and run arounds. Then my warranty expired a couple months later. Refused to give me my money back for the warranty and this was their fault. AVOID this dealership. I have purchased several cars from here and absolutely love their service department. However, the vehicle I purchased in May will be the last one ever. They called me multiple times trying to talk me into refinancing it. I told them I wasn't interested but they proceeded to tell me about a lower interest rate that I qualified for. My husband and I decided to do it and were assured it would take less than 45 minutes. He took off work and I drove the hour round trip to fill out the paperwork. They ran our credit and then told us we had to wait 4 more months in order to refinance. We were so frustrated at this point. This was not even our idea. We left and when I got home I attempted to contact someone about this. No help. Then today I get a call from customer service thanking me for coming in yesterday. Seriously? The guy had no clue what had happened to I told him. He said "I'm am just part of a call center. " So, once again no help or apology. If this was a one time incident I would just chalk it up to miscommunication. However, when we purchased the vehicle they were calling us and asking us to come trade in our accord. Again, we said no several times but finally agreed when they assured me they had the vehicle I was looking for. When we got there.... surprise.... no vehicle. I came in to buy a new car last week, and was greeted with such poor customer service! The new car sales director, Salah, was one of the RUDEST people I have ever dealt with! I was so shocked with how I was treated, I got up and walked out. I had told the people I was dealing with that I had an appointment with another dealership later on to see my options, and they immediately became so rude to me. I guess it is a crime to want to shop around to make the right decision. I told my salesperson about the other appointment, and he gets up and walks out and returns with Salah, who then begins to almost berate me. I think some of the people there need some more training on customer service. I have been buying cars from this dealership for years. I have roughly spent hundreds of thousands in their shop. However their services has dropped drastically over the years. Recently I bought a brand new Honda Civic with all the bells and whistles and warranties money can buy. Including the ZAKTEK paint protection. When I took the car for its first ZAK code, when picking up the car I noticed a the paint on the back was chipped. A beautiful new red Honda Civic has all of sudden has this eye soaring black chip in the back. At first the service advisor tried to convince us that it was brought in like that. Although we had a walk around with him when we brought in the car. He was at first dismissive and insulting to our concerns. After we convinced him that there was no paint chip, he reluctantly decided to solve the problem. The next day when we were there to pickup the car we realized that his solution was some cheap touch up paint on a relatively new car. That was salt added to injury. We insisted that he replaces the piece. He was not too happy, like it was our fault that they have such incompetent employees. Imagine you are so excited with this nice car that you spent some serious money to keep it look and feel as new. Then you trusted the people who you bought it from to keep it in shape and you realized that they actually don't give a damn. Why in the world would you spend your hard earned money on a place like that? To make the experience more horrifying when we left the car with them to replace the piece, after a week we finally went to pickup the car, we realized that it had an unusually higher mileage than when we dropped it. That makes you wonder what did they do to your car while it was at their place for over a week? That was the final strew to convince us to never return to that place. read more

We had been looking online for a few weeks for a 2016 Odyssey. One came up with everything we wanted, in the price range we wanted, and at a close dealership. We went and asked to see it. Carlos Vigil(the salesman) said he could show me a 2019 Odyssey that he thought we would love. I told him we were not interested and he even brought his manager over to try and offer me a 2019. Finally, he reluctantly showed us the van we came in to see and it had more than what was listed online and the price was still good. Carlos, once again, tried to offer me a 2019 with "all these things". I told him, "if you can get me into a 2019, with ALL THESE THINGS, AND this price, we can talk. He mumbled that it would be starting at about $6000 more than what was the price on the other. Not interested. You could visibly see him get upset. Went into negotiation and the price jumped up several thousand. When we questioned it, they said the car had to go through certification process and that they hadn't inspected it yet so they don't know how it will go. The car had been turned in 2 days prior and hadn't gone through their inspection. When I told them the car was listed for that price and that was the price we wanted, Jose (finance guy) said that was "just to bring you in so you will be in our store" but that "the price would jump up due to other fees." Negotiations went on for 2 hours and they were rude the entire time. If I didn't want that car so bad, we would have left. We paid our down payment and they said the car would be ready the next day. After being told Carlos would contact us "first thing in the morning" I ended up trying to contact him and after 5 attempts, I finally was able to get a hold of him. Basically, our car was not ready to be picked up and he would contact us the next evening. Not acceptable. We were really upset. The next morning, I called Carlos again and he said he would call me at noon to give me an update. I reached out to him at 4:30pm to ask for the update. I talked to his manager, Zach Barnes, and he reassured us the car would be ready at 630. It wasn't until 830 that the car was ready. We went to go pick it up, and the battery died and we were not able to leave with it. We also had to settle with Jose Fuentes on the financial aspect and we were met with cold awkwardness. He did not even give us a receipt and we had to ask him for it. He seemed confused and couldn't find it. But he eventually gave it to us. The next day, I reached out, once again, to Zach for an update. They replaced the battery and it was good to go. I'm only giving this a 1 star because Zach made an impossibly horrible experience just a bit better with his niceness and willing to try and correct what went wrong. But all in all, this was the worst car buying experience we have ever had and we will never go back. read more

I would be very careful coming to this location. I know most dealerships are taught to finaggle you but this one will straight up scam you and lie to you to get you into a vehicle. I traded in my car with them last year and they gave me a payment $200 more than I was paying previously. Told me if I paid for a year on time I could come back and upgrade for a lower payment. Well it's been a year so I called and talked to the manager, George, who told me he could help me. I made sure to ask that he could actually help after running my credit so I didn't waste my time and gas driving from Dallas. He assured me they could help. When I got to the dealership, they still made it seem like everything was fine and I'd be finding a vehicle within my budget that day. They had the audacity to come back and see if I would pay a $900 car payment and "how close can I get to that". I'm sorry but that is $600, yes you read that right, more than I initially said I was looking for. Basically everything I was told last night contradicted what I was promised a year ago. I'll update this review if the situation is rectified and they actually end up helping me, but right now I would not reccomend this place to anyone unless you have perfect credit and even then i would give my money to someone more honest.. Very Happy Customer, for the second time in just a couple of years. For me, purchasing a vehicle has generally been a tedious and unnecessarily long experience--a nightmare frankly. We unexpectedly had to purchase a vehicle this week. Since Salesman Charles Bright had previously provided such excellent service, we went back to see him. And again, we were not disappointed. Mr. Bright is respectful, easily addresses all of our questions and of the utmost importance, listens to our needs. After all, purchasing a vehicle is a big expense. Mr. Bright and the finance manger did not needlessly waste our time. I would have given 5 stars if the experience ended there. Vandergriff, please do something to improve the process once an agreement has been made; takes way too long to get through the final process. I am giving this review one star, because I am unable to give it zero stars. Vandergriff Honda is so scandalous! The following review has been posted to multiple social media outlets, and each time it is posted, it has been deleted. Vandergriff Honda sold me a 2018 "certified pre-owned" Honda Accord. I went to Discount Tires today to get the tires replaced and they happened to notice that there were two different size rims on my "certified pre-owned" Honda. After Discount showed and and explained to me exactly what COULD HAVE HAPPENED with two different rims on my vehicle, I contacted Honda and they told me that was NOT covered. So, I spent $1,200.00 on new tires and rims so that my vehicle was SAFE TO DRIVE. I called the dealership to express my concerns and the representative, Tyler, coaxed me to come out to Arlington and said they would put me in a brand new 2020 Honda Accord with a smaller monthly payment and no money down. So, I drove out there from Carrollton in the rain and when I got there, guess what.....EVERYTHING CHANGED. Shady, shady, shady and they still did nothing about the $1,200.00 I spent on their certified pre-owned vehicle they initially sold to me. How does ANYONE in good conscience do that to anyone, let alone a 21 year old, young adult? But, suddenly, when I wouldn't take the new deal, TJ, one of the sales managers explained to me that her tires and rims WERE IN FACT COVERED under her vehicle protection plan! Now, how is this possible when I called while at Discount Tire this morning and told nothing was covered. TJ also tried to blame Discount Tire and said they were the ones trying to get one over on me/up sell me. They hadn't even taken the rims or tires off of the car when they showed me Honda's error! A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. Imagine if this was YOUR CHILD??? Are these people kidding me?!?!? I am an honest, hard working young adult and looking for NOTHING FOR FREE! Vandergriff Honda should be ASHAMED of themselves for treating any human being like this. We are not looking for freebies, but this is a disgrace and their certified pre-owned error could've killed me or someone else and they chose to do NOTHING. This is not over. No wonder car salesmen have terrible reputations. It's totally dishonest and disgusting. So, to any possible certified pre-owned buyers from Vandergriff Honda, BEWARE. Obviously, they do not truly do their due diligence on the vehicles they sell. I called American Honda Customer Relations and they said that since all their dealerships are independently owned, our concerns would need to be directly addressed to them. Andre was a doll as Usual and the Manager (Yuni) was pretty courteous and awesome. There was no game and he was pretty up front with what we were to expect pending our credit approval etc. If you ever come here Ask for Yuni and Andre they don't pressure or haggle they are truly there to help you out with any questions or concerns. Stopped in for my detailing and oil change (which is more like a moment of sanity with the great cafe and friendly people) when I happened to notice the new Accord had hit the lot. What an amazing auto! Jose took me out and let me drive it and see what I need to start saving up for. After getting back I went to check on my Civic and there she sat gleaming and in the reception garage out of the hot sun. Mike and Chris were working as a great team getting the customers in and out and looking like they truly enjoy their jobs. I've been to other dealers in the area and none of them provide the warm, welcoming atmosphere that Vandergriff does. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anybody. I bought a civic here and they low balled me on my trade in. Then I made the mistake of coming back for an oil change. The service person was argumentative and rude and I was there 3 hours waiting. It was very expensive too. Then they called to tell me I qualified for a lower interest rate. I came in to talk to them about it and after wasting 2 hours of my time they told me I actually didn't qualify for it. They just wanted to try to sell me a newer car. They wouldn't take no for an answer. The sales man wasn't listening to us. These people are very bad about the high pressure sales tactics. You should go somewhere else to buy a car. read more

I've been looking around at cars for while, and found one on their website within my budget range. The civic was listed at the time (Friday, 11/05/21), and at the time of writing this (Wednesday, 11/10/21), for $22,890. For a 2019 civic with only 24,429 miles, this is a great price! I went into the dealership a couple days later (Monday, 11/08/21) to test drive the car and purchase. Before speaking to a salesman, I looked at the car. There is cosmetic damage on the front (some scuff marks where the previous owner must have bumped it into something), and a spot on the hood where the gloss has faded. I was still interested in the car, however the website doesn't have this damage listed in the description, which was a concern for me. After speaking to the salesman, I was shown the car and allowed to test drive it. He did not mention the damage. It was dark outside by this time, so if I hadn't already seen the damage, I wouldn't have noticed it at this time. I did not let him know I knew about it, to see if at any time during the process, he would mention it. He never did. After test driving the car and expressing my interest, we went inside so he could run the numbers. I told him this car was within my budget and that I was looking at no more than a $300 payment. Now, he never disclosed the damage to the car, which is my first red flag. When he brought back the form with the "numbers" on it, was when I realized the company was trying to scam me, or any other person who comes in. The final price on the form was $34,000, after a $2500 trade in value for my current vehicle. So they are trying to sell me a car for $36,500, when its advertised on their site for $22,890. I even pulled up the advertisement and showed him. He claimed that the $36,500 is the current market value for the car. I told him repeatedly that this would not work for me and that that is not the advertised price for the car. He of course lowered things and messed with numbers as time progressed, but at no point did he offer the car at its ADVERTISED price. This company is very clearly using a bait and switch and falsely advertising their cars. Again, I was offered the car at nearly $15,000 over its advertised price, and the cosmetic damage to the car was never disclosed to me by both the advertisement on their website or by the salesman. I am concerned as to what else they aren't disclosing to me. Be very, VERY careful when purchasing from this dealership. They're using two of the biggest known car buying scams in the book. I was shopping for a vehicle a week ago. I contacted the used sales team and Liju George responded about a Santa Fe Hyundai they had on the lot. After crunching some numbers I then him I wasn't interested because it was more than my budget. Liju then contacted me again and said that he may be able to get a deal. I let him know ahead of time that I had to bring my 3 kids with me. I was ONLY coming in because he said he could deal with my price point. We arrive at the dealership and to my surprise the vehicle is not even on the lot. It had been taken to auction. Then he pulls up another Santa Fe for us to see but we can't really test drive it because my 3 kids fill up the backseat and he can't fit....That's before we offered to move the car seats into the vehicle to drive it. So we just went around the parking lot. He then gets his manager to tell us no deal to be had at my price point. Sooooooo Liju had me come in with my 3 children to see a car NOT even on the lot and then he NEVER even discussed my price point with the manager before we arrived. I sent an email to Honda because Liju wasted my time and they didn't even care enough to respond! NEVER again! Don't waste your time like Liju wasted my time with Vandergriff Honda! read more

Horrible experience!!! I would give them lower than one star. I am very upset after speaking to the service supervisor today to find a solution to the screw up they did. My father took he's vehicle for service to get a water pump replace they said it would only take 2 hours and now its 5 days. It's still not fix just sitting in the shop they never communicated to us what really happen in till today that i requested a supervisor. They said a screw broke and had to be order and now it needs a new engine Apparently the screws it had were not the "original" ones and now there is an issue with the engine. No rental was offer since we did not ask for one on day one. Like we new they were going to screw up everything and have to wait days. Their solution is either replace engine for over 5600.00 plus or pay for a tow truck and on top 250 for labor for taking the vehicle apart. This is ridiculous!! how are you going to take everything apart find out you can't fix it and tell us to take our vehicle damage by you people. what service are you running! seriously!!! We dropped off a running vehicle in good condition and now we have to take our damage car or pay 5600 or more to fix it! will never use them again for any kind of service!! avoid going here they only care about how much they will make even if they don't fix anything or screw up. They are good people. Please never shop at this dealership. Even after getting an online quote, they tried to give me a salesman with a higher quote. Shady dealership and shady people. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR REPAIRS! Brought my vehicle in equipped with the PAX system that had a flat. I explained to the service advisor that the tire was flat and would like to replace it and 1 other tire. Took 3 hours to determine the run flat was damaged and was not in stock and cost additional money. When I told them not to do the work, they mounted the other new tire anyway and told me I owed for the good one. I went and bought 4 new wheels and tires for the cost of 2 PAX wheels from this department. They then wanted me to pay for them mounting the 1 tire after being told not to do the work. I refused to pay them and brought my new wheels and tires and told them to keep the old ones. Will not be coming back nor will i recommend anyone to this service center. Rude, dishonest people. read more
