Don't let the ratings fool you. They may not cost as much as a BMW dealership, but you'll also get what you pay for. I came in to get a catless down pipe installed and they were not very forthcoming about the permit issues for the installation. As the experts you'd think they'd tell you about issues you would encounter. The explanation I was given is "most people who come here already know what the issues are". The worse part is, they removed the original converter and didn't even suggest putting it back on once I complained about the check engine light. Instead, they suggesting adding some sensor that they never even ordered. When I called back and asked about the original converter I was told they scrapped it. A converter in perfect condition, they supposedly scrapped it. A part that would cost about $1800 they "scrapped" it. Sounds like they sold it. I will NEVER bring my car to this place again. If you decide to go, I hope you're an expert because they won't explain anything to you. They assume most people already know. Also you might want to ask for your original parts back because they will "scrap" them afterwards. read more

Did not have a good experience, I had my transmission replaced and while my car was in the shop they managed to scratch my car in several locations and stated it could be buffed out and they did buff it out but of course the scratches returned. I had the entire car repainted approximately a year prior. There were more scratches elsewhere on the car as well. It took almost 2 months and several test drives before it was operating correctly and than less than a year the transmission failed and they did replace it again, so far no issues read more

I visited bimmer twice in my life First time I wasn't very happy. Was some AC issue. That actually cost by the radiator. This time I went to do my alignment. I didn't done that for years to be honest. And with BMW. You have to take it to the dealer or someone who deal with BMW. Most places don't do alignment for BMW. I had an appointment with BMW for Thursday at 1. But I texted Jose first to see if it's something he can do, And he said yes. He can do. And he said it was 220$. Maybe like 20$ cheaper than BMW. I didn't care about the price. But bimmer is closer to my home. So I said let's give it another try. And I am very happy I dropped it off on Thursday. I found Jose via Google and confirmed positive reviews on Yelp, then contacted him very email asking for a quote for body work and a/c repair on my BMW. He responded promptly and asked me to bring my car in. The location is a little hard to find on Irving. You might spot a printing shop before his office - just look for a parking lot with BMW's. Jose was very polite and professional from beginning to end. He got me a quote within a day, and did not seem to be money hungry. He even gave me advice on how to monitor and potentially mitigate my a/c issue without having to splurge on costly repairs. He recommended other work for which my car was due. His quote was also well below what the dealership provided. I just got my car back today and am very pleased with the work. The body work is spiffy and my car was freshly washed, which is just the cherry on top of all the other things he fixed. Good guy, definitely give Jose a call for your BMW needs. read more

I moved from out of state a few years ago and I've recently stopped taking my Bimmer to the local dealership. Mainly due to the poor service and high prices. As fall has swiftly approached I noticed my car starting to slow crank and I knew I was going to be due for a new battery. After calling around a few places I found Bimmer repair and i couldn't be happier. They worked me into their busy schedules same day and even found a few other things that needed to be corrected but didn't push me except for the tires because they could be life threatening. I should mention that they don't even sell tires so it's not like they were trying for a money grab. Jose did a great job on my car. I went to BMW of Dallas and Autoscope first. I've had terrible experiences at BMW of Dallas (broken windshield, probably broke my oil pan), and Autoscope was significantly higher cost for repairs. Jose spotted the same problems they did, also spotted a nail in my tire, and quoted me much more reasonable prices. I also had him run maintenance on my transmission, which runs much smoother now. WORST experience for routine service. I read the reviews, received a decent quote and thought "I'm glad I found this place". Made an appointment for 9am (time they open) Monday. Showed up promptly, dropped off my vehicle and to an Uber to work, a fact which I discussed with Norma before leaving my SUV. At 11am Norma called to inform me that the issue identified by the dealership was not the issue with my BMW. She recommended another service which I agreed to have done. At 12:45 I did a status call to discover that service did not address the issue but I would still be charged $100. I asked if they could discount the price if I allowed them to perform the service I originally brought my SUV in for, the issue identified by the dealership. Norma agreed and quoted a $50 charge for the unnecessary service in addition to the actual service I needed. Fine. EXCEPT when I called to check on my vehicle Norma informed me that the shop closed at 6pm (it was 5:53) and my car wouldn't be ready until the next evening. I stressed to her that I needed my car the next morning b/c I was expected in Ft. Worth at 8am and had no other means of transportation. She in a matter-of-fact manner told me that the mechanic could maybe finish by 9am. FURIOUS, I demanded my vehicle and headed directly to the shop where I was told by Norma that she expects customers to tell her if they need their vehicles back within the day and had no intention of calling me to inform me that my vehicle would be kept overnight and an entire extra day. MIND BLOWN. I'll NEVER come back to this place. They are the definition of unprofessional. read more

My 2007 550i has only been dealer-maintained since I got it but after my last experience with the dealer (over-priced maintenance and questionable customer service), I knew there had to be a better way. I took my 328i to Bimmer Repair last week and I couldn't be more happy with the service. About 2 months ago I got my starter replaced by a mobile mechanic that actually ended up screwing up more things in my car. More service lights eventually started to come on etc. Jose went in and found all the issues. There were air leaks and missing screws I had no clue about. He was fair, and honest. There was even a car part he quoted me for that he thought I'd need up front, but called me back saying I actually don't need it. Any other mechanic would have probably went ahead and made me pay for it. I'm 1000% happy with the service and quality of work Bimmer repair did. My car is running great. HIGHLY recommended. Once moving back to the Dallas area over a year ago, I knew I had to find several different services for myself and of course I needed a good, affordable and reliable mechanic to service my car. I got on the internet and I came across Bimmer Repair. Once I compared Jose's prices with my old mechanic in the city I had just moved away from, I decided to give Jose a shot. Now that I've been back in Dallas for some amount of time I'm still in search of a decent hairstylist, a manicurist, and the list of services I'm looking for and need goes on and on. I'm pleased to say that I have at least found a very good repair shop in Bimmer Repair. I liked Jose's knowledge and professionalism from the very start, but once Norma started working at the shop, being a woman myself, I felt more comfortable with having another "woman's point of view"/ input and also just feeling at ease about the "stereo type" about women getting "Taken" to the cleaners by mechanics. Once after not hearing static noise in my car speaker that was irritating to me and that I was complaining about, Jose said "Well I couldn't hear anything so I asked Norma to see if she heard anything and she also heard the static noise that's been irritating you". It showed me that he cared enough to figure the problem out and not just blow my concern off... he went as far as getting another woman's opinion/ view to get the problem solved. I dread going to the dealerships especially after the cars warranty expires so I always appreciate Jose, Norma and the crews professionalism and outstanding customer service...it makes me feel that I'm a valued customer and that my business is appreciated unlike the way I felt when I had to go to the dealership.
